Pacific Beach, San Diego, California
It doesn't get much better than this! 180 degree unobstructed views like this are hard to come by. Imagine yourself sitting at the waterfront dining table or on the balcony watching the action below on Sail Bay; water-skiers, catamarans, sail boats, outrigger canoe teams, kite-surfing. Or go down the elevator to join the people strolling on the boardwalk or ride the four provided beach cruiser bikes on miles and miles of paths along the bay and oceanfront.

The Hills
Barrie, Ontario, CanadaGreat place to stay!
Left on 04/26/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Great communication both over the phone and via email, very friendly and helpful.
The condo was very clean with a great kitchen, washroom/shower and view. The location was fantastic and just a short walk around the bay and you are by the ocean. If you would like a quieter time on the beach stay right on the beach in front of the condo. All attractions were very close to drive to such as Old Town, USS Midway, Petco Park, Outlet shopping, SeaWorld and the Zoo.
Nice touches with all the supplies available including the beach chairs, bikes, grocery savings card for Ralphs, Wi-Fi and secured parking.
Sensor hallway entrance light could use a few more seconds.
Balcony has no privacy between neighbors.
Walls and ceiling are thin for sound and the bedroom is located close to elevator for early morning noises.
Would be nice if a second small couch was in living room area so 2 people could relax after a long day.
None of the above were to the point that we would not book again and hopefully for a full 2 weeks next year. -

We had a wonderful two week stay in the condo. It was in perfect condition and we had no problems with the flat at all.
The location is superb for San Diego, the condo views are stunning and the whole experience was something we will never forget. I cannot recommend it enough. -

Had a great time. Perfect location for all the things we had on our agenda. All the codes for the garage, etc. seemed intimidating at first, but once we got there, it was easy to follow. Suggestions: lose the rugs on the carpet; they just slide and create a trip hazzard. Also the motion sensor light in the hallyway could use a little more time before it goes out.

Colleyville, TXLovely Condo with Incredible Sunsets overlooking Mission Bay
Left on 02/10/2013 for a stay in January 2013
The condo is very nicely furnished with a lovely and well displayed seashell collection in the living room. Since it was cooler than normal for San Diego, the fireplace was used the first few evenings to take the chill off. We purchased a butane fire lighter & left it on the mantel. A few days later, we found one in the cabinets above the refrigerator, but it did not work, so it was thrown out. Please check the gas key as it slipped around and others may not realize that the gas is not completely turned off. Also check the battery in the remote control of the Teac sound system.
The kitchen was well equipped and included a block of knives, which when sharpened with the steel, worked quite well. The George Forman grill was very nice, easy to clean, and worked better than expected, since we normally cook on a charcoal Weber kettle and/or a natural gas grill. There was even a tool chest with screw drivers and allen wrenches, which we found quite handy for tightening the electrical plug for the George Forman grill and to re-install the toilet paper holder during our stay.
The torchiere lamp in the living room was not originally plugged in, so it was moved to illuminate the picture as shown in the photo. Our biggest issue was the area rugs on top of the carpet which became wrinkled and posed a tripping hazard.
The instruction for directions to the condo as well as how to get into the parking garage and building were very good.
We really enjoyed the balcony and the incredible sunsets each night. We would recommend Nancy's Riviera Villa condos for San Diego visitors as the location is very convenient for the many activities in the area. We hope to rent Nancy's apartment in Paris in the future.

Left on 02/05/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We loved the location and found the condo to be very clean and well supplied with everything one might need. We loved the view of the bay and enjoyed watching various water sports from kayaking to water skiing. We loved the access to the beach bikes and rode for miles on the path everyday. We also enjoyed the easy access to restaurants, downtown and many of San Diego's attractions. The entrance and exit instructions were very explicit and helpful. We will definitely recommend this location to our friends.

