Set in the unspoilt peaceful Quanteraine valley, La Fosse Cottage is situated in its own land of approximately one acre adjacent to Mille Fleurs.
The cottage itself is a historic listed building dating from circa 1650 and is one of few remaining unspoilt split level houses on the island with many original features including the oldest working furze oven in Guernsey.

A beautiful and peaceful cottage, spotlessly clean with stunning gardens. The pool was a big bonus and a perfect temperature. The only improvement would be more cutlery/crockery, as there was only enough for 6 which meant everything had to be washed after every meal, and it would have been nice to have cushions for the loungers in the garden.

A beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings. Very well equiped all you need to sleep 6. Lovely warm welcome from the Russells. Lots of local knowledge and sdvice on where to go and what to see. Super pool and grounds.

After 11 years it was about time to come back (home) to this fantastic place. The Cottage, the garden and the personal hospitality/hints/advises in all is hard to beat. The Gold Medaille won (another award in the row) for 2012 demonstrate - this property is most probably one of the best places to stay on the island! On our holidays in the past years we have stayed in very many Cottages in England/Scottland/New Zealand and can only highly recommend this location - especially for a family.

A very enjoyable stay and we would happily recommend to others.
- The gardens are superb and the pool is very sheltered, sunny and inviting (although only the kids ventured in - it was april!)
- La Fosse cottage is very well appointed, comfortable and clean. There were nice touches too (fresh flowers, bottle of wine on arrival)
- The welcome from Jane and David was very friendly and we were made to feel most welcome at all times (they were great with the kids too) and always around for questions about exploring the island
- One suggestion - although the cottage sleeps 6 it would help to have more than 6 plates, spooons etc 9it made for frantic washing up each time we served a meal!)

A lovely little house, fully equipment, in typical English style. It felt like a home, beautifully and cosy decorated. Very beautiful garden. Nice and quiet. Good family value. Very friendly and hospitably owners. Perfect for peaceful Guernsey-stay. Quick drive to beautiful beaches. You do need a car to get around!

U.K.La Fosse Cottage review

We were most impressed by the beauty and tranquility of the cottage, its
location and the grounds, the friendly and high quality of the service
provided by Jane and David, and thoroughly enjoyed one of our most
relaxing holidays ever. The decor and spaciousness inside the cottage
are lovely whilst car parking is ample. We would highly recommend a stay
in what seems like one of the most peaceful and beautiful settings on
the delightful island of Guernsey. Thank you, we are returning this
year! -

We have stayed at La Fosse for a number of years and it is the venue for our main annual holiday.
It provides excellent and spacious accomodation in peaceful surroundings.
La Fosse benefits from being part of Mille Fleurs (ie the pool and gardens) but it is also some distance from the other cottages and is therefore very private.
Jane and David Russell are ideal hosts. They are helpful and supportive without being intrusive.
We do not know of better accomodation in Guernsey and recommend La Fosse and Mille Fleurs very highly.
