La Roc' Bruyère is an independent two-storey stone house built in the Provencal style and set in a 1900 sq meter garden planted with olive, cherry, apricot trees, lavender and luxuriant pink laurel bushes. The 10x4.5 metre pool has a jet-stream for serious swimmers, sunbeds at the poolside for sunbathers, and a pool house with a shower and toilet. It is also protected from the mistral winds by a low wall. The terrace at the back of the house is shaded with foliage and has outdoor tables and a barbecue, making it ideal for dinner out by the pool. The authentic village of Saint Saturnin les Apt, in the heart of the Parc Naturel Regional du Luberon, is nestled along the base of a long, low cliff, with two 17th century windmills and the ruins of a medieval château keeping watch. Walking through the central streets, you'll discover beautiful old houses adorned with sculptured porches and intricately decorated doors and window frames. Excellent pastries and breads are available at the local patisserie, and other provisions can be picked up at the grocery stores. There are several restaurants, cafes, and bars in the village. A visit to the open market is essential, where local produce, cheeses, meats, and flowers are available. There is a lovely lake, nearby, and wonderful walks or cycling promenades in the surrounding hills. The whole area abounds with charming villages like Gordes (one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France), Roussillon, Lacoste, Bonnieux, etc, all between 30 minutes to 1 hour drive from La Roc' Bruyere. It's a good idea to rent a car, and the property offers ample parking space.

This is a lovely house set in a beautiful region. St Saturnin is a ten minute walk from the house and there are many walks to enjoy.

We have enjoyed three wonderful holidays at this lovey villa. The owners are always prompt when replying to any enquiries and make the booking experience simple and straightforward. On arrival someone is always on hand to meet you and make sure you know where everything is and how things work. The villa is extremely well aapointed -a real home from home. The bedding is very good quality and the villa is spotlessly clean. The location is perfect, within walking distance of a lovely village, yet far enough away for peace and privacy. The village has several good restuarants, bakeries, a pharmacy and a local shop. We cannot find anything to dislike. We just always look foward to our next visit.