Left on 01/01/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We had a wonderful time at this condo. We were amazed on all that was included and supplied with the rental. The view was fantastic.
The location was great. Easy to get to and close to places we wanted to go to. Parking was good.
All the instructions were helpful. We often referred to them.
Areas of improvement: the bedding (sheets, blankets, spread) could be more up to date. They seemed old and gave you a feeling of not being clean.
Neighbors next door were smoking on their balcony. We thought smoking was not allowed. This bothered us.

Calgary, Alberta, CanadaNine wonderful days in San Diego
Left on 11/20/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We loved this condo. It is right on the beach and the boardwalk on Sail Bay. The view is beautiful at all hours of the day and most of all in the evening as the sun is setting. The condo is large (can accommodate 4) , the beds are comfortable and the location can't be beat. We were close to Sea World, downtown San Diego, La Jolla and other attractions in the area. If you are travelling further afield, the Interstate is close by as is the lovely route by the ocean.
When we checked in, we initially had trouble getting on to the Wi Fi network. Nancy returned our call quickly and the issue was resolved.
Also, we welcomed the very detailed email we received before arriving which gave us detailed information about checking in to the condo building and the suite as well as information about the suite itself.
We will definitely stay here again when we return to San Diego and will recommend this condo to our friends. Finally, we want to say that we definitely got good value for the cost of the condo. It averaged $200 a night.
Re suggested improvements - the area rug over the main rug in the living room is getting rumpled and is easy to trip on especially for young children. We suggest removing or replacing it. But this was a minor issue. Also, a slightly bigger table on the balcony would be nice. The very small one that is there now is not big enough for a meal.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

St. LouisGreat alternative to staying on the ocean
Left on 10/08/2012 for a stay in October 2012
When I called around and looked on the internet for an oceanside rental, Nancy's recommended a Mission Bay condo. They were right in that it was nice, at night, seeing the lights across the bay, where at the ocean you just see . . .darkness. The staff was very helpful, and sent great directions for our stay prior to our arrival - including recommended restaurants and stores in the area. The condo was a great jumping off point for where we wanted to go, i.e. downtown San Diego, the waterfront, Torrey Pines, Point Loma and Coronado, etc. We esp. liked the bikes provided, and we got a lot of use out of them since so many things are close by. We would recommend The Eggery for breakfast at Pacific Beach and Mission Blvd., and the Barefoot Grille & Lounge at the Paradise Resort on Vacation Isle, just adjacent to our Boardwalk. The only thing we didn't like was no air conditioning in the condo. However, in the evening things cooled down enough that it was comfortable sleeping. You had to leave the windows open, however, and that brought in some outside noise on occasion. All in all, a great experience and we would go back again.

Since we are return visitors, I want to thank you so much for your continued dedication to excellence. The decor is exceptional for a vacation rental. The bed is so comfortable.
The balcony overlooks quiet Mission Bay. The sky was so clear and cool we stayed outside until 3 a.m. My personal favorite.
The itinerary with directions was very helpful. We had an extremely peaceful and restful stay. We look forward to another return visit. Best regards, Diane Hake -

Left on 07/24/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The accommodations are five star. When I was having wifi problems I got a tech call back in less than 5 minutes. That's great service.
To desert dwellers from Phoenix, sitting up three stories and watching the boats and people on Sail Bay was absolutely awesome. We spent hours, morning noon and night. Oh, at night, you can see paddle wheel ferries all lit up, and the lights and roller coaster at Belmont Park.
Pacific Beach is an easy walk and while sitting on the beach a pod of four dolphins actually swam by only a hundred feet from the shore!

The location was nice, located directly on the bay side. You must walk, ride bikes or drive to restaurants. We found the unit to be nicely done with the kitchen the most updated with new appliances. We didn't like the bed in the master bedroom, so we all slept in the murphy since the breeze from open patio door was necessary to keep the condo cool. This is very secure location and the ease to access was great. Location to SeaWorld, Old Town, La Jolla & Del Mar is wonderful. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This is a beautiful condo with all the amenities - even two types of coffeemakers (I like a french press and they had one!) - and an amazing view! It is steps to the Mission Bay Beach and Park and a 3 minute walk to the ocean. Whenever I had a question and I phoned, I was so pleased to have a live person answer, ready and available to help! This is a wonderful place to enjoy your San Diego vacation on the Bay!

