Tel AvivHospitality is what makes this perfect place unforgettable
Left on 05/11/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We stayed at La Bastide for a week in March. Being a family with two small kids, we were looking for a house that has all of the amenities, as well as helpful owners. We found better. The house is one in a group of several perfectly restored very old buildings that sit on the outskirts of St Remy de Provence. We found a great kitchen, really comfortable bedroom, beautiful bath. All clean, in perfect condition. Air conditioners in all rooms, welcome dinner, all you would need to cook in.
The village has a great supermarket, gas station, restaurants and shops.
But, all of this is just an addition to your host. William was born to do this -

Toronto (area)A great base from which to explore the treasures of Provence.
Left on 04/22/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We enjoyed a great stay. True to his word, William had prepared a very tasty dinner for our arrival. After a long drive from Nice it was much appreciated.
Our unit was charming - decorated in true "Provence" style (with a most cpmfortable bed). William delivered a tasty breakfast each morning and helped us plan our daily outings. There is so much to see within a short distance of St. Remy which makes this a great base. Our visit was in the early Spring (lovely spring flowers and blue skies) but we would like to return in Summer to enjoy the patio and pool.
We highly recommend Provence Paradise.Response from William at PROVENCE PARADISE - 04/23/2013

Thanks for your visit and for your kind comments, Margaret and Paul. It was a pleasure having you here. I especially enjoyed our little morning meetings to set your plans for the day, as a function of weather, energy and special interests. You must come back to see us... there are still lots of things on that overall list of things to do and see.

La Bastide was ideal for my wife and me...along with friends...to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. William was the perfect host...pastries delivered to our door every morning, dinner and wine upon arrival, Euros for parking in avignon, recommended restaurants with complimentary drinks from the chef...and much more. Provence Paradise is truly unique in accommodating its patrons with a personal touch. And Saint-Remy, with its colorful market, excellent cuisine, and
Van Gogh museum, is ideally located for easy driving to some of the most important sites in Provence. A rating of five stars is without a doubt deserving of Provence Paradise! -

Auckland, New ZealandTruly a holiday in Paradise
Left on 09/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012
William and his "team" provided a totally professional service during our 3 week stay in Provence Paradise. They were always discreet, kind, helpful, resourceful and available but never "in your face". William never ceased to amaze us with his kind and generous contributions of croissants and pains au chocolat for breakfast and various surprises of delicacies and champagne during our stay.
We had several friends and family members stay with us during the 3 weeks, and we all agreed that we could not have found a better complex to meet the varying needs of 3 generations.
La Bastide is a 2 level home tastefully decorated in a relaxed French provincial style. It was very comfortable and pleasant to live in. With 2 lounges and 2 private patios that accessed the pool area there was as much privacy or communal living as we each chose to have.
There is a 15 minute walk to the delightful St. Remy township and we enjoyed the choice of cafes and restaurants for lunches or evening meals. The shoppers amongst us enjoyed browsing in the wonderful selection of boutiques searching out souvenirs to take home, while the historians walked the Van Gogh trail and visited the Roman ruins. However all of us went wild in the Wednesday market which took over the entire township. Dinners on Wednesday nights were always a noisy banquet at home with everyone participating in the preparation of their "contribution" from the market.
We really enjoyed the opportunity to get together and spend hot lazy days in such wonderful surroundings and in the pool with our daughters & grandchildren, who otherwise live on the other side of the world from us.
The only negatives were our expanding waistlines and having to leave!
Thank you William. -

La Bastide had all the comforts of home away from home. William was a wonderful host who made you feel very welcome and was only too willing to make sure you made the most of your stay in Provence. St Remy is a delightful place to base yourself to do as many day trips as you wish or just relax at home with all the amenities provided.

Frankly, I must say that we enjoyed you just as much as you enjoyed us. It was magic!
And that great rum from "down under" is for special occasions, when we drink to the good health, happiness and return someday soon of the WALSH and BELLOTTI families.
Thanks for your words of encouragement. It's wonderful to know we helped make your stay in Provence one full of great memories. That's definitely one of our highest objectives. -

Words cannot express the amazing time we had while staying at "La Bastide" We would highly recommend and we do plan to return to this special place.
William is the perfect host and welcomed us to his beautiful "La Bastide" with a delicious dinner, fresh croissants every morning and his time he took with us was way beyond what he had to do. He gave us maps, insight on local villages, markets, restaurants, historical sites and much more. What a delight! Wish we only could have stayed longer.

Dori and company, what an honor to be part of a "dream come true!" Many thanks for taking the time to post your comments. Indeed, your visit to our PROVENCE PARADISE "hamlet" was a pleasure for us, too. You came at a great time of the year (late March/early April), when the overall conditions are perfect for a quality visit to all of the sites we had recommended. It would be a pleasure for us to see you again here with us in the not-too-distant future!

