At best this condo is average, very outdated and in need of upgrading. What really topped off our week was the construction scheduled and performed while we were there. This meant that we couldn't open the windows and had the pleasure of the construction workers walking on the roof all day and on the scaffolding outside. Clearly not their fault, but clearly known to the management company who rented to us last minute and didn't bother to have the courtesy to mention this fact before taking our money. San Diego is a great city, this is not a company I will ever deal with again. Buyer beware !!!

We had a wonderful stay at Jeff's Riviera Condo on Mission Bay! The location was perfect and we very much enjoyed the convenience of the boardwalk right outside our door. Our family had lots of fun riding bikes every day! The condo was very clean and comfortable - perfect accommodations for my husband and I and our two young children! We will definitely return!

This is the second year that we've stayed at Jeff's Villa. We stay for 4 months, as we are able to conduct our Internet business from the condo. Even though the weather was much cooler than last year, we still had a lot of lovely days. The view from the condo can't be beat and the location allows us excellent access to the boardwalk where we can ride our bikes for miles. The furnishings are upscale and very comfortable. The staff at Nancy's Vacation Rentals are very friendly and helpful. To sum it up, Jeff's Villa provided us with a fabulous vacation.

We enjoyed our stay but had some issues with the rental unit itsef. Blinds had draw string issues, fireplace shut off wouldnt turn on, jacuzzi tub didn't work, grill was electric but no extension cord so working was another story, and lost internet and TV service for part of a day. They did a good job getting TV service restored but it did take a while. The rest of the amenities were just fine and the view was awesome.
Response from Nancy's Vacation Rentals - 11/18/2012
Manager
We're happy to hear that this guest enjoyed their stay overall and would like to thank them for taking the time to write a review and provide this valuable feedback. Some of these issues, like the blinds and missing extension cord for the George foreman electric grill (we are not allowed to have gas or propane grills on the balcony due to City Fire Ordinances), have already been taken care of and corrected. The jacuzzi tub is also a known issue (the jets/bubbles are not functioning) but it creates too much noise for the unit below and we will not be repairing it as the Owner has planned to remodel the entire bathroom to include a new tub and better soundproofing. We manage 12 different properties in this building and are happy to provide WiFi access from a different property in the future if experiencing down-time while waiting for our Tech Rep. We're only a phone call away at all times and are here to help ensure that our guest's have the best possible experience while staying at one of our properties.

Left on 10/23/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We've booked with Nancy's Vacation Rentals several times, staying in different units in the Riviera Villas building. This is our first time in Jeff's condo. As always, the booking process is easy and straightforward. In addition, Nancy's staff is very responsive to email questions. The Riviera Villas building is in a great location, especially for families. It is right on Mission Bay - walk out of the building, and you're on the beach, and the condo comes with beach toys, chairs, towels, and an umbrella. This is especially great for younger kids. Jeff's condo is quite spacious - between the Murphy bed in the living room and the king-sized bed in the bedroom, it can easily sleep up to 4 people. The kitchen is nice and well-equipped. Importantly, the views are great - top floor, southwest facing, with a complete view of Mission Bay down through Sea World. Internet and TV are included and functioned well. We really didn't have any major complaints and would highly recommend this unit.

Left on 09/07/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We recently stayed at Jeff's Riviera Penthouse Condo. First, the use of Penthouse is because it is situated on the top floor so toss out any luxury visuals you may have. We've stayed in condos across the country so we know what to expect.
Positives:
*Nancy and her staff are awesome, patient and very helpful
*Location is superb both from access to beach and logistically close to so many places on your itinerary.
Cons:
*Many items were not in proper working condition such as screen door lock broken, screen door couldn't close all the way, fireplace wouldn't light, jets didn't work in tub, hot water handle kept falling off, window shade is very difficult to move up and down, refrigerator drawer that doesn't move properly, the bicycles were in terrible shape, etc. No one of these was a deal breaker but it definately took away from our experience. However, it didn't stop us from having a good time.
*Too many beach neighbors (not in our building) liked to party when they returned home from the bars. With no ceiling fans or air conditioning, we were forced to either close the windows and sweat or listen to their antics. -

Left on 08/23/2012 for a stay in August 2012
This was the first time I had stayed on the far east side of Sail Bay. I had no idea how clean and quiet the area was. We loved it! But still very close to the hussle and bustle of the mission Beach area. Very easy to find and close to all freeways. The condo was fully-stock with everything, including sheets, pillows, towels and anything you would need for a week at the beach. Perfect. I hope to return next vacation to this location. The beach cruisers were a great addition! Thanks to Jeff for his condo and to Nancy's Rentals for setting it up. My biggest disappointment was that Pacific Beach has gone healthy. Hard to find a Dunkin Donuts! haha. But I lost 5 lbs by walking the beautiful boardwalk every morning.