Left on 05/01/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We are so happy we happened upon this condo for our stay in San Diego. It was nothing short of perfect. The condo came fully stocked with everything we could have wanted. Our two year old started referring to it as our "new home" or our "beach home" and throughout the week said he didn't want to go back to our "old home." The location of the condo couldn't have been better. We didn't expect to be able to make use of the bikes, because we didn't have a child seat, but we happened to meet the owner of #205, who said we could use his bike with child seat for the week. This really made our trip extra special, as we were able to bike everywhere. It's so nice having the bike path on the bay and along the ocean. We were able to bike up to La Jolla and down to Sea World and Ocean Beach. Our bike trip to La Jolla was one of our all-time best experiences. We will definitely be staying at Nancy's Riviera Villas when we return to San Diego.

Beautifully located and appointed. Relaxing, but aesthetically stimulating. Early morning calmness of the Bay greeted us daily and gorgeous sunsets ended our days. The weather was great.
I graded down Ease of check-in, but it was probably partly my fault. I didn't study the instructions as well as I should have. Maybe a little more emphasis could be placed on the importance of following all the steps for gaining access. -

We absolutely loved our stay at this condo. The decor is a little dated and but the king size bed was unbelievably comfortable (best bed we've ever slept in at a rental). The amenities were great and we really enjoyed using the free bikes every day. Loved this condo building because of the sunshine (morning to night) which was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we will actually consider buying in the area in the future.
Note: Don't miss dinner at The Piatti in La Jolla - most romantic courtyard and amazing food & service! -

Very nice condo. Well appointed and comfortable with outstanding view. This is a fhird level condo. The access is a little complicated using both keys and electronic openers. The access to the elevator is pretty important for getting luggage and food up to the condo. The elevator was not usable for a day or two when we stayed. The bay, beach and walking path is very nice and we used it extensively. The weather was great. Thanks for letting us stay.

Our experience was entirely positive, professional and experienced people at Nancy's Vacation, friendly and helpful in every way.
Style of Decor not our favorite but apartment so comfortable, clean and well equipped that we settled in quickly and liked very much.
The bed in bedroom had very comfortable mattress, but room tended to get a bit stuffy (we didn't open window at night, as there was a young family staying close by who started early in the morning and children ran by that window noisily,so, after initial recovery from JetLag we moved to the "Murphy bed" in the living room. Mattress less comfortable but lovely to wake to the sunrise and ocean outside. Good storage space available.
Kitchen very well stocked, except for wine glasses, just a couple of odd and plastic ones which we didn't like. Cooking facilities, and everything you would need for all home cooking.
Easy to avail of wash room. The TV control did not seem to have a "Menu" button which made choosing TV program very frustrating but apart from that, we enjoyed the fire at night and the view all day. Loved stepping onto the beach, providing beach chairs would be a nice addition to facilities offered. Shopping and sights are all convenient. Internet and telephone reception can be temperamental within the apartment. All in all, having learned the quirks of the place we would be happy to return, I would probably donate wine glasses next time... -

Left on 11/16/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This was our third extended stay in Nancy's apartment and it gets better every time. The apartment has just been upgraded (with refurbished kitchen and bathroom) and is a great place to stay> It is very comfortable, has every facility we would ever ask for and is very conc=venient for shops, restaurants and and other amenities. The beach is only a step away and the views out from the huge picture windows and balcony over the beach and bay are really superb (there is always something interesting going on)and the sunsets have to be seen to be believed.

