We weren't sure what to expect with renting a house, but this was a great experience! Everyone had their own space and comfy beds. We couldn't have had this quality of stay at a hotel for the same price. We were close enough to everything we wanted to do but far enough to avoid the tourist traffic jams. Best vacation ever! We'd definitely stay again!!

Our family stayed here over the Labor Day weekend, 2012 for a family wedding on the Riverwalk. Location was great, about 20 minutes to Riverwalk and Six flags, we did both. House was in great shape, full kitchen, back yard. Easy access getting into the rental when we arrived.

We went with two families and there was lots of stuff for the kids to do. The kitchen table was huge and had 8 chairs for all our kids to sit. The living room was closed off from the kitchen so the kids were able to play in the other room. We chose this house because of the playground and the lower price. We were going to stay in New Braunfels but it was pricey. It was a 30 minute drive to go tubing and schlitterbahn. We would recommend this place to anyone. We will most likely be going back next year.

Thank you Barbara so much for accomodating our family. House was very clean and comfortable for us. The yard needed mowing badly but was taken care of on that Sat. The shrub by driveway really extends over the driveway scratching vehicles and making it difficult to get in and out of the car when more than one car in driveway. You may or not be aware of middle bath shower design that creates dangerous puddles of water on floor and water still remained on floor around toilet even when shower not used. Rug was soaked--maybe leak around toilet somewhere? Kiddos loved backyard and all room in house to play in. Neighbors seemed very friendly--one even asked if we needed help to get in when we first arrived and couldn't get in. Overall really a nice experience but the house will get really warm when summer comes around. Ac unit may just be too small for the large house. Thanks again!

Members of your party turned away the A/C service man during your stay - stating that everything worked perfectly. We have never had a complaint about the A/C in the past but will make very certain things are in working order! Rain prevented the yard maintenance just before your arrival - unfortunate but unavoidable. I will check into the puddle situation and address immediately - the shower you mention is a handicap access shower.

We enjoyed 2011 Christmas week in San antonio at one of the San antonio Family Vacation homes. We had an outstanding week and found Barbara to be extremely helpful throughout the booking, pre-stay and during-the-stay process. The home was exactly as promised and offered a great location for us to stay. We had four adults and two little children. Barbara equipped the home with toys and books for the little ones, a Christmas tree, and even a high chair, pack n' play and blender (at our special request). During the stay we had several questions arise, and her manager was extremely prompt and helpful in answering our questions. Barbara even found us discount coupons for area attractions (like SeaWorld and Six Flags)! While initially concerned that the location may be too far out of the city, we found it to be a great location, with easy access to all of San antonio's favorite attractions. We would definitely recommend it for your vacation needs.

The house was perfect, great location, and affortible, and great customer service from organization making sure that my family checked in without problems and letting me know of any house concerns better then staying in a cramped hotel room. The house was in good shape, clean, and organized. Perfect for children, had a nice back yard to play in with a play house, and a play room inside as well. Plenty of room and space for a big family to spread out in. Plenty of beds and bedding to go around. Minor problems would be better location for the light switches, and or on/off switches for the 1st kitchen fan, better cable package with sports not cheap cable and explaination on how the tv/cable works, better internet speed, check on bed boxsprings, and door lock alignments, the front door lock was sticking out a tad bit preventing the front door to close a few times. Besides that the house was perfect and accomplished its mission for a big family. I would recommend this house to big families and soldiers. Thankyou, God bless and God speed

Very comfortably furnished for entended family including grandparents and 2 children. Kitchen was well equipped to allow for home cooked meals during Thanksgiving weekend. Tv was set-up for all the cable channels to provide for basketball and football games in between the sight seeing. Centrally located for easy access to the Riverwalk, Natural Bridge Caverns and many shopping centers. Backyard was great for relaxing, swinging, and tossing around the football. Neighborhood was quiet, great for morning walk, yet convenient to major highways. This was our third stay, and certainly not our last. We have referred Safv to many pleased friends. Thanks!

Barbara, this property was amazing for our family! :-) We felt at home from the moment we opened up the door of this house! :-) There is no way we would've been as comfortable, relaxed and as economical, if we would've rented rooms at a... hotel! The house is so spacious and it was just amazing and perfect, for our party of 8! It was just wonderful to be able to serve my son a nice home cooked meal during our 6 day/5 night stay, since he had been in the Usaf basic military training since January, so it was awesome to have him over one day for a few hours to hang out and relax and shower and all that good stuff he's been missing from home! :-) Barbara thank you and thank your care taker for us! You both were so amazing! :-) We would definetly stay here again if the opportunity arose and will definitely recommend this house rental to all my family and friends! :-)

It was a bit too far for the air force graduation. We had to drive back and forth 4 times/day on some days, which was a bit much. The house was roomy and the area was nice.

What a wonderful house we rented to enjoy a fabulous weekend with daughters and granddaughters! The house was clean and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our weekend. It was wonderful having the space for the 4 granddaughters to laugh and have fun without worrying about bothering anyone in the next room. We would stay there again without hesitation. Lots of bang for your buck, enjoyable, nice location, play was great, washer was a huge pluse with 4 kids, close to the mall, close to everything, Locked myself out two times, unable to use garage, unable to use grill, but overall was a good experience and would return.

We arrived in San antonio and came to this extremely clean and awesome house. Fully stocked, and had a wonderful backyard which my daughter loved. Barbara was great to work with, returned emails and any questions that i had. this was a beautiful home in a nice neighborhood and location was great! (took some getting used to since we are from Mass) Everyone was extremely nice, even the neighbors. I would highly recommend this house to rent, clean, reasonably priced and just a great place all around. If we come back to San antonio i would definately rent out this house again.! Thanks Barbara for a wonderful stay! 4 stars!!!

The property was everthing we had been promised. There was plenty of space for our four children to play. There were lots of toys in the bedroom and a fenced in yard with a great playset to entertain them. The master suite was spacious with a king size bed. We found the kitchen and laundry areas fully equipped. The location was ideal. The owner has invested lots of thought and care. After our ten day visit we were very well rested and would not hesitate to return for another stay.

Everything about our stay was perfect!!! There were two couples, 4 kids & 2 teenagers and plenty of room. Us girls enjoyed cocktails on the patio while the men cooked on the grill and the kids played in the backyard. The kids also spent time exploring all the new toys and playing in the large family area with the video games. We had plenty of sleeping room (course the teenagers prefer the family room couches with the tv and gamestation) and we could put the little ones to bed and still enjoy the rest of the evening without waking them. We were gone during the day time - floating the river, playing at Schlitterbaum and several went to Sea World, while the others floated down the river again. The location was convenient, the 30 minute drives allowed the kids to get a short nap before it was time to go go go again. We all had a blast and will definately look into staying again.