The condo was in a perfect location. Away from the bustle of Mission Beach, yet close enough to walk or ride bikes. The condo was well stocked -- the kitchen fully stocked, plenty of towels and comforatble sheets, bathroom toiletries and sand toys/beach chairs/sunbrella/bikes. We wanted for nothing in the condo, other than a swimming pool when we were tired of sand. It was a great deal and a relaxing vacation.

Jeff's Riviera Villas Condo was absolutley wonderful! Not only was the view incredible, but the condo was very roomy and comfortable and it had all the conveniences of home. Being on the bay was much less crowded than other places on the ocean, and we loved walking on the path to go to breakfast! We did a lot of activities during the day, and it was always nice to come back and just kick back at the condo and enjoy the view and sitting on the deck. We wish we had the time to ride the bicycles that were available, but we just ran out of time.. We will look forward to staying here again, it was the perfect get away and Nancy's Rentals made everything easy. They were always available to talk or email with any questions or concerns that we had.

This condo was beautiful, comfortable furniture, fully stocked kitchen, King-size bed, fold-away Murphy bed in the living room, desk in the hallway, fabulous views from the balcony. This corner unit has something most of the other units in the building don't have--windows all the way down the south side with views out of every one. There are dimmable ceiling lights in every room. The location is great, right on the bay, mere blocks from great restaurants and grocery stores, and a massage school and center on Garnet ave.

Left on 08/29/2011 for a stay in August 2011
This condo is perfectly situated for exploration of Mission Bay, Mission Beach and the surrounding business district. Between the complimentary bikes and the terrific boardwalk, we were very connected with all the action of Mission Beach, while actually staying on the quieter, prettier Mission Bay. It was an easy walk or bike ride to groceries, many good restaurants, lots of fun bars and Mission Beach. We could have even easily ridden our bikes to Sea World!
The unit was fine for three of us. The kitchen was a little ... sticky. Everything is clean on the surface, but it needs a thorough deep cleaning and the oven is very finnicky. The bathroom needs some updating with wallpaper starting to peel and some grout that needs replacement. And the lighting system, with multiple switches and dimmers, is ridiculous.
All that said, the condo was a good value; the staff at Nancy's provided great service and prompt answers to the few questions we had. Any flaws are overcome by the great location. -

We were in San Diego for a few days with my 2-year old son. The condo was very comfortable, roomy, with a great view of the bay. Nancy's rentals were extremely timely in handling any issues that came up, i.e. a blown light-bulb in the bathroom. The only very minor complaint I had was that the shower curtain liner had mildew at the bottom, which I normally wouldn't care about except I was bathing my 2-year old in the tub. In general, it was a great rental that I would definitely look into again when we're back in San Diego.

There was limited room to put your clothes, one shelf in the closet, a few hangers and no chest of drawers. Had to purchase missing kitchen utensils, bottle and can openers. Some pots and pans had to be washed before using. The digital thermostat for the oven needs to be repaired. The tub filled with water within the first couple of minutes when showering.

Left on 06/29/2011 for a stay in April 2011
I would highly recommend this spot to any family vacationing with young kids. Nancy went out of her way to accommodate all the many baby/toddler needs (potty topper, bench, highchair, bassinet with sheets,...) and were quick to repair a broken privacy/sun shade in the main room.
The location was awesome - quiet but with lots of activity (joggers, volleyball, dog walkers, bikes, in-line skaters) going on along the path just steps from the condo. The nearby park was a huge hit with our daughter and less than a 5 minute walk from the condo. Restaurants and grocery stores were a little far on foot with children in tow but no problem with a vehicle. The location of the condo relative to the city of San Diego was really ideal. Quick drive to get most places and traffic was never an issue.
Would go back there if ever in SD again!

The location is very nice, quiet, and convenient area on Mission Bay, with great views. The unit itself had a variety of maintenance and cleanliness issues that were hard to overlook. Fixing the things that were broken and a thorough cleaning would be a good start. If you can look past the shortcomings you'll enjoy this condo. If not, you might want to look elsewhere.

We fired our cleaning company and hired a new one with cleaning supervisors that inspect. In addition, every cleaner has a cell phone that can take photos. Now they send us photos of any maintenance issues and we get them fixed as soon as possible. We also encourage our guests to let us know about any maintenance issues so we can take care of them immediately. Nancy

We loved the location on the boardwalk of Sail Bay with easy access to main streets but without the noise. The unit was so bright & sunny as well as clean. Being as it is in a more residential area you do need to drive to restaurants & stores, but that was never an issue.
There was always some activity to watch from our balcony on the top floor as well as beautiful sunsets.
Although there were a few minor maintenance issues (like light bulbs etc.) that needed to be addressed, we had the best sleep ever on the comfortable king bed.
This one bedroom condo was ideal for a couple with plenty of room & decorated nicely - had all the ammenities we needed. -

We stayed in Jeff's condo and found everything we needed for a great visit, including 2 beach cruisers to bike around the bay and over to the beach every day. The views from the balcony were beautiful and the kitchen was well appointed for making meals. The condo was very clean and comfortable, bedding and towels in excellent condition. Had no problem with garbage or recycling disposal and the laundry facilities are handy. The only suggestion would be to clean and oil the bikes as sand and wind are coroding them. We would certainly return here, hopefully soon!

