Yes, you can have it all! Sail Bay is one of the best kept secrets in San Diego, a quiet upscale area with very few vacation rentals. Enjoy the good life with 180 degree panoramic views of this beautiful bay and the breath-taking sunsets. Extra large one bedroom penthouse condo with a sliding glass door out to the West-facing balcony and five large almost floor-to-ceiling windows to the South. Elegantly furnished with all the comforts of home, king size Tempur-Pedic 10 inch memory foam mattress, large flat screen TVs in both the living room and bedroo...m, soaking tub/shower, and an additional Queen Murphy bed with view of the bay. Coin op laundry room just 30 feet down the hall and on every floor.
Sit out on the balcony in comfortable chairs watching the action below on Sail Bay; water-skiers, catamarans, sail boats, kite-surfers, para-sailers. Or go down the elevator to join the people strolling on the boardwalk or ride the provided beach cruiser bikes on the miles and miles of paths along boardwalks of 4000 acre Mission Bay Aquatic Park or along the oceanfront. Maybe you'll catch a glimpse of the green flash right at sunset.
At night you'll see the two big paddle-wheel boats cruise right by your window, the lights of the strand across the bay and the moonlight reflecting off the water.
Morning is my favorite time with its soft colors, pelicans sitting on the buoys, egrets standing on the shore and the UCSD women's outrigger canoe teams cutting silently through the glassy water. This is a place you will definitely want to return to, again and again!

Don is correct, that is not cool at all. And to make matter worse, it was me, Nancy, owner of this condo and owner of the company. I had looked at the occupied calendar but looked at the wrong 404. We have two 404s in different buildings. So I thought it was empty or I certainly never would have entered but upon opening the door and seeing them in the living room, I quickly apologized and closed the door. It was a very rare mistake on our part but I followed up with Don by phone and again gave him my apologies. He said they really loved the place and he plans to come back and was very impressed that I called to follow up and apologize after seeing his post about this. Nancy

I chose this particular condo because of it's upscale décor first of all. It not only provided a gorgeous view but felt like a home. Everything was thought of and provided : beach towels, umbrella, chairs, boogie boards and on and on. There were a lot of runners and bicycle riders, and leashed dogs being walked by their owners. Great fun to watch! The age group seemed mostly 30-40 year old so it was a very well mannered group.

Wonderful views and daily water entertainment. Only disappointment was the whirlpool tub didn't work. It was my wedding anniversary and we searched high and low for the perfect spot with that specific amenity... other than that we enjoyed our stay.

We had a little difficulty getting into the condo but the staff at Nancy's was very helpful! This is an awesome, peaceful vacation spot. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. The view was fantastic and I especially loved watching the pelicans skim over the surface of the water every morning.
Overall, very pleased.

1-The wire that goes over the stove that is covered in some sort of goo
2-The light switches need an overhaul.
3-Strangest dishwasher we've ever seen. Plates won't fit in upright. Handle stuck.
4-TV remote operation always a mystery.
5-Fridge door does not shut well.
2-Centrally located. Close to downtown.
4-Parking good and secure.
5-Washer and dryer.
6-Great kitchen. Everything we needed.
7-Sleeping accommodations good.
9-Garage door opener.

Went here with my hubby in December 2013- we loved it so much we stayed in more than went out! The top floor corner view is great, and the condo was awesome-- both were exactly as pictured in listing. Sail Bay was fun to bike around (bikes provided), and the ocean as well as places to eat were just a bike ride away. We found ourselves making sure we were back to condo by 4:30pm every afternoon to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Very good customer service by Nancy's Vacation Rentals. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful location! The sun was out (in December) we sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the sun while watching our daughter plan in the sand below. I would definitely stay here again, next time we may come back in the summer.
The condo amenities were fabulous, comfortable beds, great shower, everything you would need to have as if you were at your own home.

