We are so excited to add this newly remodeled 3 bedroom/2 bath condo to our very popular collection of one bedrooms in this small bay front condo complex. It will be a great addition in the summer and holidays when the families traveling together are larger. Stroll on the sand along the shore or ride our 3 provided beach cruiser bicycles and/or 3 provided 10 speed bicycles on the miles and miles of boardwalk along the bay and ocean.

Mont. Vill, MDLovely place, terrible master bed
Left on 04/27/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We enjoyed the location and the apartment and would have given it a much higher rating - except that the bed in the master bedroom was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Like sleeping on concrete.

Left on 03/13/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This location is one of my favorites in all of San Diego! I have stayed all over San Diego and there's nothing that quite beats Mission/Sail Bay. This condo offered comfortable and cozy accommodations for rest & relaxation. Clean and up-kept in every way. I stayed for business and pleasure and this was the perfect place for it! Quiet, pleasant and convenient to everything. Grocery stores and eateries were just around the corner. My favorite was riding the beach cruisers around the Bay. At night, viewing the boats and lights from the Balcony was a dream and during the day the calm sunshine and light breezes poured in. This condo has plenty of space and is well equipped with everything. I would highly recommend it to friends, family and others. Thank you.

San JoseRemodelled 37-year old condo in great location with partial bay
Left on 10/08/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Condo is quite nice with good quality furnishings and a nice layout. The view out the windows was really disappointing - the bedroom windows all either have a view of the elevated walkway or the windows of the (very) nearby building next door, so the drapes were always closed to preserve privacy (having them open wouldn't be of much benefit anyway as there was nothing attractive to look at.) There are lots of floor to ceiling windows in the living room, but they too look at the building between this unit and ocean, and the rather boring walkway outside, and you feel like you are in a fishbowl as people walk by a few feet from you while you go about your business. You do have a partial view of Sail Bay from the balcony, the kitchen table, and the kitchen, and for a couple months a year the sun is in the right spot so you can watch it set from the apartment.
Building was built in 1975 (according to Zillow) and has been nicely maintained and yet still shows its age. Same goes for the apartment interior. For example, the master bath is very nicely remodeled, but when the aC or heat is on the fan blows so loudly you can barely sleep. This would be ideal if you were trying to drown out noise from a party, but was annoying otherwise. Kitchen has a dated feel (cabinets and countertops) but has new stainless steel appliances made by Samsung. There is an electric grill on the balcony that is a poor substitute for a charcoal or even a gas grill - I guess code prevents real fire from being used for cooking.
The location is fantastic (walk downstairs to the beach), the size of the unit was perfect for my wife and I, our three kids, and my folks, and we had a great time. There is a building between this condo and the beach that blocks most of the view. While the location of this complex is great, the location of the condo within the complex was poor. Had this unit been at the front of the building I would have given 5 stars for location instead of 3. -

ShepherdSan Diego vacation - awesome
Left on 10/03/2012 for a stay in September 2012
The condo we rented was beautiful and clean and everything you could need was provided. It was close to everything that we went to. The view was spectacular. It was very quiet there. We rarely saw anyone else. Are only difficulty was with the tv remote. However we are alittle electronically challenged. We would recommend this to everyone.
The reservation process was very easy, all was done online via email.
Thank you so much! We will do this again, and recommend you to others. -

This place is in a top location everything you need is only minutes away very close to the major tourist spots. The apartment is very clean and comfortable with enough space for the 6 of us. The staff at Nancy's were professional, helpful and email responses were extremely prompt 5 star service and I have no hesitation for my full recommendation. As a first time traveler to america from australia and our first stop being San Diego this has been a great start to our holiday. Thanks again for everything.

Seattle, WAGreat beach-side condo for our young family
Left on 08/29/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We had a wonderful vacation. The condo was just as described. Nancy was available to meet us and offered safety gates for our toddler. We loved being right on the bay, and yet just a few driving blocks from the ocean. The kids loved the bunk bed, the sand toys, and the nearby playground. We loved having tons of space to spread out, a/c, and the proximity to beaches, SeaWorld, the zoo, and LegoLand (an easy 25 minute drive to the latter). We found the bed in the master a little hard for our liking, and would have liked to have had a tv in the bedroom. Also, it would have been nice to have spices in the kitchen. But overall, we had a very nice visit!