Albany, NYConvenient Location
Left on 09/30/2011 for a stay in September 2011
My husband and I stayed in Nancy's Condo in early September to attend our son's wedding. The accommodations were good and the condo was quite spacious for 900 sq ft. The unit was well stocked with paper products, detergent and other cleaning supplies so we didn't have to purchase them as we've done in the past when staying in other rentals during our visits. I especially liked the convenient his and her sinks when your sharing only one bathroom. The check-in process with all the locked boxes was a bit frustrating because we arrived at 11:00 pm due to flight delays, it was dark and it took us a while to get into the unit. The view from the condo balcony was fabulous and the kitchen had everything you need for cooking and entertaining. Better attention could have been payed to cleaning the tile floors as my husband's white socks were quite dirty after walking around on them. In addition, I was disappointed to see the wall to wall carpeting in the lovely living/dining room areas had what appeared to be recent dirt tracked in that could have easily been cleaned before our arrival. We really enjoyed walking on the path along the bay and watching the sailboats. Also, it was only 10 minutes from our son's apartment which was very convenient for us. The wedding was fabulous and so was our stay.

We stayed in Nancy's condo in august/11-two years ago we stayed in Jeff's condo. We love the location - close to everything and a beautiful drive down to LaJolla and DelMar. Nancy's condo is beautiful and kitchen is fully stocked. The condo came with 2 bikes and Nancy was kind enough to round up another one for our son - we used the bikes every morning. We'll be back in another 2 years and this time would stay for 2 weeks rather than one.

We had a fabulous holiday, thank you Nancy! The condo had absolutely everything we could need. My husband and I slept on the murphy bed in the living room and gave the bedroom to our teenage daughters because we rise early in the morning and they like to sleep in a bit. I was a bit apprehensive but the murphy bed was pretty comfortable. I loved waking early and watching the water skiers in the bay. We walked to Pacific Beach every day, and we loved riding the bicycles. Thanks for everything!

Every morning and every evening we were amazed by the view from our balcony. What a way to drink morning coffee and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The condo was clean, comfortable and everything except for groceries and toothpaste was supplied. We were a bit worried about the lack of air conditioning, but found the night breezes were cool and we slept fairly well. Noisy at times from the activity of neighbours, but not too bad.

Left on 08/02/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We have vacationed in San Diego for 40 years and have stayed on Sail Bay many times, but this was our first experience with Nancy's Vacation Rentals.
The condo was clean and very comfortable. It was well equipped with towels and linens and the electric grill worked better than expected. We brought 2 grandchildren along and they could have spent the entire week right on sail bay. They rode the bikes, played on the beach, paddle boarded, rode segways, flew kites and I must confess ... toasted marshmallows in the fireplace. They also watched the Sea World fireworks from the roof. They can't wait to return next year.
We had two problems during our stay. A flat tire on a bike and someone dumping sand in the washer and dryer. We called the number given to us and both issues were taken care of in a very timely manner! The information packet from the management company contained valuable information and maps for restaurants, grocery stores and attractions.
We will be back. -

This was our first trip to San Diego and we will definitely be coming back and staying at Nancy's Condos. The location was perfect! Right on the beach and close to many attractions. We loved walking on the boardwalk beside the beach to the local coffee place (Crown Point Coffee). Our unit was very comfortable. Our son slept in the master bedroom where his crib could have privacy, and we slept on the murphy bed by the glass patio doors. It was amazing to wake up looking at the ocean and the bed was so comfortable! Nancy also provided recommendations for food and groceries which was very helpful. Taco Surf was our favourite. Amazing vacation. Thanks for all your help Nancy!

