Matthews, NC, United StatesGreat Place to stay on Mission Beach
Left on 04/30/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We just recently returned from our second stay at 3703 Ocean Front Walk. It is a perfect place for the two of us. We love having the ocean front view. Good places to eat are close by or an easy walk. I hope we can return before the year is over.

If you're looking for luxury, look elsewhere. If you want a reasonably-priced stay in a perfect spot on Mission Beach, this is it. On the beach, equidistant(about a mile)from Belmont Park and Pacific Beach (both of which are more crowded and touristy), this condo offers all the upside of beachfront without the hassle of crowds. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The nearest grocery store is about a mile walk, as well. In addition, it's about a 3-block walk to Mission Bay where you can rent paddleboards, jetskis, etc.

You couldn't ask for a better view and location for the price. The apartment is nice with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Nice size living room and dining area. Kitchen is a little tight but worked great. Great little deck with a amazing view. The apartment and furnishings have seen better days but for the cost its still a great deal. Apartment also came with a garage that made the deal even better due to limited parking in the area. I would stay here again.

Left on 02/20/2013 for a stay in February 2013
The location was awesome, with large windows and a balcony on the boardwalk, not with just a "view", but as close as you can get to the beach. This unit was obviously less expensive than some of the other properties I looked it. The condition is older. Everything was clean and fine, but you should just have expecatations that the unit is not a 4-star hotel. One of the bathrooms is really tight. But everything worked just fine for us, we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The unit had a bedroom with a queen, another bedroom that had a full and two twin beds, a pull out couch and two other couches. So there was plenty of room for people to sleep. We would rent it again.
They would not let us check in even a minute early, and would not give us a spot to leave our bags, but we managed. Nor would they let us park in their extra front office parking spot while we waited.
There is room in the garage for 1 car. We had a 2nd car in our group, and we found a spot close by on the street that worked fine.Response from San Diego Vacation Rentals - 02/20/2013

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We appreciate your business and we are very sorry that we were unable to accomodate an early checkin. On the day you arrived we had a guest check out that morning and we need to have the time to clean the unitto be sure that it is ready for the next guest. There are times that early check ins will work out and other times they don't and we apologize it was this case for you. We always like to let people know this is our ECONOMY unit, nothing fancy like you said but in comparison toanother two bedroom on Oceanfront Walk it prices so very well. Unfortunately parking in Mission Bay is always a challenge, therefore we must keep our parking spots for customers inquiring about rentals. Some of our units have parking for two or more cars but this oneonly has the one garage. Liability reasons are why we cannot keep luggage in our office and we are very sorry this was a inconvience as we like to be accomodating to all of our guests in the best ways possible.

Left on 02/03/2013 for a stay in January 2013
The location is absolutely perfect. A few things detract from the overall experience: the property is in a rather dilapidated state - crumbling tile in the bath, slapdash caulking, wavy floors, inoperable/damaged windows and shades (one window cannot be locked, and is accessible from outside), corroded plumbing fixtures, decrepit pots and pans, a dishwasher that isn't fastened down and soon to start leaking, half the TV channels are fuzzy, and uncomfortable-in-any-weather vinyl couches. That said, the beds were good, and the staff was friendly.

Left on 10/15/2012 for a stay in October 2012
WE rented 3 property's for a family reunion and we all would come back again, we had great a great time and locations are great for adults and children all on the beach and not far from the Boardwalk and great food and fantastic sunsets from the decks. THANK YOU to all the staff for the help we received putting our reunion together, it is not easy finding a company that will spend time with you on the phone to make plans to accommodate 22 people trust me I called a lot of company's before finding yours, and it was all they said it would be. THANK YOU again for making our stay wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay last weekend. The only thing that bothered me was the cooking utensils. The pots and pans are aweful. The teflon on the pans are peeling off with caked on yuck. It would be worth it to your guests to spend a little money and stock the kitchen with good pots and pans as well as a set of bowls. When you spend the money on a place, people want to stay in and cook. Thanks for considering!

When I arrived on Sunday the rental had not been cleaned. It took over four hours until the people finished and the unit was cleaned. Given a chack-in time of 3:00 PM I lost most of that first day. Other than that the stay was good

Left on 04/17/2012 for a stay in March 2012
This property has a fantastic location. Unfortunatly the rental was in need of repairs. The main bathroom door was broken, screens fell off the windows and the rolling glass door came off its hinges. I know it was an economy rental, but economy is not synonymous with rundown to me. We also were not allowed into our rental for an additional 1.5 hours due to late cleaning. They did a great job cleaning but we wanted to get in so we could start our vacation.
On the good side, the property management group was very professional and responsive at all times and the location was great. Nice area of the beach, nearby shopping and restaurants and close to the things we wanted to do. -

This is a very basic condo, but was perfect for our needs. The location couldn't be better! On the beach and only 5 minutes from Sea World, plus a few blocks from a grocery store. Having two bathrooms was also a plus.

This rental property is all about Location. Great view! Steps from the beach but above the boardwalk so all the people walking by are not looking in your window. Loved the sounds of the ocean and the people watching. The condo was clean however it is older. There is a reason there are no pictures of the bathrooms online. The saltwater air has not been kind to them, but I repeat it was clean! The beds were comfortable and the living room was spacious. Loved the big fuzzy blankets to curl up under on cool mornings. We had 3 young girls staying in the bunk room and the blinds were broken so they were uncomfortable changing - we had to hang towels on the windows. One blind was also broken in the living room, you could still put it down but difficult to put it all the way up so that you could enjoy the view. Kitchen had almost everything we needed but need to leave some ant spray under the sink for when the sand ants come to visit. BBQ didn't get very hot so took very long time to cook our steaks. We had a 5 day 'Go Sandiego Card' and we were a short drive to any and every attraction we could imagine. (be sure to get GPS) This is a great value for a property right on the beach with indoor parking (make sure to get nothing bigger than a mid-size car) A great little coffee shop is only steps away from the back door with free refills - making the mornings very easy! We were comfortable and completely enjoyed our time in San Diego. The only reason I would not recommend to a friend is because not everyone would be comfortable with the age of the building. Thank you for the extra towels that arrived as soon as we asked for them.

The location is the only thing going for this property. A bit over priced given its condition. I also did not appreciate having to check out at 10am after having a 3 pm check in.