We stayed in Jeff's condo 10/16-26. This is our 2nd time in Jeff's condo (and we've rented from Nancy's and stayed in the Riviera Villas complex so many times that we've lost track of the exact number). The condo is very spacious. King size bed in the bedroom, and the Murphy bed in the living room is queen size (I think). The view is what you'll really appreciate - corner unit on the top floor with unobstructed views looking south and west (and all the way to the north if you go out on the balcony). So relaxing. Great sunsets. The condo is very well equipped for cooking - we always eat in for breakfast and also cook at least one other meal each day that we stay, and the kitchen has everything we need. Apparently the previous tenants had let Nancy's know that there were only 3 coffee cups in the unit, and Nancy hand-delivered another 12 while we were there (we really only needed the 3). Location is great - so close to SeaWorld and Balboa Park. Quieter part of Pacific Beach area, but very close to the ocean - a very short drive or an easy bike ride (with the bikes that are provided!). And of course you're right on the calm beach shores of Mission Bay as soon as you walk out of the condo building. We keep meaning to try other rental units from Nancy's, but find it hard to leave the Riviera Villas condos because they are so ideal for us. We would definitely recommend this rental to a friend (and we actually have done exactly that - and they not only rented in the Riviera Villas, but liked it so much that they went back again).

The condo is lovely, well-equipped and comfortable. The view is terrific, whether on the balcony, sitting at the dining table, standing at the kitchen sink, or relaxing on the living room sofas! We enjoyed watching all the water sports on the bay and seeing the lights around the shore at night. So nice to take the elevator down to the garage and step right out onto the beach. No big waves here, but the water is warmer than the ocean and nice for swimming or just bobbing around. No restaurants or services within walking distance, but many just a short drive away. We had a minor issue with the toilet and with one of the Tv's, but we called Nancy's Rentals and the problems were quickly taken care of. Loved our stay and hope to return in the future.

Property was very clean and well supplied. Location is great. Sail Bay is quieter and calmer than Pacific Beach yet a short walk will get you into the heart of Pacific Beach where you can enjoy numerous local restaurants, pubs, Belmont amusement Park, open ocean (waves) and much more. Nancy's Vacation Rentals was everything they proclaimed and provided excellent customer service. Excellent maps of the area are provided which was extremely helpful finding grocery stores, restaurants and activities. The property was very secure and safe. Our unit needs a little cosmetic update but it was fully functional and very comfortable. I will use this company again.

This is our second stay at Jeff's condo and both times we received great customer service. We had to change dates a couple of times, and we received a quick response without feeling like we were causing them trouble. The condo is perfect for our family of four and we've recommended it to others. We also plan to stay again next year when we plan our family vacation with the extended family. The location is perfect for us w/ our 3 yr old twins. The beach felt like a private beach the majority of our stay. We were able to ride bikes and walk to some good places to eat. I only had two small complaints which kept me from giving a 5 star rating. The jets in the tub didn't work and we couldn't get the fireplace to work either stay. Neither affected our stay but they would have been nice. Read more
Response from Nancy's Vacation Rentals - 06/22/2013
We disabled the tub jets due to noise complaints from the unit below it. We do not advertise it as having a jetted tub. The fireplace with it's "automatic lighting" feature is tricky to use but we have instructions that we can email to the guests or walk them through it on the phone if they call. I will have them laminated and placed in the rental by the end of summer. Nancy

At best this condo is average, very outdated and in need of upgrading. What really topped off our week was the construction scheduled and performed while we were there. This meant that we couldn't open the windows and had the pleasure of the construction workers walking on the roof all day and on the scaffolding outside. Clearly not their fault, but clearly known to the management company who rented to us last minute and didn't bother to have the courtesy to mention this fact before taking our money. San Diego is a great city, this is not a company I will ever deal with again. Buyer beware !!!

Even though the weather was much cooler than last year, we still had a lot of lovely days. The staff at Nancy's Vacation Rentals are very friendly and helpful. To sum it up, Jeff's Villa provided us with a fabulous vacation.

