Pacific Beach, San Diego, California
Although it's not right on the water; at just ten blocks from the beach and equally close to Sail Bay & Mission Bay, it's a bargain, a fraction of the cost of places on the ocean or bay. You'll have more money for San Diego attractions and restaurants!
You can spend the day shopping on Garnet Avenue, just a block and a half to the south, and watch the sunset on the ocean and bay while attending the free Sunday summer concerts at beautiful Kate Sessions Park just up the hill. And of course, the beach is always a short ride away on the provided be...Read more

A nice home that was close enough to walk to the beach. Neighborhood was quite for the most part. Perfect for our family.

The house was very nice and clean. We had some minor problems with the barbeque grill and stove but Nancy responded quickly and everything was fixed. This unit is a ways from the beach but it was still close enough to enjoy.

GlenwoodA little too noisy
Left on 06/21/2012 for a stay in June 2012
First let me say that the service and responsivness of NVR was top notch. Our reservations were last minute and everything went as promised. The house is another story. The best I can say is that the house was functional and the beds were comfortable. The house has no personality and the furniture in the living room could not have been more uncomfortable. There were two couches (both futons) and they were terrible. The house is located on an alley and is set in the middle of a party neighborhood. There were people up and down the alley at all hours and parties going on across the alley every night. My daughter said that is to be elected in Pacific Beach. Bottom line, I will continue to use NVR to book vacation homes, but won't be returning to this one.

31310Great Location
Left on 05/23/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Anthony's adobe is located close to several main attractions in San Diego. The beach was less than a 5min. drive, and Sea World was about the same. We were disappointed the first evening we arrived and had to pick up after the previous guest's dog. However, thankfully the inside of the condo was clean and truly kid friendly. They also had a high chair which made our stay more comfortable. As other reviews have stated, the living room furniture is not comfortable, the master bed is okay, and the queen bed is very comfortable. Also, Von's is a few minutes away on foot which made making meals at the condo that much easier, though their barbecue does need some attention due to uneven cooking and broken starters. Also, the pictures are very accurate for what the property looks like. Overall the location was great for vacationers saving money by cooking at home, yet still on the go!

Seattle, WAgreat price for a great area
Left on 04/06/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Terrific location and terrific price. We travelled with a baby and child, and the baby slept in the pack-n-play which fit nicely in the master bedroom closet, so in a way it was like a 3-BR. The walls are *thin* though, and sound carries easily, even from the patio area into the house, which made naptime tricky but manageable. The beds were unbelievably comfy, which made the distinctly uncomfortable sitting area at the TV even more noticeable. Unfortunately the microwave was on the fritz while we were there and didn't get fixed before we left. Watch out for incredibly hot water running out of the tap, esp. if travelling with kids. I managed to scald myself at least once. Overall, a really good find in an otherwise pricier area.

NorwoodConvenient, Roomy, but with limitations.
Left on 11/10/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We recently stayed at the dog-friendly house, Anthony's abode. The general location was wonderful in that everything is nearby. However, there were some problems with the house. The fridge was not working and froze (and ruined)a lot of our food. As a result, we really could not take advantage of the convenience of having a kitchen and had to eat out more than we had planned. Nancy's Vacation Rentals were very responsive to the problems and worked out a solution quickly. The house was roomy, but the furniture in the living room was uncomfortable and the TV in that room was also not working. The master bedroom did have a working TV and the bed was comfortable. However, despite the ceiling fans, the house tended to retain the heat. The backyard (enclosed) was great for the dog, but the house is very close to neighbors and could sometimes be noisy. The garage had a variety of items and we took advantage of the beach chairs. Despite some of the issues, we had a great time, and it was a good place if traveling with a dog.

Left on 09/25/2011 for a stay in August 2011
This was our second stay in the same place. All was nice and good, same as the last time. It would have been much better if we didn't have to push our way through garbage and recycling bins stacked around the gate. This does take from the experience, I am afraid.
Other than the exterioir, the place was fine. San Diego was great, as usual. -

Anthony's abode is a comfortable, clean and well equiped apartment. The bedsrooms are very roomy and the modern fitting make you feel at home. The bikes are fun and make it easy to get down to the beach. The supermarket and restrants are in very close proximity. The only thing is that the back lawn could do with a water so it could be nice and green. Enjoy the electric kettle I left there.

Snoqualmie, WAHouse Hunting in San Diego
Left on 05/26/2011 for a stay in April 2011
I was responsible for finding a place we could stay comfortably for a reasonable price (and to include our new puppy, Georgia). We found anthony's abode from a recommendation of an old friend and we were pleasantly surprised.
The home, itself, is perfect with all the things you would need to feel right at home and it's pretty close to the beach with just a 5 min drive away. Von's Grocery store is literally a block away and that was helpful with grabbing breakfast foods during the week.
My only complaint about this place is that the surrounding neighborhood is not that nice and no one, and I mean no one picks up after their dog...which is disgusting. If you don't have a dog that you need to walk everyday, you won't notice it...so don't let that deter you from renting here.
Also, I would like to mention that when my husband went to go and use the bikes, the tires were flat or with very low air. It would have been nice to have the bikes ready to ride. As an alternative, we drove to La Jolla and just walked along the beach strip which was really nice.
Other than that, we were looking for places to rent to expand our business so we weren't in the house very much. I would definitly rent from Nancy's Vacation Rentals again.
Thanks so much! -

TucsonDelightful! Clean, Convenient, Contemporary...

