Our family loved the outer banks, the salvo area and staying at yellow fin!!! First, the location is incredible. You are basically paying for a semi-ocean front house, but the truth is... Yellow Fin is just steps away from the dunes/ocean. This house had everything: extremely pet friendly (we brought two dogs), huge bedrooms and bathrooms, an elevator, pool table, deck with bar, grill and private pool. There are balconies that wrap around the house, so you can sit and face the ocean (night or day).
The Salvo area was perfect for us as well...we wanted a secluded beach vacation. It is not that touristy or crowded. But, you are still within a short driving or walking distance to restaurants and a small grocery store. We went during 4th of July and we still felt like we had the secluded beach adventure we were looking for. We were able to walk to the beach and watch the fireworks at night. The beaches are clean, vast and picturesque. The town has plenty to do, but really if you are there to relax...then this is the spot for you.
We absolutely loved it! We do want to go back! I highly recommend this house and location!
