It is hard to put into words my comments on our stay at Provence Paradise; not only was the accommodation excellent, and I mean fantastic, the dedication of William to make our holiday special goes way beyond words. During our stay one or more of our group of six were sick at one time or another and the help that William gave us was unbelievable and as mentioned way beyond words. Thanks William we will not forget. I would suggest without hesitation to anyone thinking of staying in that region, do not go past Provence paradise. It is Paradise. The detail and thought that has gone into the accommodation, including stocking the refrigerator and wine cellar, was extraordinary. We have travelled to many parts of the world and none of us has ever encountered such hospitality and unless we go back I don't believe we ever will again. William we will be back.

Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012
I write "life in Provence" because it felt like we were living there, not just a holiday. William and his team made sure that we had everything (and I really mean everything) so that we enjoyed our time there. We were a very high maintenance group: with a small baby (8 months old) who required every bit of gear (bed, high chair, car seat, toys, etc) and a 4 year old ready to play and have fun, we were ready to accommodate to whatever we found. But no, William had prepared everything for us, we had all the necessary gear and more, we had a fantastic pool, a beautiful house (ohh I want to be there in winter too) and a host who went out of his way to please and help his guests. The highlight of our holiday: eating outdoors every day. We loved the set up of the house and we had our alfresco breakfast, lunch and dinners.
Thank you William. You are a fabulous host.

We would be very happy to see you and your young family with us again at PROVENCE PARADISE. And, YES!, you ought to come at least once in the winter... we can sit together and sip red wine in front of a roaring fire. Plus, next week we install the wood-buring stove (just in time for the cooler weather), in the new glassed-in porch. Should be magic!
Thanks again for being such a nice family to have as guests! Truly! Remember, we are "just down the hill from Luxembourg." Come again and/or send us other great people just like you! -

Our experience at Provence Paradise owned and operated by William Moore can be expressed in one statement : we did not want to leave and would have extended our time in St. Remy if possible. Since it was not possible, we know we will be back. William was the consummate host and more. Not only did the location, accommodations and overall experience live up to what he advertised, they were exceeded. What you read in the on line posts are all true. We had a sumptuous dinner waiting for us upon check in. We stayed in Moulin Veil which was perfect for our family of two adults and two girls ages 16 and 20. William checked in on us everyday see if we needed directions, reservations or just suggestions. I am confident that all of the other accommodations offered by William were just as nice as ours. I can say that we really relaxed and will make Provence a return destination and will once again make Provence Paradise our home away from home.

We had a wonderful week of exploring Provence and enjoying the peaceful paradise of Le Moulin at Provence Paradise. The best part about the whole trip was how helpful and attentive William was. He helped us get the most out of our trip by working with us each day to map out the best adventures to take our small kids on. It's tricky to travel with small kids but William and Le Moulin made it easy. William was so kind with them and they have been asking to stay at Mr William's place again. The place was clean and well stocked, and had everything we needed for our 9, 3 and 1 year old.

Indeed, we all hope that you will make it here (at least!) once again, maybe in a different season of the year.... to explore a bit more of Provence and see our countryside from an additional angle, in the early Spring or mid-Fall.
Your boys are great and added lots of "life" to our PROVENCE PARADISE "hamlet" during the week you were here. It was a pleasure to have you with us! -

Our stay in Le Moulin Vieil was better than could be expected, on any level. The accommodation was superb with all the amenities you could imagine and then some. William was not only accommodating and helpful, he made reservations and suggestions for our group of 10 which improved our stay immensely. He was instrumental in helping us plan a very special dinner for my husband's retirement party and we all had a wonderful evening. His knowledge of the area and history was very useful and it helped us decide how to plan our day. Each morning William delivered warm pastries so we were able to tell him of our plans for the day and he always had a helpful hint to make our day better. This is truly a one of a kind find and so is William! Looking forward to coming back.

Hospitality is the art of making guests feel treasured and welcomed!!! William and his staff at Provence Paradise made myself and guests just that!!! I felt like I had known William for years, extremely friendly, warm smile, a sincere caring attitude everyday!!! He had a broad based knowledge about the area, guided us without any mistakes on what and where to go...he served warmed croissants and pastries to us each morning, giving us an orientation on where to go and what to see for the day! His staff was always available to our needs and had a warm delicious meal ready for us when we first arrived to stay at the paradise! The home we stayed in was charming and decorated to the tee with everything we needed!
We ranked his abode 6 plus stars!!! If you want to feel right at home as soon as you arrive and get more than your money's worth, please stay at Provence Paradise! We are going back as soon as we can to stay there again!!Response from William at PROVENCE PARADISE - 05/01/2012

Our visit to this lovely hamlet in Saint Remy and our stay in Le Moulin Vieil was everything and more than expected! The accommodations were perfect for us; William's attention to details, thoughtful day-planning trips, tips to make each adventure a positive one, navigation of the towns, villages, and sites enjoyable including secret parking spots. The hospitality William extended to us made this a fantastic experience. Le Moulin Vieil has modern features coupled with many antiques, collections, artwork and attention to details in the restoration of this lovely cottage. William organized a fabulous cooking class at art & Cook complete with a trip to the outdoor market to shop for fresh ingredients and a step-by-step guided class under the talented master chef - Yvan, whom we highly recommend. We can expect to visit William, his staff and this little piece of 'paradise' again in the future.

