I was recently married and we had 6 guests from abroad stay in this house. It was a great location for them - close to shops, restaurants, bars, grocery, cafes, etc. as well as very close to my husband and myself. The house itself is very spacious and the amenities provided with their stay were fantastic - our guests had phone, TV, and internet as well as laundry facilities, bedding, and basic groceries provided!
I would suggest the Berg House to anyone with a large group of people coming to visit - our guests all had a wonderful time! -

My family and guests were in the Minneapolis area for a wedding last weekend, January 17-20, 2013. Thank goodness the Berg House is within 15 minutes of most of the places we needed to be, especially the airport. I retrieved people from the airport 3 times. I chose the Berg House for several reasons. First, location. Second, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that had enough towels to service our 7 people nicely. Third, a full functioning kitchen where I baked and decorated the wedding cake. Fourth, the restaurants and stores in the area. Fifth, wifi. My 7 year old granddaughter loved the wooden toys and play kitchen. There were even jacks in a drawer for children. I was in email contact with Svein Berg who always responded quickly. My contract changed due to a longer stay. That was also handled professionally and quickly. The only problem we had was figuring out the heat thermostat. It was below zero outside so we were chilly until my husband figured out how to set it. I plan to stay in the Berg House during future visits to the Twin Cities. I highly recommend that you do too.

We loved the Berg House! Perfect for our whole family to congregate before and after our daughter Julia's wedding. Close to great restaurants, grocery store, St Catherines and the University Club. We had 3 little boys under the age of 5 and they were able to take naps and it was like being home. We were able to still prepare meals, enjoy the many sitting areas and be outside instead of being stuck in a small hotel room. Thank you!

Located in a quiet neighborhood on a not too busy street. Playground,shops and downtown St. Paul nearby. Plenty of room in the house with a nice patio in rear yard. Great for family with children. Hosts very easy to work with and responsive to insure a good stay.Would recommend this to others staying in the area.

My colleagues and I from the University of Wisconsin-Madison had a lovely stay at the Berg House. The location of the house was perfect for our meeting in downtown St Paul, we could walk, take the bus or drive (and park) easily to our venue. We enjoyed all of the comforts of the house and the surrounding neighborhood. We really loved the selection of drinks at the Muddy Pig and spent a few evenings there after our conference. Thanks to Svein and Olga for a great stay in St Paul!