Just a short note to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in Jeff's Penthouse apartment early October. The unit is very well equipped, the location calm and right on the water. Great for bicycling, walking on the beach and from the apartment one has indeed a splendid view over the beach and Bay. Super sunsets!

We enjoyed our stay at Jeff's Condo while in San Diego for a friends wedding. Nancy and her crew is very helpful and friendly with the minor things that do come up in the business.
The location was convenient to the major area attractions and you have your own parking space in the garage. The only downside was that it's a pretty good walk (beautiful, but relatively long) to restaurants. We solved this by using the nearby Henry's market and having great meals on the deck watching the bay. Probably healthier and more fun anyway.
Would love to visit again. -

The condo was very beautiful. The only issues I had were, I did not like all the lock-key every time going to the elevator, to the condo, combo locks, and keys, especially when carrying groceries. Also, the blinds did not work in the condo, since this unit gets western sun, it would have been nice to bring the shades down in the afternoon. The bay was so nice, and the condo itself provided everything one needed.

Left on 09/16/2010 for a stay in September 2010
The service was good, however I did ask for a pack and play for my toddler and didn't receive one. Luckily we had brought our own just in case. Also, upon entering the garage for the first time, we were unable to open the key lock and had to call for assitance. The assistance was helpful, but wished we didn't have to call in the first place.
The condo was nicely furnished with very comfortable couches and plenty of them! The king bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the emenities we needed. However, the handle for the blind in the center window was broke off - not to be found, so we were unable to open the middle blind and enjoy the wonderful view.
The location was great. Was easy access to the beach with kids. Can go back to the condo at any time without having to pack up all your belongings. Great walks to other beaches and loved being on the boardwalk.
The top floor view was the best as well as being on the ocean. Least of all, there were a view fixes in the condo that needed some attention. Light burned out in the bathroom shower, blind, etc. -

Left on 08/26/2010 for a stay in August 2010
I liked the location of this apartment. It was right on the nice sandy beach which was great for kids. But my major complain is about cleanliness of the apartment. The bathroom and the kitchen were updated and very clean, but the problem was the stained and dirty towels and sheets! The master bedroom bedding was old and very worn out. It was a camel color with lots of lighter color stains. Some of the white hand towels almost looked gray. The dining table chairs were stained also... It was very overpriced for that reason but there were lots of updates in that house like TV, internet which was nice.
Response from Nancy's Vacation Rentals - 08/26/2010
Manager
This condo is only one year old and the sheets and towels were bought new then. However, my housekeepers did alert me to the fact that there were bleach stains on the very expensive 400 thread count sheets just before I left on my own vacation and I didn't have time to replace them then but I will do that this week (although I hate tossing out perfectly good and expensive sheets because of bleach stains!) The high quality white towels need to be bleached. They do get stains but they are NOT dirty! I'll replace those, too. I have already called the upholstery cleaner to clean the light beige dining chairs. Summer traffic is hard on everything and there is no time to clean upholstery between guests. We always give everything a thorough cleaning right after the 6 week summer rush. Nancy

The only thing we enjoyed was the 180 bay view, aside from that it was too much hassle getting into the condo and using the beach gear. It was supposed to be a fully equiped kitchen but it wasnt. We would definetly prefer a place that provides customer service on the premises.
Response from Nancy's Vacation Rentals - 07/23/2010
Manager
We provide all our guests with a 24/7 phone number to call if they have ANY problems during their stay, while also providing a separate phone number to our tech guru that can solve any problems with the TVs, DVDs, WiFi or phone.
We pride ourselves on being extremely responsive and customer-satisfaction is our number one priority. While we do not live on the premises, we are not far away and run around to all our rentals on a regular basis.
This guest never called us about anything and only emailed to ask if they could stay an extra night (we said yes and gave her a 50% discount) and then if they could check out an hour late (again we said yes) and for help to find a toy that they thought they left behind (it ended up being packed in their belongings). This was their second stay in this building so it's even more puzzling to us why we never heard from them during their stay. We tried to follow up to see what we can do to better improve Jeff's Condo after receiving this review, but we have not heard anything back.
We manage 11 rentals in this very popular water front building and provide very detailed instructions for checking-in to the safe, private complex. It's one of our most popular locations and we've done our best to make each and every one of our guests' visits as enjoyable as possible.
If you're considering staying with us, please know that we can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week , and are always here to help in any way we can whether you find that the kitchen is missing a needed utensil, if you're having issues accessing the beach gear, or a question about checking-in at arrival. -

The bed in the first floor bedroom is a bit soft but everyone else was happy with their bed accomodations. The location is very convenient to both the bay side as well as beach.
