Brisbane, AustraliaVery Pleasant Stay in St Remy
Left on 05/05/2013 for a stay in May 2013
We stayed in Mazets de Pascale for a week in early May 2013. The experience has been enjoyable, not the least of which was the security and ease of parking which can be a problem in the busy inner hub of St Remy. The property is only 10 minutes walk from the centre of the town.
The owner Pascale is a delight - she is very open and friendly and helpful with her local knowledge and directions. Her home made tapenade is great too ! The accommodation offerings are two self contained units on the property, one larger than the other with a separate bedroom to the living area. This is the one we chose and would recommend to others as it is larger and more functional.
St Remy is well located in the centre of the the province and drives to Les Baux, Avignon, Arles and Nimes are short, maximising the touring time available. There is a plethora of restaurants to choose from for lunch and evening meals.
A very enjoyable stay in a beautiful area of the world. -

Small, compact gite in nice setting 5 minutes walk from all amenities and centre of St. Remy. Very welcoming host and a quiet area of town. Also within walking distance of hikes to les-Alpilles.
Lots to see and do in area and town has shops, boutiques and eateries in abundance.
We visited Eygaliares just east of St Remy which is a lovely little village with a good market on a Friday. Other good trips worth the visit were Gordes, Les Beaux - in the heart of the alpilles, and avignon. -

We felt very lucky to find this holiday rental for our first trip to Provence. It was suggested to us to stay in a city (Arles or avignon) and venture out to the nice little villages for day trips. However, we prefer to do the opposite so chose this little town as our base, and it was perfect! We were at the beach, in the larger cities, in other little villages - all within a 45 minute drive max. - and had this perfect little rental to come back to at the end of the day. And if we were tired of driving around, we could just leave the car under the fig trees for the day, and explore all St. Remy had to offer.
Pascale is charming and helpful, and the whole process of rental couldn't have been easier. -

Thankyou so much Pasquale for a great week at your Mazet. The compact one bedroom Mazet had all you needed for a comfortable stay. Not luxurious but clean and functional The outdoor area great for meals and the pool a welcome sight after a day of touring. If you are lucky enough to be here in September the two old fig trees produce more than you can eat. Pasquale is the perfect hostess unobtrusive but there for you if you need her. We'd love to stay here again. Thank you

Left on 04/29/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Les Mazets de Pascale provide a terrific base to explore the area around St. Remy de Provence. The mazets are just a few minutes' walk to downtown in one direction or in the other, a few minutes to les alpilles, yet the ambience is quiet and peaceful. The parking is easy and secure under huget leafy Plane trees. Pascale is a terrifically congenial host, always with a bright smile and eager to help. Last October (2011) and again just recently my husband and I stayed in the cheerful little independent studio. It's got all the basics and is quite efficient with the futon-type couch-bed which easily folds out into a double bed. The studio is right next to an expansive grassy area where you can enjoy peace and quiet after a busy day exploring. The pool area is lovely and though the water was too chilly to take a dip into in april, it was a great place relax on the comfy lounge chairs. We look forward to our next visit!

Each day we had an idyllic time exploring the old town of St Remy and it's surrounds then shopping for our groceries and coming 'home' to this clean, cozy gite to dine, relax with a good book and generally unwind.
Pascale and her family were perfectly lovely hosts, helpful yet respectful of our privacy. We hope to visit again some day! -

Tucked away in a quiet residential street in St Remy, not far from the centre of this attractive little Provencal town, is the home of Pascale and Christian Brès. In their spacious garden are 2 small gîtes. We had the larger one, and found it cool, comfortable and spacious for a couple; with its shady patio and the use of a pool, it made for a perfect holiday stay. Off road parking, behind secure gates, is a bonus for an urban gîte.
The owners are the perfect hosts - there when you need them for help or advice, but unobtrusively in the background to give you privacy.
St Remy has a wealth of restaurants covering all price ranges, as well as cafes; there are many other places of interest within a 20 or 30 minute journey. It took us about 10 minutes to walk into town - or 15 with a stroll along the canal path!

We stayed here twice (last year and last June) and had a great time. Pascal is lovely person and very quick in answering emails. The gite is comfortable and large for 2 persons. The kitchen is nice although we did not really cook meals. Outside there is a large terace with a table and chairs and 2 easy chairs. There is also a barbecue.
There is plenty of room for parking.
The swimming pool is around the back of Pascal's house and is large and clean. There are deckchairs and an umbrella for shade.
The gite is 5-10 minutes walk from the center of Saint Remy de Provence. The bakery is even closer at the end of the road. -

Great base to explore Les apilles and the Provence! You can do nice hikes without using your car. The cute little house is great, very spacious, with an extremely well-equipped kitchen, a cozy bedroom and a nice private terrasse in a beautifil garden. Very quiet, but close to the center of St. Remy (no need for a car). We definitely recommend Les Mazets! Do not miss out the olive oil, an in-house production by charming owner Pascale!

They offer you a piece of peace :-) and tranquility. You can go over there with closed eyes ! It's a really really good place to be !

We have just returned from staying Pascale and Christian's gite in St Remy de Provence. This was our first holiday abroad with our 2 year old son. The very welcoming and hospitable hosts made everything easy for us. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was of a high standard and everything was clean, tidy and spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 children. They provided a high chair and travel cot and the kitchen was fully equipped with microwave, gas hob, fridge and freezer. The excellent location of this gite in St Remy de Provence, a 5 minute walk from the bustling and vibrant town centre, allowed us to enjoy its many restaurants (food for all tastes) and tree-lined streets. Moreover, its favourable position in relation to the many varied sights in Provence makes this location even more attractive (Arles, Camargue, beaches, Nimes, Les Baux de Provence, Pont du Gard). The host's swimming pool allowed us to cool off in the afternoon and escape from the afternoon sun. A lovely relaxing holiday and ideal for people looking to discover Provence and all it has to offer.

Norfolk, VASt. Remy - delightful stay on a budget
Left on 04/27/2011 for a stay in June 2008
My 19 yr old son and I stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. I was thrilled to return to St. Remy and to be able to share it with my son in a way that we could afford. We ate every meal outside on the little patio, met and enjoyed our "neighbors" in the other gite, and were well taken care of by our hosts and their children. The pool is lovely, the location is perfect, and the area is quiet and lovely. I would love to return! (My one suggestion would be to have a sturdier futon/day bed in the main room. My son is 6'1" and about 200lbs, so it was a bit tight for him.) We hope to be back.
