Andkar Vacation Apartment is a cosy,self contained fully furnished, first floor, two bedroom, one bathroom apartment. 10 minutes walk to the beach. Set in a quiet residential location in Heywoods Park Saint Peter. Andkar has high ceilings throughout and very spacious bedrooms. Both bedrooms are airconditioned. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other twin beds . It comes with tub/shower. Ceiling fans are located in both bedrooms, kitchen, dining and living area. Andkar Vacation Apartment is just a 10 minute walk to the beautiful Heywoods beach and within walking distance to famous Historical Speightstown. Heywoods beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados. The water is very calm and long walks can be taken on the beach. We are within close proximity to the famous Mullins Beach where you can find all of your watersports activities and Port St Charles Marina. 15 minutes drive to The Royal Westmoreland Golf Course and the Sandy Lane Golf Course. We are also walking distance to banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, postoffice, watersports, public transport, doctors offices and restaurants.

This apartment is spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. The house is in a nice neighbourhood, withing walking distance of Speightstown and Heywoods beach. We really enjoyed having our meals out on the balcony, with a view of the ocean to the west, and listening to the tree frogs in the evening. The owners extended a warm Bajan welcome to us, and were very helpful. We would recommend this apartment to our friends and colleagues. We enjoyed our dinners at Waverider restarant in town, snorkelling at Folkestone Park, and our visit to the beautiful east coast.

In order to have the perfect vacation, there are certain criteria that should be in place- great destination, weather, and accomodations. My perfect accomodation was The andkar Vacation apartment.
The owners andrew and Karene pay attention to what will make visitors comfortable and happy. This beautiful apartment has all the amenities of home (the mattress was perfect for my bad back!) If you like to cook, the fully equipped kitchen was a joy.. Andrew and Karene are wonderful, they go the extra mile to make certain you are pleased.
This property is located in the lovely neighborhood called Heywoods.The andkar apt. is about 5 minutes to the beach, close to Speightown and close to the public buses.

I had heard about Bajan hospitality but nothing had quite prepared me for Karene and andrew's hospitality! Nothing was too much trouble, from the collection and drop off at the airport, to the supermarket run for supplies, to some really great nights out!
The accommodation itself really has everything one could want; good aC, balcony, internet, hairdryer, beach towels, loads of space, decent TV channels...etc. etc.
The location is great for nearby beaches and Speightstown is a delight. It's also very near to where the local buses head to all the main towns across the island, so everything is accessible. I would highly recommend staying at andkar Vacation apartment - it is the only place I'll stay when in Beautiful Barbados!Response from Karene Roach - 12/07/2010
