Madison, WIGreat Condo for Skiers!
Left on 12/18/2012 for a stay in December 2012
Just finished a 5 night stay at this condo. It was incredibly well situated just 15-20 minutes from alta and Snowbird and slightly longer to Solitude. Overall a great location.
The condo was wonderfully appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The furniture was in great condition, the kitchen was well stocked.
The bonus was a 2 car garage and of course, the hot tub! It was a fantastic way to end a great day of skiing.
I rent vacation homes often. The ease and professionalism of the staff of Utah Vacation Rentals was top notch. We'll definitely be back and we'll rent this unit again if it's available. -

Left on 02/11/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We recenrly stayed at this Canyon Racquet Club property. It worked out wonderfully for our smaller ski group. The loft sleeping area is a bit tight for 2 people, the rest of the bedrooms are very nicely sized. The master bathroom is split into bathroom / shower and a separate wash room - that was a nice surprise that we didn't see in the pictures.
Location of the Canyon Racquet Club was known to us from previoius trips - very close to the ski hills. The apartment was very nicely appointed, with some spices and cleaning supplies in the kitchen.
We enjoyed our stay tremendously, and thoroughly recommend it to anybody! -

Third year we have stayed in this property. It is centrally located, a great price, and very quiet. Had a minor problem with the hot tub and the WiFi that management resolved within half a day.

Saratoga SpringsGreat Stay, will definitely choose this unit when coming back!
Left on 01/31/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Clean & spacious, we had a wonderful stay.
Everything was perfect with a few minor exceptions:
- Could have used a large cooking pot for stew, pasta, etc.
-The hot tub broke mid-stay, the rental agency was extremely quick and kind in fixing it, but we really could have used it the last few nights after all that skiing! But it's completely understandable, these things happen.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely condo, which was spacious and beautifully appointed. The location was great. The rooms were spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. Finding the extras, such as detergent, soaps, and shampoos, already was a bonus.

We had a great vacation. The Condo is nice and has everything that you need. The location is perfect for access to Big or Little Cottonwood Canyons.
Only complaint was that it was small for 5 -- it worked but was tight. And there are not many windows so you really feel closed in. But, for the price we paid we got a nice condo at a great location.

The location of the unit was perfect for skiing. The layout was a little odd, but overall the place is comfortable and worked well for me and my teenage son and a friend. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Two thumbs up.

Left on 04/30/2010 for a stay in April 2010
My colleges and I were in town for a neuroscience convention up at snowbird, but with a little research we found this condo. For less than the price of the hotel at the convention center, we got the condo and a rental car! (And all five of us would have been jammed into two hotel rooms)
The condo was also simply luxurious. You can believe the pictures! It’s very nice. We were comfortable, warm, and generally very happy.
The service we received was just as good. Setting up the reservation was smooth and painless, everything was exactly as it was supposed to be on our arrival, and the customer service on the phone and via e-mail was exceptional.
I would do business again with these folks in a split second.

Left on 03/31/2010 for a stay in March 2010
Canyon Racquet Club J-2 is a very nice unit with a great location at the entrance to the big cottonwood canyon. Short drive to Solitude, Alta, or Snowbird. Master bedroom is great, with plenty of room. Second bedroom has 2 twin beds which are great for kids. The loft is usable as a 3rd bedroom if privacy is not an issue. The hot tub is nice, and everything is well maintained. The interior was recently repainted an unfortunate green color (the web photos have not been updated)and the kitchen is in need of a little updating, but is very well equipped with everything you could want during your stay. All in all, a great place to stay with an awesome location.

CAInconvinient place to stay
Left on 03/18/2010 for a stay in March 2010
Internet presentation of this property is misleading:
1. In fact this is 4 level property, actually 5 including garage.
2. Beds have some plastic mattress, creating very uncomfortable feeling.
2. One of the upper level rooms (with two beds)has no chest, no mirror. There is no room for small things to store. Windows in this room can't be opened, because of obstacle create by beds.
3. No hair dryer. we have received one after a long and nasty discussion with UVH agent.
4. Inconvenient location of rest rooms. One is located on the upper level, serving two bedrooms, and one - at the entrance, on the third level, supposedly serving loft and guests.
Response from Utah Vacation Homes - 03/18/2010
Manager
I apologize this guest felt the presentation of this property was misleading. Our intent is to accurately present our properties so that guests have an enjoyable stay. As our other reviews show Canyon Racquet Club J2 is a great place and offers a convenient location, great amenities, and is clean and comfortable. For groups where stairs are an issue, this isn't a great choice. There is a 1/2 flight of stairs from the floor with the living room/kitchen to the 1st bathroom, and 1/2 flight of stairs from that to the loft, and 1/2 flight of stairs from the loft to the 2 bedrooms and 2nd bathroom. For our other guests where stairs aren't an issue this layout has worked well.
Currently hair dryers aren't a required item for our homes. This may be something we change in the future. It's unfortunate this guest felt our explanation of this was a nasty discussion. -

Great Condo. Perfect location for access to Alta/Snowbird,
Brighton/Solitude, the Airport and stores. You'll need a vehicle.
Condo management was great. We had trouble figuring out the hot tub.
They sent someone over during the day AND FOLLOWED UP WITH US BY PHONE
(A+)!!! Lots of dishes and cookware. Clean and modern. Two full baths
with lots of hot water. DVD player.
I recommend using the Super Pass.
Do your souvenir shopping on the mountains, not much in town. Make a
left out of the condo and a left at Ft Union Blvd. There's a ski shop
right around the corner. There's also Canyon Sports(discount lift
tickets), a liquor store and groceries (Dave?s) a few miles down FT
Union.
Mountain ratings (in my opinion)
Brighton -Best all around
mnt. Something for everyone.
Alta - Good all around mnt, known for
hardcore off trail traverse. You?ll find a lot of locals there after a
fresh snow
Snowbird - Very difficult. Not recommend for beginners,
limited intermediate.
Solitude. OK, not a lot of variety. Mixed
opinions on this one but worth checking out.
Don't think twice on
this condo. We loved it.

Mike,
Thanks for your review and input on ski resorts. As a local I couldn't have described them better. My only addition is that while there isn't a lot of variety at Solitude it doesn't get as crowded as some of the others. So I think it's worth checking out.
I believe the grocery store you are referring to is Dan's. There is also a Smith's a little closer on Bengal Blvd.
Thanks!
