      Heaven in Provence

Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We can not thank David enough for making us feel so welcome in his beautiful house. The most well equipped house we have ever stayed in with the charm of yesteryear. Lovely large comfortable beds, lovely old world kitchen to cook in and plenty of lounge space. Our favorite was the sun porch looking out to the hills. We felt so comfortable. The location could not have been better, a short walk in to the charming town with more restaurants than you could ever eat at. David has a very good list of recommendations which were all good. market on a Wednesday is a must. We had some lovely walks in the surrounding countryside and as we were on motorbikes we explored some of the lovely neibouring towns. Plentry of history, shopping etc - something for everyone. We had a week and could well have had longer. it is on our list of places to revisit and would definitely stay here again. I had the best treat when I joined Nito for a cookery class. It was the most wonderful day, I learned so much, met some very interesting people, cooked devine food and then ate it along with some wonderful wines provided by David. This is a must for any level of cook.
Again a very big thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Great Central Location for vacationing in Provence

Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We loved this house. It had everything we needed including a washer/dryer which comes in handy in the summer. My husband, myself and two teen age boys age 13 and 18 thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We walked into town every night and had a delightful meal and a pleasant walk home. St. Remy is truly centrally located with nothing more than 45 minutes away that we visited for 6 days/5 nights. We traveled by train to avignon TGV, rented a car and with easy directions from the owner, arrived in the charming town on a Saturday early evening. It was only about 10 - 15 minutes from the train station. Easy driving to the Hill towns, Nimes, Les Baux, Avignon and Isle de la Sorgue. Visited a couple of wineries just minutes away. We loved it and would love to stay there again.

First rate property, well appointed and located

Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's an easy walk to town but far enough away not to be bothered by any noise. It would suit two couples perfectly.
Unlike the last property we rented this one has everything you'd expect and we only needed to buy laundry detergent.

      Excellent location, spacious, well equipped

Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We liked the location at the edge of town, away from the hubbub but within easy walking distance of town and the historic sites of Glanum and the St. Paul Monastery. Home was basically as advertised but showed some signs of neglected maintenance. Not all air conditioners were working, gate locking mechanism was tricky until you got the hang of it, and the awning mechanism was too sensitive, withdrawing its welcome shade at the slightest hint of a breeze. Patio garden needs a shade tree or umbrella to make it usable in summer; otherwise it's much too hot for comfortable lounging. Owner was very responsive to questions and problems. Overall, would rate it a good experience, above average.

      Fantastic Location!

Left on 05/26/2012 for a stay in April 2012

The location of this villa can't be beat. The villa is located a mere 5 minute walk from the charming town center of St. Rémy, a 3 minute walk to a grocery store and the Visitor Information Center. It is also close to the major highways which made it very easy to visit other towns in the area. We enjoyed having our meals in the fantastic glassed in porch and outdoor patio. The home is very large by rental standards in France. Thank you David for your assistance with local reservations we appreciate the promptness on the return of our security deposit.

      Best holiday ever

Left on 04/26/2011 for a stay in March 2011

Our holiday in St Remy de Provence was everything we had hoped for and more. The service provided by the hosts and property manager was warm, welcoming and generous. We will be forever grateful to them for making our holiday so special. The property offered everything you could possible want, was very comfortable and provided outstanding views of the alpilles. The location was brilliant as it positioned us on the door step of the centre of St Remy, a most charming village which was both relaxing and stimulating. We can't wait to return.

Pleasant, homey base for a Provence visit

Left on 02/27/2011 for a stay in September 2010

We enjoyed the house and its setting very much. David and Nito were friendly and welcoming. The view up the hill toward the alpilles is beautiful. The walk into town is just right, as is the walk up to the ruins at Glanum, and there are inumerable worthy day trips that can be taken in every direction. The house itself was comfy--not luxurious, but furnished with a number of interesting pieces that made it feel personal. And there was almost everything one would want for an extended stay, with one exception: internet. Although there are a few places one can connect in town, they aren't really convenient for casually checking on your email, etc. We would recommend the house and stay there again if internet was installed.

      Memorable stay in Provence!

Left on 01/20/2011 for a stay in September 2010

There were two adult couples that stayed in this house. The younger couple stayed in their converted apartment in the old town. We were met by David, who showed us the house and how to operate the kitchen, etc. There was plenty of room for privacy and it was well appointed. It has a view to the south that is spectacular. It is within walking distance to all essential food stores, boulangeries, patisseries and restaurants or bistros. It is an excellant location to see Provence and experience its lifestyle.

      Beautiful Home with Great Location

Left on 01/13/2011 for a stay in July 2010

We loved the property, location and privacy. The home itself was spacious and had a Provence feeling to it. We liked the fact that we could use the bedroom and bath on the ground floor and enjoy the patio and the wonderful view. We loved being able to easily walk into St. Remy.

      First Time to France

Left on 01/13/2011 for a stay in June 2010

We spent seven nights here. It was just like having your own home. Walking distance to downtown St. Remy.. 5 to 10 minutes. David and Nito are great hosts. My mother was born in France and this was my first time to see where she was from. The house was wonderfully furnished and everything about it was great. We also took the one day cooking class that Nito and David offer at their inn, and it was great fun and a time to meet different people. If we ever come to St. Remy again, would definitely see if this house was available.