Redlands, CAWe had a great time!
Left on 07/04/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The biggest challenge we found was tuning the TV to a channel and finding the sound button on the counsole next to the couch. A simpler system, turn on and play, would be better for us techno-phobs. We missed a TV in the bedroom. The kitchen was very well-equipped. We found everything we needed: dishes, a full set of knives, a blender, baking dishes, etc. It was nice to have supplies. A coffee maker that automiaticlly turns off would be helpful and less of a fire hazzard than the one there. The beds were great. It took a while to figure out the entrance and exit procedures, but once we got it, everything moved smoothly. We enjoyed the beach toys, including the bicyles. The weather was great. We enjoyed the area very much. It was very quiet in the building. The steps in the condo would be a problem for someone with knee or hip issues.

All in all a great place, run by a very professional outfit. The home was clean, everything worked, and mission bay is a great place to spend a few days away from home. I would have preferred to meet an actual person at check instead of go through the rigamarole of lockboxes and combination locks, but it worked out fine. The staff at shore management was very gracious. They received some mail on my behalf and held it until I picked it up. All in all a very positive experience.

Left on 02/28/2012 for a stay in February 2012
The condo was in a great location and the service setup was very good. The information provided was excellent. Unfortunately some of the decor needed to be fixed e.g. missing tiles replaced by cardboard in the master bath. The aV/TV equipment was not easy to use and very outdated.
Response from Nancy's Vacation Rentals - 03/03/2012
Manager
This was a temporary problem with the tiles. We had to replace the valve in the wall for the shower and the plumber carefully removed 8 tiles from the wall on the back side of the shower, which is next to the toilet to do so. We only had enough time to make the repair before these guests arrived and since it was the week of President's weekend, everything was full and we had nowhere to move them to make the tile repair. So, as not to disturb their stay, we just taped some cardboard over the 8' by 12" hole and as soon as they left, we repaired it. We try to keep all of our places in excellent condition but sometimes things need to be repaired. I will look into the AV/TV equipment but since it is a thin flat screen TV, how "old" could it be?These owners bought this place about 3 years ago. We are the only rental agency that has a full time Tech Service guy on call to answer any questions our guests have about any of the electronics or help them get connected and in the instructions the guests receive, his phone number is clearly stated. They could have called Robert and he would have helped them right away. The Rivera Villas condos are a very popular location on lovely Sail Bay and we have 12 condos there and hundreds of comments with a 4.5 star average (out of 5 stars). Nancy

Brewster, NYThis was a great way to spend the holidays!
Left on 02/02/2012 for a stay in December 2011
The apartment was large enough for my mother-in-law, niece, husband and myself - three bedrooms with ample space. The kitchen was well stocked. We made Christmas dinner for seven in the kitchen and had lots of room around the dining room table for eating. The bathrooms were large with lots of storage space. Lots of towels and extras. Large tv with many areas for seating. We did have trouble starting the gas fireplace. That would have been nice on the cooler evenings.
We used the bikes each day and enjoyed walking around the bay. The weather was gorgeous! Definitely different than the northeast. This was our second experience with renting from Nancy's Vacation Rentals. We've already reserved our next. -

Left on 09/16/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Spacious condo and nicely furnished. Underground parking spots are tight and ceiling is low so our Yukon XL didn't fit in the garage. There is street parking but it's busy in the summer. The condo has air conditioning, but it's not great. We were there during a hot week and the bedrooms never really cooled down. The location is excellent and the kids had fun playing and swimming in the bay.

