Additional notes from owner
Those prices include everything, local taxes, linen, flowers, fruit basked, a wonderful welcome fridge, wine, champagne, beers and waters and much much more. The most amazing would be maybe the village, the ambiance of the house.

A bientôt Luc! -

Singapore, SingaporeBest place we ever stayed!
Left on 10/13/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We had an amazing stay in Luc's apartment in St Paul de Vence. After reading the glowing reviews and seeing the pictures on the website, we had high expectations before we went, but our stay exceeded all expectations. The village was magical, as was the suite which we stayed in - modern, well furnished, and full of character in a medieval stone house. Everything was great - the bed, the bath, the deco and setting. The kitchen and fridge was also well stocked with all kinds of drinks and food.
Above all, it was Luc who made the experience truly exceptional. He is an extremely kind and generous host who went out of his way to make sure that his guests have a great time and are well taken of. This has been a real highlight of our trip and we will highly recommend this magical place to everyone! -

San Franciscothe best ambassador you could ever ask for!
Left on 08/09/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Luc is the best friend and welcome ambassador a traveler could ask for. He welcomed us to Saint Paul de Vence like a long-lost relative and showed us around, introducing us to both the town's wonderful spots and characters! The apartment we stayed in was lovely! Air-conditioned with plenty of information to browse about activities and a refrigerator full of goodies! Luc took it upon himself to make sure we were outfitted each day with croissant or baguette and we ate well the whole time. A lovely basket of fruit was waiting for us as well. What strawberries!!
St. Paul is a really lovely community and close to many great art-spots. If you want to be a bit away from the coast and in a beautiful spot, you can't do better! One warning is that the town does get a lot of visitors in the summer. Not a big deal, but something everyone should know. It's also not such a great city to have a car in. Parking is rough!
But the views, the small streets, cultural history and architecture all make St. Paul a wonderful place to visit! You won't ever find a better host than Luc. He's the ambassador! -

Our stay at Luc's beautifully restored ancient home was the highlight of our trip to France. Nestled along the fortification wall of the medieval village, with a stunning view of the Provence country-side, this apartment blew our minds.
Luc was the quintessential host, welcoming us as long lost friends. There were fresh croissant left on our doorstep in the mornings, fresh milk and other goodies in the fridge, and a wonderful bottle of local wine.
The apartment was lovingly appointed, obviously by the hand of an artist. Whimsical touches and everything a weary traveller could need were tucked away in various nooks and cabinets.
Far from staying at a posh riviera hotel, settling in to this wonderful place was like becoming a local for a few days. Lean out the window, almost over the village wall, and smell the fresh Provence air-- let your hair down, relax... this place is one of a kind. An authentic Provence experience.
We only wish we could have stayed longer. We take comfort knowing that our friend Luc is in St. Paul de Vence when we return. -

PortlandThe best host in St Paul de Vence
Left on 06/09/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Our 4 night stay at La Maison aux Bonsais was in a word-glorious. The village is beyond charming, our apartment was in an historic building that had been skillfully restored and modernized, and Luc was the consummate host. He has a great warm heart and thinks of what will delight the visitor from the moment one steps inside-from the art objects to the well-stocked refrigerator, to the comfortable and stylish bed and bathroom with quality linens. The 1st morning we awoke to a bag of fresh warm croissants put inside our window grate.
At Luc's recommendation we took a day trip to Nice by bus for only one euro and ate lunch at a restaurant he enjoys. We spent the afternoon at the Mamac-the contemporary art museum and returned by evening.
After exploring the winding streets of St Paul de Vence, one can walk to the nearby Fondation Maeght, which should not be missed it's a treasure trove of European art and sculpture in a parklike setting. -

Not only is this gorgeous accommodation spotless, tastefully furnished and in a most beautiful, scenic village, it is also owned by the delightful Luc who is a true gentleman. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon. The larger apartment above is sensational also. Loved the extra (big extra) touches of fully stocked fridge on arrival, fresh croissants and pastries every day, toiletries and the kind attention of our host. We really felt that we got more than just a holiday, we got a real French experience with a much respected local identity when we wanted it. Our only disappointment was that we were not there longer. We really feel that we made a lovely friend in Luc.

Words struggle to describe Luc's hospitality. He is quite simply the most generous host I have known to date. Not to mention he is an extraordinary artist is his own right (Pompidou exhibited) and has created a vision within his accommodation. Saint Paul de Vence will forever be in my heart thanks to my experience under Luc's roof - thank you once again for opening your home and heart.

Aesthetically pleasing apartments where every little thing has been thought of. They combine rustic charm and hi-tech. Bed linen is crisp and fresh. Fridge and cupboards are brimming with goodies because Luc, the owner, doesn't want you to go without. The quintessential art of giving, more generous than some of your friends. All this at a steal in über chic St Paul de Vence. The kind of place that gives the Riviera a good reputation. You'll be back!

I spent a week at one of Luc's appartments and it was a lovely experience.
Luc is a fantastic and helpful host. The appartment is delightfully decorated ... a piece of heaven in the south of France!

Excellent service from Luc Tombeur. We stayed in Biloba for a week in October. The apartment was very comfortable and everything was provided. The village is beautiful, especially at night when all the tourists had left. A good range of restaurants (Colombe d'Or is very good).
Very easy by bus to Nice and beyond for interesting day trips.
But best of all was our wonderful host M. Luc Tombeur! -

My wife an I visited St. Paul for a couple of hours during a tour we took 5 years ago in Europe.
My wife is an artist and we both fell in love with the place and promised to return.
Our host, Luc, not only provided us with a beautiful apartment in the heart of town, but also with a well provided fridge and, most important, with his personal friendship.
He took us in his house as his guests and gave us all the information related to the surroundings to help us enjoy our stay as much as possible.
All together we had a perfect stay in one of the most beautiful towns that we have visited in our travels. -

Luc is the most perfect "host” you could imagine and should you wish to visit the Cote d'Azur in France, I could not recommend this spot more heartily. It is magic and well situated for day trips to anywhere including Italy and Spain. Monaco and Nice are a heartbeat away. We are already anticipating our return.
We stayed in the Ginko suite - an elegant and beautifully appointed air conditioned suite that instantly feels like home. It was perfect for us. The bathtub is devine and the bathroom became my favorite space! Luc Tombeur is the unofficial heart of St Paul. Everyone knows and loves him because of his ready smile and welcoming demeanor. He and his late wife ran a gallery in the village and Luc himself is an artist. When you are at La Maison aux Bonsai, you become like family and like a good parent Luc knows when to leave you on your own and when to operate quietly in the background. Croissants magically materialized on our doorstep each am. Our suite was filled with fresh flowers when we arrived- not to mention a stocked fridge and a stack of relevant literature about the area. When we left we knew that, despite all the attractions of the village and the Cote D'Azur (and they are multiple), it would be Luc and his generous hospitality that we missed the most.