We enjoyed our stay but had some issues with the rental unit itsef. Blinds had draw string issues, fireplace shut off wouldnt turn on, jacuzzi tub didn't work, grill was electric but no extension cord so working was another story, and lost internet and TV service for part of a day. They did a good job getting TV service restored but it did take a while. The rest of the amenities were just fine and the view was awesome. Read more
Response from Nancy's Vacation Rentals - 11/18/2012
We're happy to hear that this guest enjoyed their stay overall and would like to thank them for taking the time to write a review and provide this valuable feedback. Some of these issues, like the blinds and missing extension cord for the George foreman electric grill (we are not allowed to have gas or propane grills on the balcony due to City Fire Ordinances), have already been taken care of and corrected. The jacuzzi tub is also a known issue (the jets/bubbles are not functioning) but it creates too much noise for the unit below and we will not be repairing it as the Owner has planned to remodel the entire bathroom to include a new tub and better soundproofing. We manage 12 different properties in this building and are happy to provide WiFi access from a different property in the future if experiencing down-time while waiting for our Tech Rep. We're only a phone call away at all times and are here to help ensure that our guest's have the best possible experience while staying at one of our properties.

We've booked with Nancy's Vacation Rentals several times, staying in different units in the Riviera Villas building. This is our first time in Jeff's condo. As always, the booking process is easy and straightforward. In addition, Nancy's staff is very responsive to email questions. The Riviera Villas building is in a great location, especially for families. It is right on Mission Bay - walk out of the building, and you're on the beach, and the condo comes with beach toys, chairs, towels, and an umbrella. This is especially great for younger kids. Jeff's condo is quite spacious - between the Murphy bed in the living room and the king-sized bed in the bedroom, it can easily sleep up to 4 people. The kitchen is nice and well-equipped. Importantly, the views are great - top floor, southwest facing, with a complete view of Mission Bay down through Sea World. Internet and TV are included and functioned well. We really didn't have any major complaints and would highly recommend this unit.

We recently stayed at Jeff's Riviera Penthouse Condo. First, the use of Penthouse is because it is situated on the top floor so toss out any luxury visuals you may have. We've stayed in condos across the country so we know what to expect.
*Nancy and her staff are awesome, patient and very helpful
*Location is superb both from access to beach and logistically close to so many places on your itinerary.
*Many items were not in proper working condition such as screen door lock broken, screen door couldn't close all the way, fireplace wouldn't light, jets didn't work in tub, hot water handle kept falling off, window shade is very difficult to move up and down, refrigerator drawer that doesn't move properly, the bicycles were in terrible shape, etc. No one of these was a deal breaker but it definately took away from our experience. However, it didn't stop us from having a good time.
*Too many beach neighbors (not in our building) liked to party when they returned home from the bars. With no ceiling fans or air conditioning, we were forced to either close the windows and sweat or listen to their antics.

This was the first time I had stayed on the far east side of Sail Bay. I had no idea how clean and quiet the area was. We loved it! But still very close to the hussle and bustle of the mission Beach area. Very easy to find and close to all freeways. The condo was fully-stock with everything, including sheets, pillows, towels and anything you would need for a week at the beach. Perfect. I hope to return next vacation to this location. The beach cruisers were a great addition! Thanks to Jeff for his condo and to Nancy's Rentals for setting it up. My biggest disappointment was that Pacific Beach has gone healthy. Hard to find a Dunkin Donuts! haha. But I lost 5 lbs by walking the beautiful boardwalk every morning.

The condo was in a perfect location. Away from the bustle of Mission Beach, yet close enough to walk or ride bikes. The condo was well stocked -- the kitchen fully stocked, plenty of towels and comforatble sheets, bathroom toiletries and sand toys/beach chairs/sunbrella/bikes. We wanted for nothing in the condo, other than a swimming pool when we were tired of sand. It was a great deal and a relaxing vacation.

Jeff's Riviera Villas Condo was absolutley wonderful! Not only was the view incredible, but the condo was very roomy and comfortable and it had all the conveniences of home. Being on the bay was much less crowded than other places on the ocean, and we loved walking on the path to go to breakfast! We did a lot of activities during the day, and it was always nice to come back and just kick back at the condo and enjoy the view and sitting on the deck. We wish we had the time to ride the bicycles that were available, but we just ran out of time.. We will look forward to staying here again, it was the perfect get away and Nancy's Rentals made everything easy. They were always available to talk or email with any questions or concerns that we had.