Everything was great!
A minor criticism on the checkout instructions. They were a little hard to follow. We also encountered another couple who had the same issues. We eventually figured it out but maybe there is a better way to word the key/garage door instructions.
I would definitely return with my family and I would recommend Nancy's Vacation Rentals to my friends and family. Thanks for a great stay! -

We had a wonderful experience with Nancy's Vacation Rentals during our recent trip to San Diego. Due to the high cost of luggage included now in air travel our family of 5 traveled very lightly with only one carry on per person. I expected to need to buy basic supplies for the condo but was pleasantly surprised by how thoughtfully stocked the condo was. We had plenty of beach towels, laundry detergent, shampoo and even food containers for our leftovers. Nancy does a great job of giving you very detailed instructions about access to the condo, garage and beach bikes. The location was convenient to all of our sight seeing and we encountered very little traffic during our stay.

We stayed in Ceci's condo in May 2011. This was our 2nd time in Ceci's and 3rd time renting from Nancy's vacation rentals. As always, the service was great, and the condo was in great shape. Ceci's in particular is well stocked for a visiting family - everything we needed including beach toys and chairs, bikes, basic staples for cooking, and some videos and games for entertainment. The location is great - right on Mission bay and very close to most of the major SD attractions (Sea World, Zoo and Balboa Park, Cabrillo National Monument, La Jolla, downtown SD). Service was also great - very easy to work with Nancy and her staff. We had some problems with the wireless internet right when we checked in, and Robert came over immediately to solve it. We would definitely come back again.

I stayed with my husband, our two small children, my sister-in-law, her husband, and their daughter. We paid $50 and were provided with 3 pack n' plays and 3 highchairs, which was worth every penny!!! The beach was right downstairs, and there was a playground on the beach!! Anytime the kids got restless in the condo we had somewhere close and easy to take them. Having the parking spots was a lifesaver also. It seems like everywhere we went (La Jolla, Balboa Park, The San Diego Zoo, Seaport Village) was close-by. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone. It was clean, well-decorated and stocked with everything you could think of, from kitchen supplies, blankets, towels, shampoo and soap, hairdryers, Dvds and books.

Left on 09/08/2010 for a stay in August 2010
Our family had a wonderful week at Ceci's Riviera Villa. All 3 rooms were very comfortable. We had to run the fans at night to get rid of the noise from the street and some party noise on some nights in the units next to us. We had beautiful weather. The bikes were so fun to ride out the back and onto the path. The kids all loved taking them all around the bay. The kitchen was fully stocked and we did have breakfast in daily with the occasional cooked dinner. The refrigerator door does not close all the way and needs to be replaced. Someone has hung on the door and bent it and it does not seal properly. We enjoyed the view of the bay from the table each morning and again at sunset. We would visit again! Great location.

This condo was bigger than the pictures made it look. The master bedroom/bathroom was beautiful and since we traveled with little ones it was perfect since they wanted to sleep with "mommy and daddy". We went grocery shopping the day we got there and with the kitchen that Ceci's condo has, we saved so much more money. Very happy with it.

The condo was comfortable for 8 of us, very clean, nicely equipped kitchen and a great view of the ocean from our patio. We enjoyed the 4 bicycles provided with the condo rental and other beach toys.
When I cancelled my reservation due to change in plans, Jeremy & Nancy were very prompt in returning the deposit. I had re-booked with them at a later date due to the excellent service provided by them.
Jeremy, Nancy & others pay great attention to every detail and tried their best to accommodate our requests for early check-in. -

Foster City, CAFantastic rental for families in San Diego
Left on 05/27/2010 for a stay in June 2009
We stayed in Ceci's condo for 2 weeks in June 2009. The condo was great - very spacious, very well decorated, and very well equipped. Several times during our stay, we were even able to entertain friends/families who were also vacationing in San Diego. Nancy and Jeremy were very helpful, and the information they sent prior to our arrival was very useful. We would definitely recommend it - great location for families, especially ones with young children (it's in a quieter area and just down the beach from a good kids' park). It is very close to Sea World and other San Diego attractions (Balboa Park, Zoo), and is right on the water of Mission Bay (the bay is better for young kids because it's calm water with no waves). We liked it so much that we are renting from Nancy's again in 2010 and plan to make it a regular vacation rental for our family.
