I had to attend a conference in downtown San Diego, and my hubby and I decided to make a vacation out of it. From the beginning Patti was very good about communication and answered all of our questions prior to our decision to stay at the Grande Diamond. There weren't many vacation properties that allowed two dogs, but Patti was more than accommodating to our two maltese-poodles. It was just the two of us and the two dogs so there was more than enough space. Just to clarify, the pictures are kind of confusing, but there are four rentals on the property: three attached, and one above the garage. The first rental is the view you see of the front of the house and it looks as if he is a long-time renter, and the one above the garage looks that way as well. The next rental is the petite diamond, and the grande is the last rental. There are two steps to get into the home and onto the beautiful patio with the lovely furniture and BBQ grill. Upon entering you are greeted by a warm living room and the spacious kitchen. Through the hallway on the right there are the two bedrooms and bathroom. If you have a family, it might be a tight fit with just one bathroom. The decor within the home was lovely and comfortable, and the kitchen had all the equipment you needed to cook up a good meal. With Trader Joe's and Sprouts a quick walk around the corner (Sprouts has a parking lot that makes it very easy to pick something on the way back home), it was easy to make meals. Beware if you have a car with low ground clearance, you might as well park on the street as the garage has a very steep incline. We brought the subaru WRX and we just parked on the street, which could potentially be difficult during the summer months. It was an easy stroll to and from the beach with the two dogs leading the way. If you are Catholic, there is a Catholic church right across the street. As for a great brunch spot, Cafe 976 is just right around the corner on Cass and Felspar.

I have rented a few places now from Patti (multiple times and properties) and every time has been great. She is very easy to work with and very accommodating as it relates to anything. This is why I continue to rent from her, either for a short weekend stay or a month long rental for the summer.
