Medina, OH, USAThis B & B is in a categoy by itself: beautiful home, loveingly
Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in September 2012
First, you must understand that we don't like B & B's. Most of them have tiny rooms with aging furniture and are cluttered and uncomfortable. We stayer at Shady Lane only because we couldn't find anything else in the area. What a wonderful surprise. The delightful hosts have built a charming home, exquisitely furnished and in a secluded and quiet location. Guest rooms are spacious and really lovely. Breakfast was imaginative and super-delicious. The hosts also have a lovely relaxing room just for guests, and offer their lovely patio to guests as well. They changed my attitude toward B & B's.

Right from the time of my booking with Ian and Pam, I knew that the service was going to be attentive and comfortable. My trip was a father and son get away to golf and take in a little beach time. The location of the B&B; is optimal if you plan to play Crowbush (5 minute drive) and Dunadrave/Brudenelle (20 minutes). If you want a world class beach and to not have to climb over top of people to stake out your patch of sand, 2 minutes down the lane is a great beach or 15 minutes down the road is Greenwich National Park. Our room was totally comfortable and there was also a generous common room for reading, watching satellite flat screen TV or catching up on emails (wireless internet). The breakfasts are fantastic! Ian mans the cook top and Pam is an expert with baking breads, muffins etc. Pam and Ian are fabulous hosts and will ensure that you are well taken care of. Enjoy.

We drove to PEI & were not sure where we would be staying. We didnt expect to travel through the island and down a little lane and come across a beautiful home. We were excited immediately. We were met immediately and shown around this beautifully decorated new home - everything so tasteful. A kitchen i have wanted all my life made me realise some superb meals would be served .. and we were not disappointed. We spent 4 nights at Shady Lane and couldnt believe our luck in finding this B&B.; It surely must be the islands best kept secret. Fabulous hosts that were fun, entertaining and delightful. The highlight of our summer holiday!

Our visit at the cottage for Shady Lane B&B; was terrific. It was a great place to stay with lots of space for our daughter to play. It was close to a terrific beach located just minutes away. Ian & Pam are very welcoming people. We have recommended Shady Lane B&B; to our friends & family members, if they ever intend to visit PEI.

Ian and Pam were fine hosts who went out their way to accommodate our needs. We were on a cycling holiday and asked if a dinner could be provided. They obliged with a menu of delicious options. The chat afterwards was more like a visit with family than a commercial exchange. Even while Ian was busy attending to the needs of other guests, he still went out of his way to make sure our needs were met. Thanks Ian and Pam for another reason to come back to PEI!

from the beginning it was most a enjoyable experience. Ian and Pam were very cordial and professional ion dealing with us and both are superb chefs. The home is just the most gorgeous setting you coul ask for overlooking the Gulf and Harbor.. The bed was just to die for in comfort and temps in the home very comfortable. I flet as though we knew them forever and were the most accomodatin couple to deal and visit with. I would give them a 5 star Plus rating and hope to visit them again. I have recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so. Richard and Sandra Corrigan, wEST glover vErmont, USa

Pincher Creek, ABHospitality at Its Best!!!

Upon arrival, Ian and Pam greeted us like we were family (rather than strangers!). Accomodating, knowledgable, friendly hosts. The cottage has a cozy feel and is private from the main house. Well stocked with everything we needed. A washer/dryer was a bonus. It was very clean when we arrived. The large yard was fantastic for the kids to run around in. Location was perfect for us to see the area (and close to a beach). Knowing we were going to arrive in the evening, the Rowe's offered to pick up some groceries to get us through until morning. That is above and beyond and we really appreciated it!! I could go on and on about the area and our gracious hosts and their hospitality...bottom line-we recommend a stay at Shady Lane.

Shady Lane is a charming B&B; completed to a superior standard. Pam and Ian made us feel very welcome in their home which is very tastefully furnished. Our king bed and linen was of a high quality. As its name suggests, it is surrounded by trees and attractive lawns and gardens. We have stayed at a lot of B&Bs; around the world and this would rate among the best. If you are cycling, it is only 5 mins off the Confederation Trail. We found Morell to be a better place to stay rather than St Peters, prettier and more convenient with a grocery store, bakery and liquor store.