My wife and our one-year old daughter stayed at Nancy's condo for five nights. We actually wanted the stay a little bit longer but the condo wasn't available for the rest of the month. The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The view at sunset is amazing. The location is excellent and it is much quieter than the ocean front places. Plus it is only a short walk around the bay to get to the ocean. Nancy's VR sent us in advance many useful information, including a list with great restaurants in the neighborhood. We tried quite a few of them and they were all as advertised.
I definitely recommend this condo and we would stay there again! -

We had a wonderful experience while staying at Nancy's on Mission Bay. This apartment is immaculent and the location is perfect. We spent four nights here and never felt so relaxed. The view from our balcony was stunning as we watched sailboats and beachgoers parade by as the sun was setting in the distance. The apartment is within walking distance of everything that Pacific Beach has to offer. We enjoyed dining out a couple of nights but it was certainly nice to cook our own meals after a quick stop at the local Trader Joes. The only problem with this vacation is that it was too short. Next time we plan to stay longer.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Diego. Nancy's condo was so conveniently located that we did not need to use the car much (and avoided California traffic). A highlight was riding the provided beach cruisers around the Bay boardwalk, connecting to the ocean boardwalk and exploring the many other bike paths offered. We rode to Ocean Beach a couple of times to view the surfers and watch the waves crash on rocks. After a day of fresh ocean air, it was relaxing to return to the condo, open the patio doors and watch water activity, such as the high school rowing team or a sailboat. Sunsets were fabulous. In the condo, we were spoiled with updated appliances, beautifully remodeled bathroom and a very comfortable Tempurpedic bed. I usually have problems sleeping away from home, but not here! Nancy and her crew were readily available any hour of the day. We were having difficulty connecting to the internet and they kindly helped us troubleshoot the problem. I definitely recommend this rental property and if we were to return to San Diego, we would like to return to this condo. My only regret was having to leave this place to return to reality in the cold midwest!

Condo was terrific and very comfortable, we enjoyed the new kitchen. We arrived late one evening and were on East Coast time, so found the check-in process cubersome, but finally got in. We were a little worried before we got to the condo -the common areas and elevator were dated. Enjoyed bikes - could get straight on the beach from the garage where they were kept. Location was very convenient to everything that we did while we were in San Diego. Overall, was a great place to stay and we would stay there again!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Nancy's condo on Sail Bay. The location is great, right out the back of the building to the bay, which has an excellent walking/jogging track all around it. Sunsets were beautiful! The property is not overly large, but great for a couple. The Tempurpedic bed was extremely comfortable, and the building is not at all noisy, so sleeping was easy! Boyfriend and I went and stayed 2 nights for Valentine's day. Overall we had a wonderful time. Got lucky with good weather the first day and a little rain the seond. Check-In was definately a little bit hectic. There was no keys in the assigned box to enter the structure but the back up keys were there in another box. We used that and when we arrived at our parking spot we were supposed to have a key for our room, we didn't. I called the Vacation Rentals and they told me we were stuck in the parking structure so the boss would call me back. There was a side door open so we went that way to the beach and my boyfriend hopped a fenced and opened it. Nancy called me and told me we didn't even need a key-just the code to enter and assured me we definately were not stuck. So we enter and it is everything plus more than we imagined. We spent most of our time on the balcony. The view was so special we slept in the pull out bed in the living room. Unfortunately there was a long womans hair on the comfy bed that kind of threw me off. You pay for cleaning but are supposed to clean the counters, do the dishes, and take out the trash? Overall it was nice. Thanks for sharing this beautiful property with us.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere! The new kitchen and bathroom were very nice! The view is a dream...just waking up to it each morning and watching the sunset each evening was breathtaking. We hope to return for an extended stay in the future. My wife and I stayed in your condo over the weekend and we could not have had a better time. Your condo was fantastic! It was very clean and comfortable. We felt right at home. The view and the location could not be better. Within just a few minutes we are able to drive to Balboa Park, the Gaslamp district and Sea World, located right around the corner. But what we enjoyed most was being able to just sit and relax while looking out over the calm water and biking along the bay on the walkway located right outside the complex. We would recommend this condo to anyone and will definitely be back.