This condo was beautiful, comfortable furniture, fully stocked kitchen, King-size bed, fold-away Murphy bed in the living room, desk in the hallway, fabulous views from the balcony. This corner unit has something most of the other units in the building don't have--windows all the way down the south side with views out of every one. There are dimmable ceiling lights in every room. The location is great, right on the bay, mere blocks from great restaurants and grocery stores, and a massage school and center on Garnet ave.

This condo is perfectly situated for exploration of Mission Bay, Mission Beach and the surrounding business district. Between the complimentary bikes and the terrific boardwalk, we were very connected with all the action of Mission Beach, while actually staying on the quieter, prettier Mission Bay. It was an easy walk or bike ride to groceries, many good restaurants, lots of fun bars and Mission Beach. We could have even easily ridden our bikes to Sea World!
The unit was fine for three of us. The kitchen was a little ... sticky. Everything is clean on the surface, but it needs a thorough deep cleaning and the oven is very finnicky. The bathroom needs some updating with wallpaper starting to peel and some grout that needs replacement. And the lighting system, with multiple switches and dimmers, is ridiculous.
All that said, the condo was a good value; the staff at Nancy's provided great service and prompt answers to the few questions we had. Any flaws are overcome by the great location.

We were in San Diego for a few days with my 2-year old son. The condo was very comfortable, roomy, with a great view of the bay. Nancy's rentals were extremely timely in handling any issues that came up, i.e. a blown light-bulb in the bathroom. The only very minor complaint I had was that the shower curtain liner had mildew at the bottom, which I normally wouldn't care about except I was bathing my 2-year old in the tub. In general, it was a great rental that I would definitely look into again when we're back in San Diego.

There was limited room to put your clothes, one shelf in the closet, a few hangers and no chest of drawers. Had to purchase missing kitchen utensils, bottle and can openers. I would highly recommend this spot to any family vacationing with young kids. Nancy went out of her way to accommodate all the many baby/toddler needs (potty topper, bench, highchair, bassinet with sheets,...) and were quick to repair a broken privacy/sun shade in the main room.
The location was awesome - quiet but with lots of activity (joggers, volleyball, dog walkers, bikes, in-line skaters) going on along the path just steps from the condo. The nearby park was a huge hit with our daughter and less than a 5 minute walk from the condo. Restaurants and grocery stores were a little far on foot with children in tow but no problem with a vehicle. The location of the condo relative to the city of San Diego was really ideal. Quick drive to get most places and traffic was never an issue.

We loved the location on the boardwalk of Sail Bay with easy access to main streets but without the noise. The unit was so bright & sunny as well as clean. Being as it is in a more residential area you do need to drive to restaurants & stores, but that was never an issue.
There was always some activity to watch from our balcony on the top floor as well as beautiful sunsets.
Although there were a few minor maintenance issues (like light bulbs etc.) that needed to be addressed, we had the best sleep ever on the comfortable king bed.

We enjoyed our stay at Jeff's Condo while in San Diego for a friends wedding. Nancy and her crew is very helpful and friendly with the minor things that do come up in the business.
The location was convenient to the major area attractions and you have your own parking space in the garage. The only downside was that it's a pretty good walk (beautiful, but relatively long) to restaurants. We solved this by using the nearby Henry's market and having great meals on the deck watching the bay. Probably healthier and more fun anyway.

The condo was very beautiful. The only issues I had were, I did not like all the lock-key every time going to the elevator, to the condo, combo locks, and keys, especially when carrying groceries. Also, the blinds did not work in the condo, since this unit gets western sun, it would have been nice to bring the shades down in the afternoon. The bay was so nice, and the condo itself provided everything one needed.

