This beautiful 2 bedroom, 600+ square foot cottage was inspired by a classic coastal design. It is situated on 12.5 acres of natural wilderness and offers stunning views of sunsets and Mount Maxwell. The cottage is privately located away from the main house with lots of room to roam around and explore the nearby trails, meadows and birch groves. We are located only 15 minutes drive to Ganges Village and 10 minutes away from Fulford Village and its ferry to Vancouver Island. There are many trails within walking distance and it only a short drive to many swimmable lakes nearby as well as to Ruckles park. You will need a car to get around the island as there is a lot to visit here. The cottage has parking for two vehicles.

This is a high quality well built home in a very quiet spot. what makes it great is that everything is there, like coffee and ice cubes are already in the freezer upon arrival. nice touch. At the same time there isn't anything there that should not be. no clutter, just comfort. The result is that it is very easy to feel at home here. The view is good, you can see Mt Maxwel but there is no sea view like many houses on the island. it is quick to get to the main town of Ganges for shopping, however there is nothing in walking distance and the climb to the hill is too steep to cycle (unless you are Bradley Wiggins) so any outings were by car.

We really enjoyed our stay in this little cottage on Salt Spring. The cottage is comfortable and immaculately maintained. We were very impressed by the cleanliness and the amenities offered (although somewhat basic and rustic for the price). The cottage is very secluded, which is awesome for rest & relaxation, but also means driving at least 10 to 15 minutes to access any attractions on the island. The property is very private with lots of deer, birds, and rabbits, which add to the charm. Although we found our stay to be overall comfortable and enjoyable, some simple upgrades would improve the value of this accommodation. The furniture is dates,the old and tiny tv made watching movies difficult, the bed in the main bedroom has a very soft mattress, which we found uncomfortable, and there are no curtains on any windows> So, for light sleepers, this means rising with the sun.

This cottage is my favorite place to visit. It is located on Salt Spring Islan and is so private and peaceful. The scenery is so beautiful! There is such a peace when you are sitting outside and watching deer feed on the property and listening to the birds. The cottage is beautiful and so well kept. It has a feeling of home and has everything that you need in it. A perfect place for couples and families. I honestly would rate it beyond excellant. The owners are wonderful and are very respectful or your privacy. This is my favorite place beyond anywhere I have travelled. I guarantee if you go once you will go back again and again. Truly beautiful.

The cottage is beautiful and fully stocked with everything you need for an amazing stay on Salt Spring Island. We biked to the island and climbed those massive hills to the top where the cottage is. It was a speedy ride down hill to Ganges and later back to the Fulford Ferry Terminal. Very quiet and private forested property with a beautiful view of Mount Maxwell. Loved the patio and hot tub!
