Cabin A (Grizzle Adams) was completed in June of 2012 for you and your family. Enjoy fanastic views of the Sawatch Range mtns. from a large wrap around deck over looking the South Arkansas river bottom. Seclusion is no problem ,cabin is located on a 312 acre working cattle ranch. Cabin A is one of 2 cabins built for a relaxing get-away. A small grove of trees seperate the 2 cabins. There is a mile of South Arkansas River frontage and a 1 acre trout pond for you fishing enjoyment. The ranch borders goverment land ( BLM and USFS) and is availiable for hiking and exploring. Location: Salida, South Central, Colorado, USA (1 mile west of Poncha Springs on hwy 50. The cabin sets in the middle of the Sawatch Mountain Range with a panoramic view of most of the peaks. Ranch is centerally located for the activities ( fishing, white water rafting,skiing both alpine and cross country, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, mtn biking, dirt biking, hiking ) your family would enjoy. It is near ghost towns the remiants of gold and silver rush. Leadville is a 1 hr. drive away. National Sand Dunes are a 45 min. drive away. Shopping in Salida is 15 min. away.

My husband and I stayed here for about a week. We've done a lot of traveling, and of all the places we've stayed, this is one of our top two favorite. You couldn't imagine a more amazing cabin. Most of the furniture and embelishments are hand made by crafters and fit the rugged outdoor theme perfectly. All the amenities such as the bathrooms, kitchen, living rooms with satellite tv, dvd players, etc. were nicer than any four star establishments we've stayed. That's one reason why I rate the cabin five stars. The other reason is the suroundings. You drive down a long gravel driveway, that is part of a working ranch, which I find to be an exciting bonus. The people there, couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The cabin itself is located on a more private area of the property. Every morning my husband and I would sit out on the porch with our coffee and look over the fields and the mountains beyond. A small brook flowed at the base of the cabin. and rarely have we had such moments of peace and relaxation. This is definitely a great place for sportsmaen as well as for those just wanting to get away to a more rural setting. My husband fished several times in the local rivers. However, elk could also be seen most days in the fields and we even managed to see a couple of foxes and a black bear during our stay. I definitely would recommend Post Office Ranch Cabins for anyone who wants to get far away from the city and spend some time in natur but would also like a luxurious stay.

This cabin is so wonderful. It has a huge wrap around porch with outstanding views of the mountains and lush pasture. The cabin is decorated so beautifully with a lot of attention to detail. We had so much fun in the area as well...hiking, rafting, fishing...there is something for everyone. My family and I plan to go back!!!
