The Taylor Cabin at Salida Cabin Rentals is a comfortable one bedroom cabin on the shore of a spectacular private high mountain lake. Our beautiful hide-away that has been our family's most favorite place in the world, will now be shared. A sacred and intimate place which has been a very private world, can now be enjoyed by YOU!

The Upper Arkansas Valley is one of the most splendidly beautiful areas in Colorado. Surrounded by fourteen thousand foot peaks, and with year round mild temperatures, it's no wonder it's called the "Headwaters of Adventure". This is Colorado at its best! Hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, kayaking, skiing, golfing, climbing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, rock hunting, you name it, if it's an outdoor activity you can enjoy it here.
With winter, some of the best skiing in the country is all within driving distance. Monarch Mountain and Snowboard Area is just 10 miles from the cabins. Enjoy some of the best powder in the state, without the long lines.
Boasting easy accessibility, public lands abound in the Salida area. Only18% of Chaffee County is privately owned. The rest is yours to enjoy and experience. The San Isabel National Forest is comprised of 1,109,782 acres with over 700 miles of trails, many of which are motorized accessible so bring your four-wheelers or rent them in Salida.
The Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area stretches for 148 miles along one of the West's premier recreation rivers, the Arkansas River. From its northern boundary below the fabled mining town of Leadville to the Pueblo Reservoir, the area is a recreation paradise. The Arkansas River is famous for its white water as well as its gold medal fishing stretches.
Golfers will love the 2 beautiful golf courses in the valley. Buena Vista and Salida each have very good nine hole courses, both with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Salida is a renowned mountain biker's paradise. Bike trails abound including the famous Crest Trail. This 32 mile single track trail takes you along the Continental Divide topping out at around 11,960 feet before descending 6,000 feet to the trails end. This trail offers some of the most spectacular views Colorado has to offer.

CHECK IN—CHECK OUT: Check in is 3:00 P.M. or after on your arrival date. Check out is by 11:00 A.M. on your departure date. Advance notice for early arrivals or late departures will be appreciated, unless you have an unforeseeable or unexpected occurrence.
BOOKING YOUR RESERVATION: A deposit of 40% is required at the time of booking. Final payment is due thirty (30) days prior to your arrival, sixty (60) days prior for holiday week reservations. Observed holidays: New Year's Holiday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday
If booking a reservation within thirty (30) days of your arrival, the full amount is due at the time of booking.
CANCELLATION POLICY: With the exception of holidays, cancellations made thirty (30) days prior to arrival receive a refund, less $100 handling fee. Cancellations made within a shorter time, all monies are forfeited unless your exact dates are re-booked. Holiday cancellations made sixty (60) days prior to arrival receive a refund, less $100 handling fee. Holiday cancellations made within a shorter time, all monies are forfeited unless your exact dates are rebooked. The amount recovered from re-bookings will be refunded, less a $100 handling fee.
Late arrivals, early departures, or no shows do not qualify for refunds.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: We obtain credit card information for the security deposit, which will be authorized seven (7) days prior to your arrival, and the funds must be available seven (7) days after your departure.

The cabins are new, super clean on a breath taking property. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming, they definitely made our stay unforgettable. My wife and I stayed there with 3 other couples for 4 days and we did not want to leave. There is so much to see and do in the sourronding areas! The cabins are located in a quiet, private, amazing setting and just the location is worth the trip!!! We highly recommend it!!

My husband and our two boys (ages 11 and 9) spent 3 wonderful nights at the Taylor Cabin in Salida. The cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and then some. The setting is amazing with the tranquil lake view. The boys went fishing every chance they had. We found the cabin to be very centrally located to Salida, Monarch and Buena Vista. It made sightseeing very easy. We also enjoyed some lovely hikes. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer.

My spouse and my 3 boys (ages 8, 10, 13) stayed at the Taylor Cabin for four nights and it was incredible. There was no detail overlooked. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and more! The views of the mountains were spectacular. We rented atvs for 3 days and definitely got our money's worth. We atvd right out the front door and up Taylor mountain. Fishing in the lake was great. The kids enjoyed renting the paddleboat and fishing from that. It was also just a short drive to downtown Salida. We enjoyed a few good restaurants (The Patio Pancake is a must for breakfast, try the breakfast burrito!) We will definitely be back!!

Taylor Cabin was perfect. It had all our family needed for a wonderful get-away. It was very clean and comfortable. High quality linens and furnishings included. Location was stunning...private surrounded by all the beauty Colorado has to offer. Owners were welcoming and helpful. Was a perfect place to come back to after a long day of skiing. Plan on returning this July to enjoy the summer season.