This house was beyond our expectation. Clean, comfortable, attractive, good size, beautiful area and a block from stores! Did I say C L E a N !!!???
The directions from Nancy's rentals regarding check in and security procedures etc. was top rate professional. There is no view, which some may not like. For us, I appreciated the privacy and the "personal abode" feel this place has to offer. It's far more attractive than we expected, we were so impressed. We will try to stay here again, the rate was very satisfactory for the area! Our poodles loved walking the neighborhood!!! -

Left on 10/13/2010 for a stay in September 2010
Anthony's abode was spacious and close enough to the beach. Due to mother nature's heat wave during our stay, the rental was on the stuffy side. We needed to place fans in both bedrooms and the living room. Natural air flow was less than adequate. The location is within walking distance of grocery store and downtown PB, which helped with meals. Overall, our stay was great.

Left on 09/19/2010 for a stay in August 2010
This rental was fantastic, my only issue is that is what too far from the beach for my children to walk and there's nothing you can do about it. We had plenty to walk to in terms of restaurants and stores and the bikes and beach gear were a fantastic option. This is my second Vrbo rental in six months and I will never stay at a hotel again, if i can help it!

Other than the distance we had to walk to get to the beach, the place leaves hardly anything to want.
A quiet corner, but close to all amenities. Shopping, restaurants... Nicely appointed with everything we might have wanted for a comfortable stay in beautiful San Diego. -

Durango COGood value for the money, but location could be better
Left on 07/31/2010 for a stay in July 2010
The house is a great value for the money. We really enjoyed our stay in San Diego and it was easy to bike to the various beaches in the area. Unfortunately, the neighbors threw a party during our stay and the walls are paper thin. We heard their revelry till the wee hours. The next morning their were cigarette butts in the yard that the neighbors guest had thrown over the fence.
Nancy is an excellent manager and was quick to respond to request and inquires. I will probably look for a different place next time I vacation in San Diego, but I would recommend this to a group of two couples or a family. Being able to keep a pet was a huge bonus! -

Left on 06/25/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Anthony's adobe was perfect for our family of myself, my husband, and our three dogs. The best thing about this rental was that they allowed dogs! Having never been to San Diego before for a true vacation, we found the location to be absolutely perfect, just minutes away from everything we needed/wanted to do. There were grocery stores/convenience stores/restaurants just blocks away. The one thing I find I have to complain (even though Nancy's can do absolutely nothing about it!) about is the noise that came in off of the alley. I'm a very light sleeper and the bordering apartments and homes in the alley were quite loud a few nights-- not sure if I can blame the play offs or it was just the neighbors in general, but who starts parties at 2a in the morning during the week?
The rental itself had almost everything we needed. I know being on vacation most people don't cook, but we do and it would have been nice to have more of a full kitchen set-up, I know, I know, we definitely aren't the norm of travelers- but we were there for a week! Having the grill was awesome, too!
The WII didn't work which was a bummer, as I wasn't going anywhere the day after the marathon due to being pretty sore, so it would have been nice to have something to occupy my time. We didn't use a lot of the beach going accessories, but we thought it was great that they were even provided to begin with- bikes, sand toys, etc..
Should we vacation again in San Diego (maybe we'll be back for the rock'n'roll marathon next year!) I would not hesitate to use Nancy's Vacation Rentals, or stay at anthony's adobe. The staff at Nancy's are also pretty great- they knew I was participating in the rock'n'roll half marathon and they were so supportive and were a quick email away if I had any questions or concerns about the rental. Overall, it was a really great vacation experience. -

We liked the place, it was nice and convenient to where we were visiting.
We had one negative experience though, when we checked in at 11pm on 3-30-10 we noticed that one of the small panes of glass in the door in the back of the house was broken and a small rock was on the floor inside the house, with obvious chards of glass. I called about it the following morning, and the guy( I don't recall his name) was a little impertinant when I told him about his damaged glass door. Furthermore he was rather charged about why I didn't call to notify about the damage the previous night. He defered a little when I told him when we got in. Apparently he sent someone by to look at it or perhaps he did, and put some tape over the window... no repair, and no clean up of the glass either. We ended up with only one bloody foot that day and I swept up the glass that day. Seemed a bit uprofessional to me considering all of the damage waiver sand fees I paid to indemnify us. I guess that stuff is neccessary due to previous bad renters.
We liked the place and would consider it again.

My friends and I rented this property in September 2009. The house was spacious and clean. It has all of the amenities one would expect to find in their own homes. They included washer and dryer, towels, linens, bicycles, various beach equipment, a BBQ, etc. We had a great time at the house and would rent it again.
