Our house is comfortable and affordable without compromising on location : there is so much to see on your doorstep !

Situated just 200 metres from the centre of the village it is central to shops, restaurants and all amenities. It allows a choice of a relaxing evening on the terrace after your day sightseeing or al fresco dining in nearby restaurants.

LE TERME is furnished to a highest standard in a traditional french style. A lot of thought and care has gone into ensuring the comfort of our guests.

HOUSE DESCRIPTION

Ground floor:

* Hall with storage area, coat-peg, wooden staircases... to terrace

* Spacious and light fitted kitchen, newly equipped with freeze/freezer, electric plates and oven, microwaves, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster; kettle...

* Bathroom with bath tub, toilets, washing machine.

* Cosy lounge with wooden floor and wood burner, sofa, armchairs, coffee table, flat screen satelite TV with french and foreign channels, DVD player ; and dining area with antique wooden table and chairs.

Wooden staircases to upper floor :

* A large master bedroom containing historical elements like the original fireplace (for decorative use only) and a private balcony with views to the village. There is a queen size bed, a wooden wardrobe, a built in closet. Relax in the armchairs or on the private balcony with views to the village.

* An adjacent second double bedroom, full of charm, with a queen size bed, a fitted wardrobe and door leading to the terrace area. It benefits from a tilled ensuite shower-room with a large italian shower and toilets.

On request an extra good quality campside bed, or a cot and a highchair can be provided for a child.

* A private locked cave is available for bicycles or wine purchases

Central heating and log fire means the house remains cosy all year round. Ideal for autumn and spring stays which are equally delightful times to visit or for longer lets for house-hunters during winter.

Bed linen, bath and hand towels, bath mats and tea towels are provided.

Welcome hamper on arrival

No smoking inside cottage please. No Pet.

Suitable for young children (cot and higchair available on simple request)

Changeover day is Saturday during the high season other days considered during mid and low seasons.

Last minute short lets may be possible.

ABOUT SAINT-CYPRIEN

Saint Cyprien is situated on the hillside above the River Dordogne and makes a perfect base for visiting the fabulous caves, beautiful villages and lovely scenery that this section of the Dordogne is famous for.

Saint Cyprien has a beautiful old town which winds uphill towards the 12th century belltower and the abbey church which dominate the town.
Along the main street are loads of restaurants and bars and a number of boutiques.
The real treat of St Cyprien is behind the Rue Gambetta, it is here that the old town starts. Behind the Tourist Office is the Place de la Liberte. From here head up the RUE DU TERME leading up towards the abbey.

Market day in St Cyprien is a Sunday morning. A good place to buy the culinary highlights of the region: Foie gras, walnut cake, wines of Monbazillac, Pecharmant and Bergerac as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.