Our week in San Diego was cloud covered & dreary. Having a place like Nancy's to stay at made the weather insignificant. We relaxed more than we ever have on vacation. The condo is nicely laid out & homey. Having the beach trail right outside the door was great, biking was super. The bed was extremely comfy. "The Throne" is an experience in itself. We had 2 requests that were handled promptly. The staff is very helpful & friendly.

This was our second stay at Nancy's Riviera Villas condo and it was just as good as the first. The condo is comfortable and well-equipped with fabulous views over Sail Bay: the sunsets have to be seen to be believed!
The condo is well situated, with Mission Bay beach a stroll away and a large range of shops and restaurants within easy reach. We had a minor problem with the plumbing during our stay, but this was dealt with very quickly and effectively by Nancy's team. All in all it is a perfect place for a superb vacation -

The mission Bay condo in Riviera Villas is absolutely the perfect place to stay in San Diego! Mission Bay was beautiful and the condo is conveniently right on the beaches. We could take the elevator down and walk right out onto the sand. Also, the condo is in a good location for San Diego because it did not take us long to get anywhere...La Jolla, Seaport Village, and the Gaslamp Quarters were all about a 10 mins. drive. Sea World is even closer! The community was quiet and so we were able to really soak up our stay by sitting out on the balcony or laying out on the beach. The view is beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay...especially since it was our honeymoon! We will definitely stay here the next time we are in San Diego...which we hope is sooner rather than later!

Left on 09/09/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We only wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment is full of home comforts which makes it very easy to cook at home. Despite two days of June Gloom in august we made the most of the easy access to the beach. Couldn't manage to use the bikes one seemed to be jammed, but that may have been our ignorance. As we couldn't get access until Saturday, but had to leave early Friday we did not get full value for our weeks rent, but it meant a night staying in the Old Town which was fun.

New Berlin, WINice experience with a couple warts
Left on 08/14/2010 for a stay in August 2010
This condo unit on the 3rd floor, #303, was nice but the blinds were broken and could not be closed. This was a problem for our daughter who was sleeping in the Murphy bed and and had to put up with the morning light.
2nd wart was the plumber who was called to service someone else's condo at 11:30 pm. The condo association supposedly has a rigid quiet time as of 10:00 pm but we had to listen to this Jack#ss have a loud conversation on his cell phone just before midnight, right outside our bedroom window. Plus you could hear him echoing all over the place as he was dragging equipment throughout the place. I told this guy to take his act elsewhere, so he sniffs at me like I'm the one with a problem, walks 20 feet down a hallway and is just as loud as before. We complained to Nancy's Rental and were told that this would be addressed but certainly too late to avert that situation.
Now, it's not as if it's all bad. Really, the place is nice, overlooks Sail Bay, right over the boardwalk. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves just watching the people on the boardwalk and the interaction of the dogs. Hilarious. It's very conveniently located to everything. However, that king-size bed they tout is hard as a rock. I felt like I was sleeping on concrete. Below ground parking in the garage was convenient. They say two cruiser bikes are available but one of them is in poor shape and should be replaced. -

We stayed one week at Nancy's Riviera Villa #303 in June and found the condo well maintained and with a great peaceful view of the bay. Had a little trouble with the security system on arrival but when we called for assistance got an immediate response. There were some unexpected repairs on the building limiting access to parking and Nancy was again very responsive and allowed a discount due to this unanticipated problem which we appreciated. We would stay at Nancy's again.

I visited San Diego in the summer of 2010 together with my parents. We were highly satisfied with the apartment which was provided by Nancy's and also the way this Condo Managers treat their guests - very family-like and sympathetic ! We are Germans who came all the way from Europe to stay in San Diego for 10 days and this apartment was wonderful and I can recommend it right-away without any concern !
Only I would like to swim in the Pacific (Mission Bay is not a problem to swim in) but unfortunately the water was too cold in the Pacific :-) So go surfing there or swim in the Bay !
Go there !
Cheers from Germany.. -

This lovely condo was situated in a great location for the experience we wanted. We enjoyed the bay, rode bikes along the beach, rented Wave Runners and a speed boat nearby. We also spent one day at Sea World down the road. Safe area and clean, neat accommodations. Didn't like the bat rays in the bay, but it comes along with the territory sometimes! Great fun!