The service was good, however I did ask for a pack and play for my toddler and didn't receive one. Luckily we had brought our own just in case. Also, upon entering the garage for the first time, we were unable to open the key lock and had to call for assitance. The assistance was helpful, but wished we didn't have to call in the first place.
The condo was nicely furnished with very comfortable couches and plenty of them! The king bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the emenities we needed. However, the handle for the blind in the center window was broke off - not to be found, so we were unable to open the middle blind and enjoy the wonderful view.
The location was great. Was easy access to the beach with kids. Can go back to the condo at any time without having to pack up all your belongings. Great walks to other beaches and loved being on the boardwalk.
The top floor view was the best as well as being on the ocean. Least of all, there were a view fixes in the condo that needed some attention. Light burned out in the bathroom shower, blind, etc.

I liked the location of this apartment. It was right on the nice sandy beach which was great for kids. But my major complain is about cleanliness of the apartment. The bathroom and the kitchen were updated and very clean, but the problem was the stained and dirty towels and sheets! The master bedroom bedding was old and very worn out. It was a camel color with lots of lighter color stains. Some of the white hand towels almost looked gray. The dining table chairs were stained also... It was very overpriced for that reason but there were lots of updates in that house like TV, internet which was nice. Read more

This condo is only one year old and the sheets and towels were bought new then. However, my housekeepers did alert me to the fact that there were bleach stains on the very expensive 400 thread count sheets just before I left on my own vacation and I didn't have time to replace them then but I will do that this week (although I hate tossing out perfectly good and expensive sheets because of bleach stains!) The high quality white towels need to be bleached. They do get stains but they are NOT dirty! I'll replace those, too. I have already called the upholstery cleaner to clean the light beige dining chairs. Summer traffic is hard on everything and there is no time to clean upholstery between guests. We always give everything a thorough cleaning right after the 6 week summer rush. Nancy

The only thing we enjoyed was the 180 bay view, aside from that it was too much hassle getting into the condo and using the beach gear. It was supposed to be a fully equiped kitchen but it wasnt. We would definetly prefer a place that provides customer service on the premises. Read more
Response from Nancy's Vacation Rentals - 07/23/2010
We provide all our guests with a 24/7 phone number to call if they have ANY problems during their stay, while also providing a separate phone number to our tech guru that can solve any problems with the TVs, DVDs, WiFi or phone.
We pride ourselves on being extremely responsive and customer-satisfaction is our number one priority. While we do not live on the premises, we are not far away and run around to all our rentals on a regular basis.
This guest never called us about anything and only emailed to ask if they could stay an extra night (we said yes and gave her a 50% discount) and then if they could check out an hour late (again we said yes) and for help to find a toy that they thought they left behind (it ended up being packed in their belongings). This was their second stay in this building so it's even more puzzling to us why we never heard from them during their stay. We tried to follow up to see what we can do to better improve Jeff's Condo after receiving this review, but we have not heard anything back.
We manage 11 rentals in this very popular water front building and provide very detailed instructions for checking-in to the safe, private complex. It's one of our most popular locations and we've done our best to make each and every one of our guests' visits as enjoyable as possible.
If you're considering staying with us, please know that we can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week , and are always here to help in any way we can whether you find that the kitchen is missing a needed utensil, if you're having issues accessing the beach gear, or a question about checking-in at arrival.

We stayed over the 4th of July and the location was good and lots of fireworks to enjoy. The accomodations were clean and the owner/management were very responsive to our needs. The bed in the first floor bedroom is a bit soft but everyone else was happy with their bed accomodations. The location is very convenient to both the bay side as well as beach. Having two beach cruisers and two body boards were enjoyable for our sons.

The condo was comfortable and met our needs quite well. My husband and daughter rode bikes in the evening. She also enjoyed being able to walk right out to the bay from the condo. My favorite thing was looking out at the water in the early morning...just beautiful. It had everything we needed and more.

The condo is right on the beach of Sail Bay, with water activities going on all of the time...parasailing, eight man rowing teams, sail boats, paddlewheel boat...
The view of the bay is excellent and the condo is quiet for relaxing. Gas fireplace was nice for the cool nights. Bicycles were great to take around the boardwalk.

Great view! I loved waking up to the beautiful view!
they provide everything for you! even the shampoo!!!
We loved it so much we even chose to stay in on a Saturday night to BBQ on the patio and drink wine instead of heading out.
i would definitely stay here again!!!
