Ajijic, MexicoA charming, home away from home.
Left on 02/19/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Sherry's casa is charming...clean, comfortable and cosy. And it is perfectly located...close to the heart of San Cristobal but away from the noise. The service, both when arranging the rental and the house cleaning and grounds maintenance during our stay was friendly, efficient and complete.
We had a most pleasant experience.

HonoluluA gem!
Left on 01/04/2013 for a stay in July 2012
The house is absolutely charming and a wonderful place to stay in San Cristobal. Unlike other rental properties, this is a home, and you will find everything you need in the house. There's always wonderful hot water (solar!), pure drinking water, lots of cookware, a beautiful garden, a really warm chimenea, and just an all-around great house. The house is well-located between downtown and the market--easy walking distance to most everything you need. Sherry and her staff (manager, gardener, housekeeper) are very attentive and helpful. You will get a fast response if you need any help with the house. Highly recommended!

SydneyWonderful house in perfect location
Left on 07/14/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This house is located in a quiet residential street right next to the city centre. It is a characterful property that makes you feel immediately at home. It is not like many holiday rentals that can be rather sparsely equipped and furnished, it really feels like you are staying in someone's home with shelves full of personal effects including plenty of books and dvd's. There is an open fireplace to warm the house on cold nights and a delightful garden. We stayed for a month and had a fantastic time; San Cristobal is a great base from which to explore the wonderful region of Chiapas.

Merida, Yucatan, MexicoIt felt like Home!
Left on 06/18/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We travelled to San Cristobol de Las Casas to escape the heat of Merida. Sherry's Casa was perfect for us. Even though the location in Centro was fantastic with an easy walk to restaurtants, the Zocolo, and the market, the Casa is situated on a quiet street. The Casa was fully equipped with everything you could need to feel as though you were at home. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings.
Sherry is a joy to deal with and was always very prompt in any thing that we needed. Our security deposit was quickly returned.
We will definitely go back and are already thinking about our stay next year! -

Left on 03/20/2012 for a stay in March 2012
What you see in this webside is exacly what you get, and for a couple of experienced travellers, that was the oly surprising thing. Everything that we needed for a comfortable stay was ready when we arrived, the staff were there to welcome us warmly -- even a with a fire blazing on the hearth -- and then mercifully left us on our own. The house and garden are immaculate, well and attractively furnished, with ease of access to all the places of interest in this fascinating city.

Saskatchewan, CanadaA home within the Mayan Culture
Left on 02/23/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We enjoyed this vacation home because of it's central location to all of the amenities in San Cristobal. The produce markets and artisans market, city squares, commercial district with shops , resturants and banks are all within walking distance as well as numerous cultural and historical building and sites. The vacation homes' owner was very accomodating during the reservation and rental process. The service provided by the caretaker and gardener/maintenance persons was excellent with very minimal disruption to our daily activities. We loved how the home was set up, lovely and very functional kitchen, great family room with fire place, and movies and books, we could have stayed for another month. Being young seniors we really appreciated the firm mattresses on the beds. The Magic Jack phone which allowed us to call toll free to anywhere in the U.S. and Canada was a great bonus. Thank-you very much, Sherry.

HoustonCozy casa
Left on 12/16/2011 for a stay in July 2011
This is well located house perfect for hosting one or two couples for a week or more in central San Cris. It is as charming and beautifully decorated as promised with a nicely equipped kitchen and small but well manicured garden and terrace. The caretaker was there waiting on me when I arrived driven by their recommended private driver. They were so nice welcoming to me after a long day of travel. Everything in the house functioned just as advertised, if not better. It rained several times with no problems of dampness during my stay, because I followed the caretaker's simple suggestions. My only complaint was the street noise (in my case a barking dog or two) at night which had me use the second bedroom off the kitchen. This second bedroom was completely sound proof, warm, and dry thanks to the automatic dehumidifier ( which I turned off at bedtime). Location is about 5 minute walk to town square and the pedestrian only streets where all the restaurants and shops are. The best features of the house are the super sunny kitchen with attached dining area, the living room with large fireplace and abundant fire building supplies, and the views from both these rooms of the garden and hills beyond the garden wall. Loved it and would definitely contact Sherri again about renting her house!

it's hard to find a better place in san cristobal for the price, location, and quality. sherry's house is well-maintained, and beautifully built. we were very pleased that it was not at all damp or musty like so many places in town. sherry and her team were very attentive and helpful. The garden was a life-saver for our 2-yr old.

Our stay in Sherry's Casa was wonderful in every way. Making the reservations, communicating with Sherry and her prompt replies, the location, the beds, the fireplace, the kitchen, the garden, and then wonderful San Cristobal!!! Also, our deposit was returned to us almost immediately, no problems. The whole experience is not to be missed. Sandy and Steve

Left on 03/31/2011 for a stay in March 2011
This delightful house is ideally situated in one of our favorite cities in Mexico. It is comfortably and tastefully furnished, completely functional (i.e. everything works!) and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked and pleasant to work in. We especially like the patio where we often dine al fresco during the day and the large fireplace (in the living room) which we used every evening. The bathrooms are great - one features a jacuzzi the other a large tiled shower.

Oakland, CA but living in Oaxaca this yearLoved our stay here in San Cristobal de las Casas
Left on 03/27/2011 for a stay in March 2011
This place worked out beautifully for us. The location couldn't be better, and Sherry and site manager Linda were fantastic about answering questions, setting us up, and even recommending a babysitter for a much-appreciated parent's night out. The house is cozy and very nicely decorated, and the kitchen especially well equipped. (The solar instant-on shower was also fantastic, even with three showers in a row.) The only possible concern for parents with kids is that the 2nd bedroom is a little distance from the main, and to reach the bathroom from there you go out on the porch briefly. Not a problem for us, but parents with very small kids might think about it. Great fireplace, wi-fi, and a wonderful place to stay in Sn. Cris. We'd go back again for sure!

Sherry's Casa is a stylish and comfortable house decorated with unique interiors and local handcrafts that make it a perfect blend of modernity and traditions. Fireplace in the livingroom and lights in the garden create a magic atmosphere both in the day and night time. The kitchen is full of whatever an eco-chic cooking lover would like to find. The beds guarantee deep sleeping nights and bathrooms are thought for people who loves comfort.
We had a great time during our stay in San Cristobal de las Casas. -

Montreal, CanadaWell-presented casa, great value
Left on 01/03/2011 for a stay in October 2010
For me, there was much to like about staying at this casa: ease of organising with the owner (Sherry), a traditional casa that felt like a home-away-from-home, friendly housekeepers, and a great location less than 10 minutes walk from the main pedestrian thoroughfares. The casa is beautifully furnished, and Sherry and her team provide the necessities (as well as non-essentials, like Dvds, books, tourist reference material) to make sure you are comfortable. Having travelled non-stop for the last four months, Sherry's Casa ranks as one of my favourite and most memorable accommodations.
