The location was important as I use to live in PB and wanted to be close and on the beach. The view was amazing from each room. While an older condo overall, the unit has had some nice updates. Nice for 1 couple might be tight for two.
Missed having a balcony. Pool was disappointing being in the back and in the shade most of the time.
There was a lot of police presence while there...a couple car thefts and a death of a homeless man out front.
Loved walking the board walk. Great restaurants within walking distance. Easy to drive to attractions.
Met some nice neighbors of the association.

This is our second trip to Mitchell's Ocean Point Paradise and it was another wonderful trip. The location couldn't be more perfect. Easy access to the airport and everything that you could possibly need. We spent most of our time just relaxing and enjoying the wonderful ocean view and the sound of the surf. It is a great complex and we will stay here again.

Overall a very nice place to stay. Good location right on the beach and windows opened very wide so you could have a nice breeze and hear and smell the ocean. Great view. Pool and hot tub were very nice. Clean in general but could use a thorough cleaning (i.e. there was hair and sand and dust behind and under beds/furniture and some of the dishes in cupboard were dirty or dusty). Bikes and boogie boards were in great condition! Beds were comfortable however the pull out sofabed was extremely uncomfortable so would not recommend staying if you have more than 4 people in your party. Washers and dryers worked very well. Nice updated kitchen. Building itself was a bit older than I expected given the rental fees and could use some renovation as far as plumbing/locks/etc. The customer service was very good and all of my questions were answered promptly and to my satisfaction. Also they were very flexible with dates of stay and arrival times.

We had never vacationed in San Diego and were a bit hesitant about renting "site unseen", but this condo turned out to be a very nice choice. The location was perfect and you can't get a better view. There were plenty of towels, beach accessories, bedding, and hot water for everyone. My only complaint was that it was a bit on the small side (particularly the bathrooms). Other than that, we were pleased with our stay.

This is one of the best locations on the beach. The condo building, however, needs work. The elevator worked part of the time, but not when we were leaving, so we had to carry all of our luggage down. The phone also did not work, so we could not answer our door. We were supposed to get in at 3 PM, but couldn't because they were still cleaning. We loved the location but the building needs work.

We absolutely loved staying at Ocean Point, with its view of the ocean, its access to the boardwalk and its proximity to so many favorite spots in the Pacific Beach area. We also loved the area with the hot tub and lounge chairs for sitting in the sun and reading on breezy afternoons. We enjoyed the unit's floor to ceiling windows, though we found the complete absence of a single easy chair, which we'd have appreciated, to be somewhat odd. Finally, the unit really needs a new coffee pot, as the lid on the existing one is partly broken and, on three different occasions, once the pot was turned on, the freshly-brewed coffee backed up into the filter rather than dripping down into the pot. Since one of the pleasures of travelling is eating out, we enjoyed meals at Bleu Boheme on adams avenue, Rappongi's in La Jolla (during Happy Hour when small plates are half price), Trattoria Ponte Vecchio in Del Mar, Rei do Gado downtown and -- our favorite -- Hexagone on Laurel Street in Little Italy. And, as always, we enjoy the convenience of shopping at Ralph's down the street and eating in.

Oh boy do I miss this place. This appartment made you feel like you were at home, it has every thing you need. Very nicely decorated / furnished. And the view of the beach from the windows was the best part. Going to sleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to the sound of the waves, amazing. Oh that's not all, the sunsets were brilliant, the surfers were brilliant and the dolphins were brilliant. Definatley a place I look forward to coming back to.
Great owners, we arrived when it was the state wide blackout, the owners were very thoughtful and had left us extra candles, torches and batteries. This was a nice touch. Very much appreciated. -

This was our second stay using NVR and again everything was perfect! Our condo was spotless clean which is very important to me. Right on Pacific Beach and the board walk, within walking distance (or short drive) to restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, shopping, and attractions. I love the fact that NVR remembers the little things like providing hand/dish/laundry/body/hair soap, plenty of clean fresh towels, and beach play toys. All was well stocked.
The only thing about the condo itself that I would change is the sun shade window coverings. Wish they would block out the PM sun/glare off the ocean, it was brutal. We dealt with it though. Minor detail compared to everything else, which was perfect.
We will not rent from anyone else in San Diego. You can truly trust that NVR will give you a wonderful place to stay. Wish they had rentals in other cities too! :) -

My husband and I took our 19 month old daughter and my mother with us and stayed in San Diego at this condo. It was a great setup, with beach toys our dauther could use, and right above the beach. We were only 4 miles from Sea World and had multiple days there, and it was great to be able to be so close. Being on the boardwalk was amazing, and we loved using the bikes and taking walks.

We stayed in this apartment in May. The location was great, view from the apartment was very good, we enjoyed it a lot. We also enjoyed the restaurants nearby.
But we were very disappointed with dirty dishes, stained bedding and a cockroach we once caught in the kitchen.

