Situated on a rocky knoll, our cottage welcomes you with its ever changing dancing light. Watch the sunset as you sit on our secluded south - facing deck. Enjoy the warmth and comforts of our wood stove in the open plan living room as you listen to the excellent acoustics from the CD sound system. The peace and seclusion of our cottage is truly a hidden jewel for honeymooners.

There is a delicious self-catered breakfast provided for you in the kitchen. This consists of mostly organic products including Tangachee's famous home-made jams and granola, fresh farm eggs and bread, teas & coffee etc. We also have exceptionally good drinking wa...ter, straight out of the tap!

With one queen- sized bed and one sofa bed, the cottage sleeps from two to four people. There is a beautiful bathroom with deep soaker tub and shower. A washer and dryer is provided for your convenience and there is a spacious loft area where you may go to find peace, meditate, practice yoga or simply relax. If you wish, you may request tuition in yoga and/or meditation from your host Tangachee, who is a qualified yoga teacher with over 30 years' experience. Enjoy a variety of flowers,vegetables, herbs and berries, wander through the fruit orchard or find the opportunity for quiet contemplation by the pond with its water lilies and dragonflies.

Explore the six acres of forested trails or ask your host Henri who will accompany you on longer guided hikes to Ruckle Park.

Other outdoor activities on the island include kayaking, sailing, cycling, horseback riding and swimming in our lakes and ocean.

Salt Spring Island...

Salt Spring Island is the "jewel of the southern Gulf Islands", situated in the Georgia Strait on the south west coast of Canada between Vancouver Island to the west and Vancouver and mainland British Columbia to the east. The west coast of British Columbia is generally known for its mild temperate climate. Due to its geographical location, highest year round temperatures in Canada are recorded on Salt Spring Island.

The mild weather and the overall relaxed and easy-going atmosphere have helped to draw the very special people who have created the interesting community that is Salt Spring today. The island is home to many world renowned, talented artists, craftspersons, actors, writers and musicians. A recent article in the National Geographic travel magazine named Salt Spring as "Canada's Retreat". The serenity and magic of this unique place are appreciated by all visitors to the island.
