Great location for access to Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons

Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in March 2012

The pros- the location is ideal for a ski vacation if you want to be able to chose which resort you want to ski each day. Condo is in a quiet neighborhood with close access to several good restaurants, good groceries and The Lift House for your discounted lift tickets.
The cons - the condo is a bit tired, furniture needs to be cleaned, some windows cannot be opened, mini-blind wands broken off. The coffee maker didn't work but there was an extra machine without a carafe so we were able to hobble things together to sort-of make coffee each morning. Probably my biggest complaint was that the beds had cheap, old mattresses that squealed and complained every time either my husband or I moved - a good night's sleep evaded me the first two nights of our visit.

      Big house, dirty house

Left on 01/31/2012 for a stay in January 2012

The Upside: initial rental procedure was easy and pain free. Directions and access to the house were giving in a timely manner making just showing up to the house and getting in late at night easy.
The Downside: The house overall was okay, however the cleanliness of the house was less than stellar. Dirty cups and glasses, broken countertop peeling away, coffee maker that leaks all over, gross dirty towels left in the washing machine, some sort of nasty splatter stain and mildew on the ceiling of the upstairs bathrooms. Also the hot water never really got warm so it was cold showers for everyone.

      UPDATE February 3, 2012:
We found a small crack in the coffee pot, which caused coffee to leak all over, this has been replaced with a new one. This home has two 40 gallon water heaters, one of which was purchased summer of 2011. We were unable to replicate a problem of no hot water, and previous guests haven't reported the issue either. If you find a problem with hot water or anything else please call and we will work to resolve the issue during your stay.

      February 2, 2012:
We apologize the cleanliness of King's Hill #2 didn't meet this guests expectations. We believe staying in clean and comfortable lodging makes all the difference in a vacation and strive to meet all or our guests expectations for cleanliness. It is obvious this didn't happen this time. We appreciate the feedback and the opportunity it gives us to review and improve Utah Vacation Homes and specific properties to make future stays more enjoyable. We will inspect the water heater and coffee maker to insure they work properly. Please know we are available to fix issues and appreciate the opportunity to do so while a guest is here.

More than enough of all necessities!

Left on 04/07/2011 for a stay in March 2011

We were informed that the house was ready even before we boarded our flight from home. We were only a party of 6 and a toddler so we had more than enough room. It was much nicer than the pictures on line. Those pics need to be changed! - the tv was flat screen and there was wireless internet. Love the breakfast table/area + dinning area - would come in very handy for larger parties. More than enough towels, kitchen equipment, dishes, extra beddings... This vacation home was definitely better than the one I visited in Florida because these people provided all we needed so all we had to buy was our food. Very good value for money too! Only issue was that there was no broom and iron provided. Need those! However as soon as we called they provided a vacuum cleaner (still need a broom though) and iron - impressive service!

all loved the hot tub, but where were the steps? Very hard to c

Left on 03/03/2010 for a stay in February 2010

We enjoyed the stay. On the great idea side:
      dishwasher soap provided,
      laundry soap provided,
      trash bags provided
These may seem like little things to provide, but it said to me that you were courteous in having these products there. It was nice to have these things because they are necessary and are expensive to buy in smaller amounts.

As a woman, I loved the cute way of folding the towels. Also, liked that there were plenty of towels.

Liked having plenty of dining room chairs. We took chairs from smaller area and added to larger table so we could all eat together. Definitely a plus, and one of the reasons we discarded other condos! Also liked that the area that we gathered in (dining, TV) was large and open to people working in the kitchen. Liked that we could pass food, etc over the kitchen counter and not have to walk around carrying everything. I.E. the open area to the table was nice.

      Problems:
Downstairs shower leaked profusely. Had to sop up water almost every shower. Any ideas why?

Oven was huge fire risk because the sides of the oven and even the silverware door beside the oven were too hot to touch. Looked like some insulating shield was missing.

You could REALLY use some Corningware type dishes for use in the microwave. I didn't find any dish that I thought would be microwave safe so heating up things like spaghetti sauce was hard.

Fireplace great idea, but would be nice to have a litte kindling, so we didn't have a fire.

Downstairs TV wouldn't come on. Was the battery dead?

      Convenient, spacious, good value

Left on 02/17/2010 for a stay in February 2010

Very good location in between Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Good sized rooms. Easy check in procedure. Amenities as advertised. Nice hot tub. Wifi functioned well. Convenient to restaurants, ski shops, grocery stores. Quiet neighborhood. Management responded quickly to a couple of requests.

Addition of HDTV would be a nice upgrade.

      Great Value

Left on 02/10/2009 for a stay in January 2009

The house is very large and was very accomodating to all 8 in our party. The location of the house was excellent, and was very close to the ski bus stop, although it really is more than just a block and a half away, more like a 10 minute walk or so. The kitchen could use some updating, but all in all the place was well worth the price we paid for it.
