Perched on a hillside with views overlooking the Ganges Harbour, this extremely private, spacious and cozy executive 4 bdrm home has recently been re-modeled featuring new luxury beds and linens. This executive home is 2 miles from the heart of downtown Ganges. The stunning mountain and ocean views from every room allow one to relax and unwind in this quiet picturesque home away from home. It contains all the modern conveniences and has plenty of space for relaxing and a kitchen that gets rave reviews from all our "foodie" guests. Lots of outdoor lounge space with two patios to allow you to stay out of the hot sun. A carport and driveway allows parking for four cars. A quiet, secluded home - you can barely see the neighbours. The water is pristine and very tasty and we have recently replaced the septic tank system for sound ecological peace at mind.
This is a family estate home owned by four siblings living in four separate areas in the West. Our mother, Allison, custom designed and our father, Mel, built this home for their retirement dream. They spent 30 years together enjoying it. Mom passed away in 2004 and Dad in 2012. The siblings decided to keep it as a relaxing place of refuge for them and their families. In the meantime, we thought that seeing that Mel & Allison were so hospitable, we would open the home to others. As you can see from the booking calendar, this has turned into a very busy place where families from all over Canada are gathering for family and friend re-unions. We have a long-term resident tenant (Paul - a single middle-aged man) living downstairs in his own self-contained (private access) suite. He has been of great help to our guests when and if needed but respects your privacy so you would not need to be concerned. We want you to enjoy a home-away-from home experience. Salt spring island is a relaxed and gentle place and allison Harbourvew really helps you to enjoy it even when you are not out and about.
Spacious and personal, with fully fitted kitchen , we really enjoyed our stay and felt at home.
One bathroom on the ground floor literally uts out like you are floating off the mountain and the other one is off an upstairs bedroom so you need to know your felow guests well!

I stayed at allison Harbourview House in September with a good friend. We so enjoyed the views, the spaciousness, the wonderful beds and fine linens, the marvelous old claw foot bathtub, the fireplace and comfy living room, and the big, well-equipped kitchen where we hosted several dinners with island friends during our stay. We hiked to town and back which was splendid exercise up that dandy hill.
