Bed & Breakfast 'Baobab Belge' is situated between the sparkling seaside station Saly and the authentic fishermen's village Mbour. At only 50m there is a white sand beach surrounded by palmtrees, known as 'The Petite Côte' a beautiful bay of The Atlantic Ocean. In a tropical garden Baobab Belge offers you at one side 3 charming rooms, around a solar terrace, with a fully equiped open kitchen and dining room aside.On the other side of the garden an independent studio with his own kitchen and private terrace, view on the bubbling yacuzzi beneath the palmtrees.All 4 charming rooms have Wifi and airconditioning.

At the 'Petite Côte' a beautiful white sand bay from the Atlantic Ocean, you'll find Saly Niakh Niakhal, a downtown quarter from the vivid seaside town Saly.
On the beach you can go horseriding, fishing, rent a jetski, a catamaran or just relax under the palmtrees, cocktail in the hand ;-)
At only 20 km you can go on safari at the 'Reserva de Bandia', or go into the jungle and visit typical hut villages.
Taxis are very cheap, or you could travel by horse and carriage...quite an adventure and a nice way to mingle with the very friendly locals.
No time to get bored over here ;-)

We kozen Baobab Belge op basis van de recensies op Tripadvisor. Wat een warme ontvangst, in dit stukje paradijs! Dominique de uitbaatster is de beste gastvrouw die je je kan voorstellen.
Lekker ontbijt, leuke en verzorgde kamers,heerlijk muziekje, goede info en organisatie van uitstappen en excursies aan de helft van de prijs omdat deze dame van wanten weet. en samen werkt met Moussa de taximan waar je op rekenen kan! een aanrader éérste klas!!
Senegal niet ver en zonzeker, we komen terug!!

Io e Cesare, siamo stati molto contenti di pernottare al baobab Belge,una locazione pulita e curata,dove l'arte ed il rispetto dell'ambiente sono il loro portabandiera,..servono una colazione
gustosa ed abbondante,..cosa difficile d'avere in altri posti dove siamo stati.Domenique è una donna sorridente che sa mettere a proprio agio chiunque incontri,molto solare e disponibile,...è anche una cantante discreta,una sera con il gruppo l'abbiamo sentita in un locale di Saly,una serata piacevole di allegria,è sicuramente un buon posto dove stare,la spiaggia è a 50 mt.e la zona è super tranquilla,..!! consigliabile -

I stayed a few times at Baobabbelge and I would recommend it to everyone looking to discover Senegal. I stayed in many hotels an B&b;'s over the last 7 years around the " Petite Côte", but nowhere I felt as good and welcome as at Dominique's. Sche has a special gift to make you feel so welcome, and help you out with discovering wat's happening around or organise some excursions all over Senegal. You want have a dull moment at her place, sometimes you will see her feeding or washing one of the abandoned kids, buying fresh fish at her doorstep or vegetables, having a duet with some of the musicians who visit her and so much more. What I also liked is that she always makes you discover good music, could be african, but also jazz, blues etc.
Her rooms and terraces are so cosy, and there is always a hot shower in the clean bathroom.
Baobabbelge is also located in a good spot, you are close to the beach ( 2 min walking), close to restaurants and bars and taxi's, and still you feel that you live among the senegalese friendly people. I would recommend this place especially for people who start their discovery of africa for the first time. If you start at Baobabbelge in Senegal you will fall in love with africa and always come back! -

Although you have the real african experience, you'll also feel at home at Dominique's B&B;! She will make you feel very welcome and you'll never be bored.
It's a top location: very close to the beach. And there are some nice and cheap little restaurants nearby, with live music at the evenings, where it's very easy to meet and speak with the local people.
