San Carlos is primarily a resort community for the U.S., Canada and Mexico. It is world reknown for its scuba diving at San Pedros Island and for incredible sport fishing including regular tournaments. Beaches are wonderfully soft sand with some shelling and lots of swimming, kayaking, snorkeling and sailing. There is an 18-hole golf course open to public play. The community life is quiet and friendly with English spoken in most places. Restaurants and beach bars abound with great entertainment every evening. Days include golf, fishing, cruising, snorkeling, scuba, sailing, kayaking, ATVing and just relaxing on the beach. Within 10 minutes is the thriving Mexican town of Guaymas (with airport) where you can enjoy movies, the arts, festivals and more. Shopping for groceries and souvenirs is within minutes of this condo location. The Mexican culture is very friendly, relaxed and welcoming. You can travel to the Dolphinario nearby or the Pearl Farm for a days enjoyment.

We spent 3 weeks here in late March. The conndo is small but beautifully and comfortably furnished. With a veranda overlooking the boats in the gorgeous San Carlos Marina, we could sit on the small patio in the evenings watching the wind gently swaying the tall palm trees, and hear the soft music wafting up from the small winebar below, which always ended by 9 pm (Gringo Midnight!) There were numerous little cafes within walking distance serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There was no oven in the condo, no dishwasher and no washer and dryer, but it was a short walk to barracuda Bob's to do the laundry, and for 3 weeks we had no problem washing the dishes by hand. The place is sparklingly clean and has one of the most comfortale queen size beds ever. With a small but very nice dining table and chairs, plus very comfortable living room furniture, we enjoyed our stay immensely, and the owners just couldn't do enough to make sure we hd everything we needed. The owners, Dot and John Santy make everything about this condo perfect. There is no hassle of checking in or out; you basically just show up and and unpack. Everything that you might need or want is provided. The view overlooking the marina and the mountains is very beautiful and calming. The codo is very tastefully decorated and feel at home as soon as the door closes. The location is perfect. You can walk to the grocery, pharmacy, and at least 8 different restaurants. There are numerous outdoor actinides nearby and the beaches are beautiful and ocean is clean and clear.I spent the month of February there and can't wait to go back. The people are very friendly and travel is safe. I am a single woman and drove alone to San Carlos from Tucson, Arizona, and would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering making the trip.

My wife and I had a great week in San Carlos on the first week of July, with lots of activity, with a good fishing time, we caught sea bass and yellow tail on bottom fishing and a couple of dolphin fishes (mahi mahi) trolling back to the marina. We had a great time snorkeling and spending time on the beaches, the water is nice and cool for these hot summer days in San Carlos. On a calm evening on the Soggy Peso, watching the sunset, we were able to watch the Baja's "Tres Virgenes” volcanoes on the horizon and manage to get good pictures of them.
We like to go out fishing, so it is an advantage to have the condo right at the Marina, and we enjoyed and spent very good time in the pools as well. With restaurants, bars and supermarkets at walking distance, this is a nice place to stay. Dot and John you have made a great work with the condo! With a very nice Mexican decoration that makes it different to a regular condo, and with everything needed to spend a good vacation time. Definitively we are coming back on the next visit to San Carlos.

We loved our stay in San Carlos. The condo was perfect---clean, well decorated and a beautiful view of the marina from the balcony. Such a picturesque setting! We loved the 2 pools and the several little restaurants, wine bar right downstairs and all the fun, fun things to do nearby. A week was not long enough to enjoy this lovely little town. We always felt very safe, even walking at night. We would love to come back!!

I have traveled for work extensively throughout Mexico and thus experienced a variety of accommodations and settings--particularly in SC. This condo is far and above the best in terms of cleanliness, comfort, available sundries and amenities and location (it's always about location). The owners are very accessible as well as promote an easy rental engagement. Despite the fact that I would prefer to keep this little gem to myself--I highly recommend it.

We spent almost the whole month of august in this wonderful spot. The price was very reasonable and the condo was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of the Marina and Mountain. Dot and John were great letting us know all the activities to expect when visiting San Carlos. We did them all. We had a great time fishing, snorkling, swimming in the Sea of Cortez, spending evenings at the Soggy Peso, and of course Beach Combing for shells. I would recommend this Condo to anyone wanting to vacation in San Carlos.

wow! What a fabulous time we had in San Carlos. Your condo decore was out of this world and fitted the Mexican theme to a tee! For 6 weeks, we enjoyed warm sunshine every day,coffee on the balcony in the mornings, walking the beaches, golfing, snorkeling (without a wetsuite), eating out at various restaurants and enjoying many Margarita's! We met some new friends, learned some Spanish & found the people so pleasant. We even had a boat tour on the bay. All the people we met, have asked us not to spread the wow factor of San Carlos, fearing it will be over-run with tourists. We agree! But, we are planning to be back sooner than later... We took trips to Guaymas and Empalme. Enjoyed the Guaymas Carnival Parade and our tour of the Pearl Farm. Oh it was just heaven and we are truly sorry to be heading back to Canada, where it's cold and snowing right now. Thanks to Dot & John. They were great hosts and gave us so much information, which truly helped to make this holiday so special.