My husband and I and our two daughters stayed at this condo, and thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The condo was clean, had a small well stocked kitchen, and two nice sized bedrooms. The building was very quiet and relaxing (which we loved). There are buildings in the area that aren't so quiet, but this one has strict rules that are enforced to make sure that guests can relax and enjoy their vacation. We had a great time on the beach, bicycled on the boardwalk, and enjoyed many of the numerous restaurants in the area. We loved it.

The condo itself was awesome. Nicely furnished, clean, great view - pretty much amazing! There seems to be some conflict between the owners that live here and the vacation renters. Were were not so nicely told that our children were being too loud in the pool (2 & 5 years old). They weren't being quiet - they are kids but they weren't being terribly loud. It was only 7pm and we had only been in the pool for 15 minutes. The same owner got into a verbal argument with another couple at the pool so it generally left me feeling a little stressed about being there. That being said... if you don't have kids that make noise it would be fantastic. The location couldn't be beat!

We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. The condo was beautiful and had everything a person could need while visiting the Mission Beach area in San Diego. It's very spacious with spectacular views of the ocean from all rooms...great for watching sunsets. The condo was very clean and had all the needed kitchen equipment, dishes and wonderful linens & towels. It was nice to have the grill in the back patio for barbequing. Having access to laundry facilities on site was also a bonus. We enjoyed morning walks for coffee along the boardwalk while watching the waves and we appreciated having so many local restaurants, many with nice beachfront patios, all within walking distance. One day we used the bikes included at the condo for a ride to La Jolla. I would recommend this condo to anyone. Thanks for the great visit. Everything was fantastic!

Truely "Paradise"! This is the Ultimate Vacation Rental! What a special Treat to be able to look out at the Beautiful Pacific Ocean 24/7. As we watched the waves roll in, dolphins jumped playfully right out in front of the condo! It was exciting to observe "the locals" up & down the coastline- surfers, kiteboarders, sailboats, etc. What an exceptional location, we walked every where which was very refreshingly convenient for a vacation. We enjoyed the beach cruisers, that came free with the rental, as well as the beach chairs & boogie boards. Many afternoons we basked in the sun, walked barefoot in the soft sand, relished the beach which was literally steps from the condo. A couple of days, we ventured out to see the local sights, what a beautiful city! But each day we looked forward to getting back to our comfy home, to share a glass of wine & watch the sunset over the horizon! The condo was so luxurious, from quality linens to every item we needed, the owners had thought of. It was a joy to have two bedrooms & two bathrooms, from both we could lay in bed & look out at the Ocean. The soothing sounds of the waves rocked us to sleep peacefully each night. This vacation condo exceeded our expectations, it was everything on the website & more. Quality furniture, sophisticated colors, which all added to our delightful vacation week. We are already planning our next trip back to stay in this vacation rental, we are inviting another fun couple to join us. They are water people who will love the pool, hot tub, & ocean sports galore. We love the sunshine, the perfect weather of San Diego, & being in a beautiful condo that was our top-notch home, even if only for the week. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer, the time flew by too fast. Next time we are going to book a month long vacation so we can really soak up the California lifestyle! We highly recommend it with 5 stars as well as the joyful agency that handled our reservation accurately.

Our family of 6 stayed here for a week in February. We booked Mitchell's based on the location, the trip advisor reviews, and the fact that it had a pool and hot tub. The condo was perfect for us. Everything was well stocked, including spices, tea, coffee, sugar, and oil, as well as the bikes, boogie boards, coolers and beach items. We loved the area and the beach, and after touring around, feel it is the best area...not too busy , yet very close to everything.
The views and the sound of the crashing waves was delightful. The condo is clean and spacious, and checking in and out was very easy. We did encounter a small problem with the fridge, and the owner came to resolve it within an hour or so. The pool and barbeque area was quiet, but we didn't use it as much as we thought we would, probably because there was a maximum of 3 people allowed in the hot tub at one time and there were 6 of us. Yes, we did also hear footsteps from above, but not after 10pm, so it wasn't an issue for us at all. The beds were very comfortable, although my boys complained that the pull out sofa bed was not. It was great to have the laundry facilties, and we did not have to wait for any machines.
We would highly recommend this condo to anyone and would definately stay there again. -

The condo was immaculate and there were so many extras - like the bikes we enjoyed riding along the oceanfront path. The best thing about the condo was the view - all three rooms have floor to ceiling windows looking out at the Pacific. Waking up each morning to the view of surfers and dolphins was just spectacular! You can't help but relax.

