This oceanfront luxurious 3BR/3BA apartment with its spacious furnished terrace and its breathtaking views is located on the boardwalk, upstairs of the castle [ known as "Hamels Castle"] in Mission Beach. The location by itself is priceless. The apartment is steps away from the sand and the famous Belmont Park. There are retailers downstairs and many shops around, bars, restaurants and much more in the Bay area. Downtown San Diego is easy to reach from here (10 minutes by car) and so are most of San Diego's attractions such as Sea World ( 5 minutes), Legoland ( 30 minutes) and the San Diego Zoo ( 15 minutes).

This comfortable luxurious... air-conditioned apartment offers everything you need for a great escape right on the beach. You will enjoy the nicest appointments, romantic getaways, or just the relaxation of being at the beach in the beautiful San Diego. This unit is new. The apartment features a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, slab granite counters and designer finishes throughout. There are plasma TVs in every room - even in the bathroom. The living area opens up to a spacious balcony that offers lots of seatings, gas BBQ, Satellite stereo sound and the beautiful ocean views. The bathroom offers a high tub/shower with radio,lights, and more. Washer and dryer in-unit.

Sleeping arrangements include a king bed, 2 queen beds and a pull out queen sofa in the living room. Upon request, we also have a small portable crib/playpen for infants. This unit is ideal for up to 8 people.

There is a designated parking spot detached from the building for two cars tandem and lots of parking places surrounding the area - one handicapped parking across the street. We provide linens and towels, beach towels, beach toys and umbrella, chairs and complimentary discount vouchers from retailers downstairs. If you bring your laptop, you can log on to the wireless internet at no extra cost to you! You can also bring your Ipod and or Ipad to plug in the unit or just charge your Iphone. Sirius satellite Radio is also available in the apartment and balcony.

Additional Location Information

Mission-Beach is a San Diego favorite among locals and visitors alike. It lies between Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean and has nearly two miles of beautiful white sandy beach. The area is filled with pastel colored houses, condos, old style cottages, beach apartments and hotels. The colorful Boardwalk at Mission Beach runs for three miles ending north of Pacific Beach and is always filled with bicyclists, runners, skateboarders and rollerbladers, and has designated lanes for walking. You can engage in people watching and sunbathing on Mission Beach, or the more strenuous activities of swimming, surfing, body boarding and kayaking. The southern part of Mission Beach is known for its' beach volleyball. To the east lies Mission Bay, which contains two islands with many coves and inlets, and has a large marina for pleasure boaters, and facilities for picnics, camping and fishing. One special point of interest at Mission Beach is Belmont Park, once the site of an amusement park that now is home to shops and restaurants, and a completely restored rollercoaster. This 73 foot wooden rollercoaster called the "Big Dipper" was built in 1925, closed in 1976 and reopened in 1990. This area is well-known for the young crowd; it is not a quiet area, but everything is convenient for visitors to Mission Beach; just two blocks east are coffeehouses, fast food, taco shops, ethnic food or fine dining. Bicycles and in-line skates are both available for rent on the Boardwalk right below our Vacation rentals which is located inside a Mission Beach landmark: The Hamels Castle!

  My wife and arrived for our anniversary weekend to a modern, stylish apartment with everything you need for weekend, or more, getaway. In addition to the interior amenities, the surrounding beaches, parks, restaurants, etc. are all right at the apartment door step. We watched the sunset from the balcony just relaxed without cell phones or other interruptions. As a side note, the small deli downstairs has an incredible acai fruit bowl for breakfast.
