Suffolk, UKWelcoming hosts, authentic villa.
Left on 01/13/2012 for a stay in August 2011
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Loads of space in amongst beautiful Italian countryside, exactly what we hoped for. We are a family of four, two children aged 7 and 9 - the swimming pool was a big hit. We enjoyed relaxing at the villa but plenty of places to explore further afield - we used buses from the village - Florence a definite must to visit.
Alberto and Beatrice made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. They left us delicious wine and olive oil. We even got to see the grapes being pressed.
We will be returning! -

ColombiaExcelente residencia para recorrer la Toscana
Left on 01/13/2012 for a stay in November 2011

We were a group of aussies seeking the quintessential Tuscan experience and we found it. A 200 year old stone house with heaps of room set among vineyards and olive groves
with a spectacular view of the rolling hills of Tuscany and hosts who enhanced our Italian experience. We will be return. -

Montreal, CanadaIt was fantastic!
Left on 11/17/2010 for a stay in September 2010
The villa is very very well located. She is very to Florence where we went with our own car (you need a GPS). The owners of the villa, Alberto and his wonderful wife and daughter Livia, welcomed us very warmly. Everything was excellent.

Waukee, Iowa USAA Trip of a Lifetime!!!
Left on 06/29/2009 for a stay in October 2007
Our trip to Italy was in celebrate of our 25th wedding anniversary. We toured Rome, Venice, Florence however the time we spent in San Casciano at Villa Gentile was the highlight of our trip and truly exceeded our expectations! Our hosts, Alberto and Beatrice, made us feel genuinely welcome and went out of their way to make us feel at home for the length of our stay there. Villa Gentile was everything we had hoped for and more in it's charming accommodations. It was comfortable and the rural surroundings with vineyards and olive groves were beautiful and very scenic-just what we had imagined Italy to be. Alberto and Beatrice were generous in giving their time to answer our questions about so many things and to help us with our travel plans for little sightseeing day trips from the Villa. It is located in an area that affords convenient travel to other notable areas such as Florence, Pisa, Cortona or just simply a leisurely jaunt into San Casciano for coffee and a pastry on a cafe patio, grocery shopping for fresh foods in the bakeries, pasta shops, meat/veggie/fruit shops or to visit one of their fine eating establishments. We went with high expectations and our only disappointment was that we could not stay longer! Our experience at Villa Genile is one that we hope to repeat again in the near future and for a longer stay the next time around. We highly recommend the Villa and it's hosts for your trip to Italy!!

Alberta, CanadaEverything I always hope to find inTuscany!
Left on 06/25/2009 for a stay in September 2007
Wonderfully quaint accommodations in a house filled with history and still loved by the family that owns it. We all fell in love with Alberto and his girlfriend Beatrice. The house is huge with lots of rooms to gather or separate (if you're sick of your travel companions). Very centrally located and within easy distance to Florence and other historical villages and wineries. Loved the back yard and pool to spend time soaking in the Tuscan sun but also enjoyed the lower "stable" level to hide from the sun or get out of the occasional shower. The house is very old and I found the stairs and uneven terracotta floors to be a great sobriety test after more than several bottles of Chianti. We loved Villa Gentile and will definitely return when we can.