The location of the condo is fantastic. The boardwalk is right outside and biking / hanging out in the neighbourhood is wonderful. Surfers are out all day and views from the condo are great. Our teen and tween loved and made great use of the boogie boards.
The condo is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. A pleasant surprise was to find the kitchen equipped with spices, foil wrap, oil & vinegar, laundry detergent, etc. Another nice touch was the information that Nancy sent to us a few days prior to our stay. It included details on the amenities in the neighbourhood. This was a nice touch that helped us to 'settle in' very quickly.
We especially enjoyed sleeping with the windows wide open and going to sleep listening to the waves and waking to the same sounds. How relaxing!
There was a problem with one of the bikes, and this was quickly addressed with a phone call to Nancy.
Why am I giving 4 stars and not 5? The swimming pool's rules aren't teen/tween friendly (no jumping in nor ball playing) and the hot tub is very small (max 3 people). A previous visitor commented on noise from the condo upstairs. We also encountered this - heavy footsteps mainly. Fortunately it was limited to the early evening, so it didn't present any real issues.
And just before bedtime and first thing in the morning I found myself wishing that I could go out on a balcony...
All in all this is a great place to stay! -

You couldn't ask for a better location, just north of the pier in Pacific Beach with an excellent view of the beach and boardwalk. The property was in excellent condition and nicely decorated. It had a nice layout with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms/showers. The unit also had 3 beach chairs and 2 boogie boards, and there were beach cruiser bikes available in the garage. In addition, the complex has a pool, jacuzzi and large lounge area with a barbeque. Check in was really simple and we only encountered a couple of very minor issues (no extra trash compactor bags and refrigerator ice maker wasn't working). We had a great time, and I would defintely stay here again.

The condo was perfect in every way. The location was ideal - truly ideal! Being able to walk out the door and down to the beach was what made the vacation truly relaxing and stress free. We did not have to deal with loading up the car, searching for a parking spot, worrying about what we forgot to pack, eating every meal out, etc., etc., etc. We were able to head to the beach for a few hours and then go in and prepare lunch in the comfort of the well-accommodated kitchen. We could be back on the beach in 20 minutes. The location was also perfect for access to San Diego proper. We were at Sea World in less than 10 minutes, downtown in about 15, and to Coronado Island in less than 20. Walking distance to the grocery store, drug store, various restaurants, coffee shops, and souvenir stores was great. The three banks of floor to ceiling windows in the condo, overlooking the boardwalk and ocean, were more than we ever expected and provided hours of entertainment. Dusk to dawn surfers were fun to watch, as were the dolphins that frequently put on a show right in front of condo. The condo was secure; we felt very safe at all times. We loved the fact that we had two separate bedrooms, allowing for varying morning waking times. If there were anything that could have made the vacation better, it would be to have one king sized bed available; however, our family of 5 slept comfortably. If you are debating between staying in the city or on the beach, don't hesitate to go this route. Be advised, though, you may have a hard time convincing your children to venture away from the beach to see the rest that San Diego has to offer!! This is truly a perfect location that makes for a perfectly relaxing family vacation.

Mitchell's condo was in such a prime location. Away from the main PB hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to anything you could want or need ( great food, shopping, groceries, CVS). Our 4 teen boys had great fun..surf lessons, renting wet suits and using the condo boogie boards, riding bikes. We had a shower drain & internet issue which were immediately addressed/fixed. Customer service was fantastic. thanks to Jeremy for the great restaurant recommendations! Condo views were spectacular as were all the ammenities that made arriving/staying so great (extra shampoo, shower gel, coffee, coupons and ideas for siteseeing, etc.) NVR made for a perfect trip. We loved our stay at the condo, great location, clean and nice extras (Cable, WiFi etc). The pool and the beach kept our kids plenty entertained. We only would have loved it had there been some blinds over the sun shades for night. The sun woke us all at 6am every morning - not nice when on holiday!

Blown away by the stunning view right across the front of the unit. Just right size for us and 2 small kids who could share a room. Loved 2 bathrooms, had fun decor and everything we needed. Upstairs neighbour had elephant feet but that just lasted for 1-2 hrs each night. Quiet building overall and the location great for beach exploring and walking to restaurants. Within 10-15 min drive of every local attraction. Pool was empty except for us. Bikes were great addition. Beach toys very helpful too! Would love to come back!

This lovely condo was a vacation paradise for me. The bike was an added bonus and I rode about 12 miles to the jetty and around Mission Bay. I liked the secure parking garage since I was traveling alone. There was so much activity on the boardwalk but it wasn't noisy. It's a short walk to some really good restaurants and a short drive to the roller coaster. I grew up in La Jolla and Clairemont so this was a central location to visit my friends. If you stay here make a trip to the Wildlife animal Park and go on the zipline. It was fantastic. I am 62 and I did it. Loved it! Everything about this cvondo and the people running it was wonderful and I will go back again. Thanks for a great time.
