We stayed in the Sunset Ensuite room at Pirate's Hideaway for 5 nights. Candy Herwin, the owner, made sure that the accommodations met our needs - she stocked the fridge at our request, offered us her English tea, provided fresh towels, etc. Candy rents golf carts and we highly recommend getting a golf cart to get around the island. We also recommend letting Candy do some shopping for you before you arrive. The stores have limited hours and supplies.
We found Salt Cay to be a magical place. Candy is a great resource for getting the most out of your stay. -

We had a family reunion of sorts over the Christmas holiday and stayed in the private house (Blackbeard's Quarters) on the back of the property. Candy and her mom were both amazing and made sure that everything we needed for a birthday celebration were in order including a gigantic cake! We were a party of 4 adults and 3 kids and loved having the house to ourselves and the kitchen for cooking. We did take advantage of trying the restaurants, but found it easier with our little ones at a home setting. Also, there is a great pool that we used daily. Candy is charming and really makes this place shine.

What a great vacation we just came back from--four days in a cottage by the sea in Salt Cay. The four bedroom cottage was well-equipped and very reasonable, but the outstanding part of the trip was the hospitality of Candy Herwin, the inimitable owner. Simply world-class service, from charter reservations to restaurant recommendations. Five stars.

We stayed in the 4 BR separate cottage; it was private, well equipped, uniquely decorated and fully enjoyable. More important was the wonderful reception we received from Candy Herwin. My family has roots in the Turks and Caicos and Candy went out of her way for 3 days to show us everything in Salt Cay and to introduce us to people who knew our family. she took us places which few vacationers get to see. Salt Cay is a wonderful place to visit and Candy has done much to make it that way.
