Conveniently located near the intersection of Loop 410 and Hwy 281,our three bedroom two bath home is well situated for sightseeing in San Antonio. The Alamo, Riverwalk and Tower of the Americas are less than 15 minutes away. Shopping (Whole Foods, Target, Borders, the Mall) less than 5 minutes away. Our home is surrounded by excellent restaurants - some unique local establishments as well as the familiar ones.
While at home, the kids can enjoy our backyard play area with teatherball, rope swings in the big oak tree, basketball, tricycles, four square and more. At meal time everyone will fit at our 11 foot dining table. Afterw...Read more

Our home is located inside Loop 410 just two blocks from North Star Mall, and four blocks from the Quarry Market and Whole Foods Market area. The airport is 7 minutes away though flight paths don't cross over, so no noise from planes. Buses go from the end of the street to the downtown area. There are many restaurants within a few blocks of the house.

Wow, what a great place to stay!! The Smith family made our vacation wonderful and accomodating! The house is the perfect place to stay for multiple reasons. It worked amazingly well for us as a retreat place to hang out with our airman, a meeting place to gather the extended visitors, and we enjoyed the many luxaries of a home (kitchen, washer/dryer, yard, living room, privacy, and large eating area). My only warning is you will want to drink bottled water if you are an out of area visitor. We normally drink bottled water even at home, so the hard water was not an issue for us at all! Very much enjoyed our stay and we will be staying again if possible. Thank you Smith family for making our trip to San antonio extra special!!!

We stayed at this home for a family Christmas celebration. Hosts Richard and Becky went out of their way to make sure we had a great visit--even had the living room all decorated! They are readily available to answer questions or take care of any problems that might arise. House is well-located, walking distance to North Star Mall and other shopping and an easy drive to downtown Sa, the zoo, or the amusement parks on the Northwest side. There's a spacious back yard for kids (yes, even our adult children!) to run off steam. Just keep in mind that this is an older home, not a new property. While the owners have maintained it well, you will have to be willing to tolerate some small things, like not trying to run both showers at the same time. Also, if you plan to do more than light cooking, you would do well to ask the owners in advance what they have in the kitchen--it will serve most people's needs well, but we ended up borrowing a couple of extra items from local relatives to do Chirstmas dinner. Still, these are minor things--I highly recommend this place for the wonderful hosts and great location.

We have stayed at this rental twice and have been extremely satisfied with our stay. This is a great value for its many family friendly amenities and great location. This is not only good for families with young children, but I can definately see us renting this place as the children grow.
Becky and Richard go out of their way to accomodate their guests and have not missed a detail to make us feel like we are at home.
I feel so lucky to have found this rental. -

Everything was perfect in The Smith's home. They thought of everything to make our stay with our two kids (3 and 1) perfect. Clean, comfortable, great location. Everything went smoothly. I can't say enough nice things about their home and their hospitality.

This was a great place to stay. When we returned from a day of touristing, it
felt like we returning to our own home. The Smith family supplies almost
everything you might need. Our 7 year old grandson loved the backyard. We
spent every afternoon there so he could play with swings and toys that were
provided.
I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a place to stay in

The house is very clean and well maintained. It has plenty of room. The Smith's have done a great job making sure everyone from the youngest to the oldest is taken care of. We highly reccommend this house to any people visiting San Antonio who need more than a motel room or have a big family.
They have directions to things you might not normally think of such as a doctor or grocery store. -

We had an awesome time at Richard and Becky's house. It was much closer to the attractions than we initially thought (about 15mn), the backyard is like an Ali Baba cavern for kids, they'd be up at 7AM begging to go out and play. The house was spotless, I really enjoyed the layout, and the open floor plan. The kitchen equipment is very very nice and modern. They also have an area with kids toys, a few board/card games, some books, tapes and dvds. It was just fantastic and kept the children fascinated the day it was pouring rain outside.
Richard and Becky are great hosts, kind, alert and responsive to any questions/requests/remarks. They have a wonderful, caring family and outlook.
It's definitely a keeper and we enjoyed our stay and will be back !
