Description from the owner
The 18th Century village house is situated in the working village of Péret, which is build on the side of a hill overlooking the vineyards.
The house has 3 floors and a mezzanine and is entered through the kitchen, which has a large working open fire place. There is also a toilet leading off from this room.
The salon on the first floor has a click-clack double sofa bed, which can be used for quests, a chaise longue and a writing desk. This room has a Languedoc fireplace, but this is currently not in use

Péret is on the foot of a mountain range overlooking the vineyards. The Languedoc area is renowned for its wines and is the main wine region of France.
The village of Péret has a general store, a hairdresser and a patisserie. You can buy all your daily requirements including bread, meat and vegetables at the general store. The store also provides internet access.
Péret has a very limited bus service so a car is essential, Parking is available either in the cul de sac or in the 2 squares both 2 minutes walk away.
The market towns Clermont l’Herault and Pézenas are only 10 minutes drive from Péret. Clermont l’Herault has a market Wednesday morning), many good restaurants, an excellent cave (cellar for wine sales), Hyper-U supermarket and a very good organic shop, which is located in the industrial centre part of the town. The town has a lovely tree lined boulevard with outdoor cafes.
Pézenas (birthplace of Moliere) has a historic centre with many boutiques which sell anything from handmade jewelry, paintings to local designer clothes. The town has many small art galleries, cafes and good restaurants and has a more up market supermarket called Champion.
The cities of Montpellier and Bezier are 35 minutes drive away. Montpellier is a cultural city with a historic centre and is also great for shopping.
If you like to swim in the l'Herault river at Bélarga or windsurf, Lac du Salagou both just 15 minutes drive away or if you prefer a beach, Mèze is 25 min drive going in the direction of Sète. Marseillan another 10 minutes away has some great fish restaurants.on the harbour forshore