We (2 adult couples) stayed in La Bastide at Provence Paradise, a wonderful experience from start to finish. William Moore, the gracious owner, is as warm, charming and helpful as all the reviews said he was. We planned this trip a year in advance, and William's help started before we had booked, by answering our many questions. Once booked, he helped us arrange some extras that made our trip special - renting bicycles, a wine tour and a dinner with a private chef.
When we arrived there was a full dinner ready for us, with chilled rose and beer. All we had to do was unpack, put dinner in the oven and relax. The kitchen and fridge were stocked with everything we needed to start us off the next day. The well appointed kitchen had the spices, cooking utensils and appliances we needed and there was a BBQ outside. A super market was only a few minutes drive away, and the town, with all its wonderful shops and restaurants was a 10 minute stroll away. Best of all, William or one of his staff showed most mornings with fresh pastries and croissants.
La Bastide provided plenty of space and enough privacy for two couples. Everything is decorated in a charming manner. It has two bedrooms, each with its own bathing and toilet facilities. The sitting areas and 2 outdoor terraces provide many places to relax. Having a washer and dryer means packing less. The property is beautifully landscaped, with many gorgeous flowers and a working water wheel. The outdoor pool has lots of relaxing areas to lounge.
The location is very central for seeing Provence, and William gave us suggestions for places to visit, including tips on markets and where to park. He and his staff are able to speak other languages and can smooth out any bumps in your travel plans. Staying at Provence Paradise was a wonderful experience, enhanced by the incomparable William Moore, and his friendly and helpful staff. We had a fantastic time and can't rave enough about it.

We stayed at Provence Paradise for a reunion of our very scattered family. It proved the perfect place with pleasures on site as well as excursions to suit us all. The considerate and professional service was invariably helpful without being in any way intrusive.

We are happy to meet all of you "scattered" HAMPSON's. Glad to know that we met your expectations. Yes, we have a "discreet presence" policy which seems to be appreciated by most. If you need us for something, we come in a flash to help. Otherwise, one of our prime concerns is to assure your comfort and privacy as a family.

Canadian newlyweds
TorontoA heavenly base for our Provencal wedding
Left on 09/07/2011 for a stay in May 2011
My fiance and I had a dream of returning to Saint-Remy-de-Provence, a stunning village through which we backpacked together as students, for an intimate destination wedding. As a pair of romantics with no family or friends in the area, we knew our dream would be challenging to pull off...
But then we heard, through word of mouth, about a self-catering vacation hamlet called Provence Paradise, run by a certain William Moore.
It turned out to be the stroke of luck that made our dream possible.
With a group of 47 guests coming from Canada and England -- many visiting Europe for the very first time -- we descended upon Provence Paradise for a whirlwind week in May 2011. The unforgettable experience we had simply would not have been possible without William and his team.
William's amazing hospitality, know-how, research, guidance and moral support was such a special part of our wedding, beginning one year before the event when we first met him, and extending all the way to the final details of the wedding planning.
When it comes to giving guests the best possible experience of this part of the world which he clearly loves so much, William is part artist, part wizard! So many of the special details of our trip were due to his suggestions and thoughtfulness.
I stayed in La Bastide with my bridesmaids before the wedding, and will always treasure the memory of walking over to La Tuilerie for evening meals and music, and having glasses of rose and long conversations around the pool.
Provence Paradise is a meeting place for travellers, infused with love, creativity and passion -- the very qualities that made us fall in love with the Provencal region. We can't gush often or loudly enough about how beautiful, tranquil and inspiring this place is, and how much fun we had being a part of the Provence Paradise family. We now think of William as the "fairy godmother" figure of our wedding, and daydream about returning to Saint-Remy for our 10-year anniversary.

Any stress from traveling was quickly alleviated by the warm and sincere welcome which soon confirmed Williams well deserved reputation. We were greeted with a chilled bottle of Rose' a freshly baked Lasagna and a well stocked fridge, the next morning a bag of fresh croissants discreetly appeared on our doorstep. This is self catering on another level.
The houses are well arranged as a small hamlet so you can be as private as you wish but there are plenty of opportunities to meet & mingle with fellow guests. We stayed in La Bastide with our friends from australia, their friend recommended Provence Paradise and we have to say although we have never met him we would like to thank him.
La Bastide is a spacious, beautifully decorated well equipped house with lovely personal touches benefiting from Williams many forays to the local markets.
This is a wonderful part of France, the location is ideal and you can easily walk to St-Remy-de-Provence which is a lovely little town with a lively market on a couple of days of the week. There are many wine areas to tour, great restaurants, wonderful geography and historical sites all within a short drive. William is a mine of information and helps you plan your visit by pointing out which activities you won't want to miss however, should you just wish to relax and take in the warm Provence sunshine there is a lovely pool and garden area.
You quickly get the impression that this is far more than a business venture for William, he is a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Province Paradise.

My wife an I stayed here 7 nights during a three week trip to Europe. The home was outstanding. Nicely decorated, cozy, spacious. 3 Tv's, wifi, CD player with a nice selection.A nice library of books, including reference books and maps relevant to the region. Close to the wonderful pool area with its lush vegetation, flowers, and warm sun. The proprietor, William, goes above and beyond what you would expect from such a busy fellow. Our itinerary for exploring the region was greatly enhanced by his advice. Located on the edge of the town of St. Remy, this proved an ideal base to explore Provence. The town is not too big, but has everything you need, restaurants, shopping, banking, etc. Easy to park or to walk to. Driving in Provence was a dream. Few stoplights, excellent roads, good signage. I found it very relaxing. I am confident you would love "La Bastide".