We stayed in Nancy's condo on the third floor. Furnishings were wonderful, we enjoyed the view out on the balcony every day. Loved using the beach bikes. Nice quiet location, yet within walking or biking distance to the ocean. Also liked the secured building access and underground parking. For the price, it can't beat!

Calabasas, CAGreat condo!

-The condo is gorgeous, looking out right out on the bay.
-Great communication from the owner/lessor makes it very easy to check in and out, and take advantage of all the amenities of the apartment and the neighborhood.
-Comes with bikes which are great for riding around on the strand circling the bay.
-Building is very secure.
-I don't think it shares a wall with another unit, so noise is not much of an issue, but a young child running around in the unit above was very audible. -

These condos are located right on the bay and are wonderful for anyone who likes to go for walks. The condo was clean and nicely appointed with a great view. Other than a little complication with the lock boxes on check in, everything else went very smoothly. The staff is very responsive to any problem that arises. The only complaint I would have is that the walls/floors are not well insulated so if you have a heavy walker or loud talker you will hear the noise. I would definitely stay here again.

TucsonA Condo that is like the window on the world!
Left on 05/28/2010 for a stay in September 2009
Coming for arizona, we are looking for our annual "water fix." We have rented this same condo about five times. What better recommendation could one give.
In the mornings we sit on the third story balcony early in the morning with our coffee and watch several boats of
8-person skullers practicing their sport with a commmand boat shoutng instructions.
Then the morning people come out to do their exercise thing since the broad walkway cirlcles the bay. There are walkers, joggers, bikers, inline skaters, skate boarders, and just plain old strollers.
During the day one can watch kayakers, canoers, wind surfers, surf board paddlers, sailboats, and water skiers.
One weekends there is usualy a regatta to watch and during the week lessons are being given on small sabots.
During the day and later in the afternoon, one can watch several volleyball games. Geez, these kids are good in the sand. Ha!
In the evening there are more walkers with their dogs, or just romantic couples strolling the bay.
In the distance one can see the roller coaster in an amusement park and then also the downtown lights, plus the bridge to Coronado Island and the naval ships in the harbor.
So...you can either sit and watch the world go by all day or take part in the fitnes world. What a wonderful place to stay.

Left on 05/26/2010 for a stay in May 2010
The unit is older but kept up well. It is a non-smoking unit but people in units directly below and over 1 as well as same level and next to us on our right side as we look out at the bay were smokers..and would smoke cigars and cigarettes on their balconies. These units are small enough that non-smoking should include the balcony. Everytime we tried to leave our sliders open we could immediately smell their cigarettes and smoke and so we had to close out unit up to prevent the smoke smell from wafting in. That was a pain. Someone also threw the lower lock and so our code wouldn't work upon our arrival so we spent maybe 1.5 hrs in the
hallway outside the front of the unit with groceries waiting until we could get help and unlock the bottom lock that needed an actual key. That lock should be removed and just a handle plus the keycoded entry would be better. Would also prefer a regular toilet seat without the heat and other parts..Other than a rough start and the smokers surrounding us..the view was beautiful. We also had a small earthquake which brought back memories. We left Ca in 1995 to live in Las Vegas and don't have the shakers much there. The view is the best thing about that area on Sail Bay. And Seaforth boat rentals too! -

Although it was a bit of squeeze for a family with two teenagers, it was a lovely and comfortable spot for a vacation. All the amenities were great, the master bedroom was super comfortable, and the off-street parking was a real plus. The best part of it was the location right on the water. You could have coffee on the balcony, then go out and join the walkers, joggers and cyclists... and later unwind on the beach.
