Walk into the quaint village of Noves (10 minutes) where you can enjoy the local cafes, open air market, or pick up your daily baguette at a charming patisserie. Additional Location Information
LOCATION is one of Moulin de la Roque's best features. It is exceptionally well located in the heart of Provence just minutes from its most treasured and beautiful sights, villages, cities, beaches and vineyards. Enjoy visiting fabulous markets in one of the nearby villages of St Remy de Provence or Isle-sur-la-Sorgue where Provence comes alive with flowers, fresh foods, traditional fabrics, tiles, pottery, arts, wine, olive oil and antiques.
A private road and just a short walk connects le Moulin de la Roque with Noves, an old rural village with restaurants, bakeries, butchers, grocery stores, pharmacies, doctors and a post office... Noves, unlike many villages, is easy to reach : Noves is only 8 miles from Avignon - the air and rail hub for this part of Provence. Paris to Avignon by TGV train is just under 3 hours and from Brussels only 5 hours. Marseille airport is 45 mintues to the south and the highway A7 (Paris to Marseille) and Nice is just 3 miles from Noves.

Gaby and Guy are fantastic hosts for a holiday in Provence. We had the pleasure of staying in La Bergerie with another couple. Everything was as advertised and then a whole lot more. The personal touches, the warm welcome and atmosphere made the stay very pleasant. The directions we got from Guy and Gaby were terrific, since the GPS can't find Moulin de la Roque. The estate is charming and the house is very comfortable. It was a great location for us to tour the area in the short time that we had (6 days 5 nights). Gaby or Guy were always available for advice and a nice chat. We were very pleased with their advice to take La Bergerie. I would hope to return one day and enjoy the grounds as well as since the pool looked so inviting. But we were in the area in November and we concentrated on touring the area.
One can see all the dedication that the two put into all the details of the property and the enjoyment they get from guests who just fall in love with them and the estate. We are happy to have new friends in Moulin de la Roque. -

Left on 11/22/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We arrived at Moulin de la Roque and it was just picture perfect and everything we had imagined about Provence. It exceeded our expectations. Gaby and Guy and their team (particuarly Hicham) were brilliant hosts - so warm, friendly, helpful, informative and professional. We stayed in La Bergerie for two weeks in early September. La Bergerie was spacious, clean, well equipped and had the most beautiful view of the garden from the terrace. Other family members stayed in Le Studio and Le Tuilerie which were also great. Even with a 3 year old and 2 month old, we managed to have such a relaxing holiday. The estate's location was a fantastic base for us to do day trips to avignon and beautiful towns like arles, Gordes, Saint Remy and so many others. Every second day we relaxed back at Moulin de la Roque with the children in the pool, on the trampolines, playing boules, relaxing on the lawns and on the terrace. We had a BBQ almost every night as the weather was just gorgeous the whole time. Almost every morning someone in our family would walk into the village Noves (10 min walk) and buy fresh baguettes and pastries for breakfast and lunch. Our time in Provence had exceeded everything we had imagined and Moulin de la Roque was the main reason. We will be back!
Room Tip: If you have children, La Bergerie is a good choice as it has great access to the lawn and its terrace is very private.