We had a great time all together here at PROVENCE PARADISE last week, didn't we, Claire and Jack? Glad to see that you so much enjoyed the cooking class, which is a new activity for us here and the idea seems to have caught on like "wild fire."
This week and next, we are trying out a couple of additional "partnerships" with local specialists--- yoga and massages, catered meals in the evening (set-up, table service and clean-up included!)
Here is a link which you might find fun to reveiw... and which will whet your appetites for quick return to our "hamlet."

Left on 04/28/2012 for a stay in June 2011
The way that William treats each and every guest at Provence Paradise is as if we have become extended family members! He is extremely hospitable, "discreetly present,' more than generous with his time, information, assistance as needed, gracious and kind. The croissants delivered daily were so greatly appreciated! No other place we have ever stayed at in France provides such thoughtful gestures. From the 'welcome dinner,' so we didn't have to run to the grocery when we arrived and were exhausted, to the fully stocked refrigerator and pantry. William hs thought of it all, and made our stay fabulous- for the second year in a row! We will be back!!!
The house was decorated as our home is- Oriental carpets, objets d'art throughout, comfortable and beautiful. There were multiple sets of dishes, glasses and flatware so we didn't have to wash dishes after every single meal or even snack that we ate at home (like we have had to do in St. Paul-de-Vence and Vence).
The location is fantastic! There were so many fabulous day trips to take from here, it was extremely convenient to this part of southern France.
We love everything about Le Moulin Vieil, and there are no negatives that I can possibly think of. We wish that every home rental in France was as lushly decorated and supplied as William's place! Once you rent here- you will really find it difficult for any other rental to even try to come close to measuring up to it! -

Left on 04/25/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Upon our arrival (late because of train delay), William escorted us to "Le Moulin Vieil" where we given a tour of our accommodation and discussed the amenities and house rules. Dinner and wine were waiting in the refrigerator. William brought pastries daily and we discussed places to visit in Provence. William is an excellent communicator. He provided directions, suggested sites to visit, and made meal reservations for us in selected villages. William even arranged a provencale cooking class with a local chef. Le Moulin Vieil and the Mistral Guest Suite was the prefect selection for the six of us. We cooked when we wanted, sat by the large fireplace with blazing fire at night, recounting our wonderful day, planning our next adventure. All rooms were spacious, decorated in Provence style, and very comfortable. St Remy de Provence is the ideal location for visiting the entire Provence region. We found easy access to historic and mountain villages, Avignon, Arles, Aix-en-Provence, the Camaraque, Cassis by the sea, and Cote du Rhone vineyards. The only adjustment I had to make was to the European beds. They are harder than what I am use to. However, within a few days, I adjusted and slept well. We highly recommend Provence Paradise as the place to stay when in Provence.

Lynn and Bill, thanks for your comments. I think we had just as much fun "living vicariously" with you at the beginning and at the end of each day. You seemed to have lots of energy and great enthusiasm for discovery. For us, that is music to our ears! We are so happy to see great folks enjoy the "nooks and crannies" of the Provence that we have come to know and love.
As I told you, only hours after you left, we began putting in place the sliding glass panels on the terrace area, which give another 45 m2/450 ft2 of under-roof living space to Le Moulin. Fantastique!!!! In the summer, everything can be open to let the fresh air breeze through and in the winter, a pot-belly stove will heat the area. Should be very popular! You need to come back to see "your house" with these improvements!
We said several times to all six of you: Come again and/or send us other nice folks just like YOU!
And, Want to develop your friends' interest/enthusiasm for a future stay in our "hamlet"? Please check this out: http://theprovencepost.blogspot.fr/2012/03/provence-paradise.html -

Prvence Paradise was beyond our expectations---and our expectations were high. Le Moulin was spacious, beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. We particularly liked the lovely patio where we spent every evening enjoying the wine, weather(we are from rainy Oregon), sounds of the moulin and the colorful flowers surrounding the area. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer.
We loved the fact that the village was a 15 min walk away and we hiked there at least once a day. Having a car, we visited an historical or cultural site (all within easy driving)every day.
Bill and the rest of the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. No one who stays here will want for anything, believe me.
The only thing that made us unhappy was that we had to leave a day early due to a mix-up in train tickets.Response from William at PROVENCE PARADISE - 04/17/2012

Thanks for your visit to our PROVENCE PARADISE "hamlet." You certainly can attest to the fact that our weather in March is very, very conducive to having a quality visit to Provence... both day and night. And, everything that Provence has to offer, without the crowds and heat later on in the season. Since you come rather often to Europe, we certainly hope to see you again in front of that big fireplace in Le Moulin! There are "still places to go and people to see...."

Chicago, IllinoisWe found that St. Remy is a hidden gem as a place to experience
Left on 03/19/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Very much due to the hospitality and attention to detail provided by William Moore, we felt like we were in a second home, while sensing the history of this beautiful 17th century "mas". Bill has found a way to keep the atmosphere of the old house, complete with beautiful furnishings and other features, while providing all of the modern amenities that made our stay so very comfortable and pleasant. We had a huge bedroom and living area, complete with fireplace and spacious bathroom. I can't say enough about these accommodations. Also, Bill is the perfect host and knew just how to add those extra touches, including making this feel like a honeymoon to us, which it was.
St. Remy seems to me to be just the perfect size town - small enough to be easily navigated, yet large enough to hold our interest for the week, both in sights, shops and restaurants. Nearby are the Roman ruins of Glanum, historical sites of Van Gogh paintings during his stay, and the town of Les Baux.
We were able to easily enjoy day trips to many of the areas medieval towns and natural sites of beauty. Some of our favorites were:
L'Isle-Sur-La-Sorgue - Besides being a very quaint town, they have a fantastic market on Sundays.
Fontaine de la Vaucluse - A beautiful little town with an old paper mill and nature walk.
Roussillon - an amazing area with hills of ochre. You really have to see it to experience its beauty.
Senanque - a beautiful abbey set in a field of lavendar
Uzes - a very pretty little town where we had lunch, at Bill's suggestion!
Chateauneuf-du-Pape - another lovely town with fantastic wine tasting opportunities.
Lourmarin - Another town with a nice market on Friday
I would have to say that I think Provence Paradise is an excellent choice for couples, families, individuals, or anyone who appreciates beauty, history, food, lovely weather, comfort, and a true home away from home that is worry-free. We totally loved it.

Sue and Bob, we were honored that you chose our PROVENCE PARADISE "hamlet" for your honeymoon! I think your choice of "early Spring" as a time to visit was also a wise one, because the things you wanted to do and see were readily available ...no crowds, no waiting in line.
So, now you know where we are... remember what we said on the morning of your departure--- "Come again and/or send us other great folks just like you!" You probably know a lot of high school teachers who could use some R+R à la provençale. We will take good care of them!

The pool was nice, the appliances worked, the decorations were interesting. All a justification to return but not a reason.
We will return because Provence Paradise fosters a amazing sense of community. William and his staff exceed any and all expectations.
The lasagna, upon arrival was expected. The bottles of rose were not. Help with restaurants and tours was expected. The detailed follow up to be sure it went well was not. Snacks delivered on a rainy housebound day were a total surprise.
Upon departure my wife made sure we left more wine than we had found. She wanted the next guest to be as pleasantly surprised as we were.
Other guests felt the same. Gumbo pots, nonperishable foods, toys and a flower vase were all purchased to be left behind. Not for William but for some unknown next guest.
There was no need, no request, and no coordination. Just a common sense that such hospitality should remain an unbroken chain.
We are not strangers to five star hotels. None of them engenders that kind of response. None. If you want that feeling you will have to go to Provence Paradise to get it. We will.

It is hard to find a starting place for the review of Paradise Provence and the Le Moulin cottage and our host, William Moore. Having traveled all over the world for close to 40 years (work and vacations), I feel I can honestly and objectively gauge the level of hospitality at a hotel/B&B;/cottage/etc.
William Moore should teach others how to host guests! This gentleman just "gets it"! His staff is the friendliest I have ever encountered and the furnishing of his cottages is second to none. We felt as though we were in a home that was warm and "comfy". There was nothing we wanted for!! William's suggestions as to where to go, where to eat, where to park were right on! He is willing to go above and byond to help with any needs.
Our cottage, Le Moulin, couldn't have been better situated. It was perefctly clean, furnished and situtaed reference St. Remy. I only wish all hosts were as gracious as William. One can not go wrong staying here. Thanks William from Randy, Kathy and Ryan -

Provence Paradise was an absolutely amazing experience. We were here for a wedding and rented out all the villas. I have traveled a lot and have never received the kind of service I did here from William. You are like one of the family when you stay here. (He was nicknamed the Fairy Godfather of the wedding) He is a fount of knowledge about the town and surrounding areas, never once giving a suggestion that turned out to be less than superb. Another thing that I also really appreciated was that the kitchen was stocked with basic staples, enabling us to cook up a storm. I would recommend, nay insist (and have already done so) to anyone traveling in the St Remy area to stay here.

We love everything about Le Moulin Vieil,l and there are no negatives that I can possibly think of. We wish that every home rental in France was as lushly decorated and supplied as William's place! Once you rent here- you will really find it difficult for any other rental to even try to come close to measuring up to it! -

ColoradoOur 3rd Visit to Paradise
Left on 06/02/2011 for a stay in May 2011
It's our 3rd visit to Provence Paradise! As always, we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the luxurious accommodations. From the privacy of your own lodging to the beautiful and serene pool, there is no shortage of personal attention by William and his staff.
It's so nice to have a familiar face and setting to welcome us each time we visit. The happy times and memories that we take away from here warm our hearts between our visits.
And from the morning croissants on your door to fresh hot pizza on the plaza to a gourmet meal at Reine Jeanne, these memories will stay with us until we return.
Kudo's to William for creating such a beautiful setting. On Christmas morning in Colorado, chocolate croissants greet us as a reminder of our mornings in St. Remy...
