Ginny's lovely condo up on the top (4th) floor features a breath-taking 180 degree totally unobstructed panoramic view of beautiful Sail Bay. The almost floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows and sliding glass door in the living room lead out to the balcony, with a table and chairs for enjoying the view. This is the only floor which provides a view of the entire ocean horizon as well as the bay. From here you might catch a glimpse of the green flash on cloudless days but on the days with a few clouds, the sunsets are magnificent.

All the folks at Nancy's were fantastic from the first call I made, to the call to extend our stay. The location is prime as you can walk everywhere, a car is really not needed. You can even bicycle to Sea World! having the bicycles was the best. Coffee on the deck to watch the sail boats and a glass of wine in the evening to watch the magnificent sunsets made this winter escape for us perfect. We will definitely use NVR again and have told our friends the same!

Service by Nancy's Vacation Rentals was thorough and excellent. The condo was nicely decorated and comfortable. The view from the balcony (complete with table for meals etc.) was superb. Loved the cruiser bikes and used them every day to pedal around the bay and over to Mission Beach. One of the bikes could be replaced. But that was only improvement needed.

The service from Nancy's Vacations rentals was superb! They are the best organized group that I have run across in that business. The condo was very nice, but could use some updating. Great amenities as far as beach chairs, umbrellas and bikes. It was very warm when we were there and there are only fans, no air conditioning, the my husband (who hates to be hot) did not enjoy. A beautiful view and location!

Even though check in time was supposed to be 3, the maids were not told that in september it switches from 4 to 3, so I waited an hour. I did get a phone call at 2:59 telling me I would have to wait an hour, no sorries just that its the maids fault because they were not told. The bed was bad. Lumpy and sinks to the head end. The bed also has a loud creek in it.The worst part was that the bedroom actually smelled like the elevator. It was bad, really bad, especially with the fact that at night there was almost no air circulation and the bedroom was much warmer than the living area.My sinuses actually went crazy just walking into the bedroom. The second night I actually slept in the living area on the fold down murphy bed. The lock system and numbers for acess to the garage ,bikes and unit are overly complicated. The exterior photos of the place dont reflect the aging of the building. Probably a very old photo. The exterior balconies offer no Privacy from the next units on both sides. Wont go back. I checked out a few nights early. The place was clean on the inside though.

We appreciate this guest taking a moment to rate their stay with us at Ginny's condo and are very sorry to hear that everything was not to their satisfaction. Regarding the error in the check-in time, we would have called all check-ins much earlier than 3 to inform them of the error and apologize for the inconvenience, but we were not aware of this mistake until the last minute ourselves. Unfortunately, we live in an imperfect world and mistakes occur, our check-in time changes from 4pm to 3pm after Labor Day and our cleaners simply had the wrong date for this switch. As soon as we were made aware of this, we called all check-ins that day to apologize for the 1 hour delay and inconvenience; I am not sure why the "sorry" did not come across to this guest but rest assured, as our 4.5 star Average on TripAdvisor will attest to, that customer service (aiming for repeat guests) is always our top priority. We will inspect the bed but this could just be a matter of taste; if you scroll through past reviews, you can see where other guests have specifically mentioned how comfortable the bed was. While we try to cater to the majority, some people like a firm mattress, others like one that is soft, and it can be difficult to please everyone. There are a number of codes for accessing this building/condo which we email with very detailed instructions to each guest. We are not attempting to over-complicate things, this is a building with multiple vacation rentals and our codes/methods are in place to ensure that the property is safe and secure for both the Owners when a property is vacant, as well as for guests who will be staying there. The photo of the building at our website is not that old, this is one of our most popular buildings and most people love it there, we often have guests come every winter for extended stays during our low seasons. You can also see the proximity of the other balconies in the photo. Overall, given that we want all of our guests to always have a wonderful time with us and we aim to meet and exceed their expectations, we are sorry to hear that this guest would not stay at this property again and their expectations were not met. We do hope, though, that the multiple 4 and 5 star reviews (the majority) of Ginny's condo will attest to its value.

Stayed here for a week in March. Condo was very clean, bed was extremely comfortable. My Nephew and his wife live in LaJolla and it
was only a short drive to their place. Close to downtown, grocery stores, restaurants etc. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that one of the units below was evidently rented to someone with two small children who were allowed to stand at the patio door and just screech. That made it a bit annoying when trying to relax and read in the afternoon. Also someone was using the dryer on one of the lower floors at midnight and you could hear it. That being said, I would definitely consider it again when I come to San Diego. The view is awesome and the sunset is really something. It beats staying in a hotel any day for a week or more. Had a bit of a time entering the first day, partly my doing on the lockbox and then the code to enter did not work. Called Nancy and she was extremely helpful and once that was taken care of the rest was great. -

The location is fabulous. The view & balcony is outstanding. The kitchen is very small and cluttered. Too many personal belongings. The bathroom is very out of date. The tub/shower faucet is falling off the wall. Although the condo is on top floor it is very noisy. You can hear water/ toilet flush in condo next door. Walls are very thin. The bedroom closet is full of stuff. Check in was difficult. No way to get to condo from garage. Bicycles not accessable. code to lock.

Ginny's condo has 20 reviews and has a 4.5 out of 5 star average so I hope you won't let this one sway you from staying in this lovely condo. The kitchen is the same in our other 8 condos just like it and they all have a 4.5 star average. It's not small and is open to the livingroom and the fabulous view. The things in the closet are a high chair and a pack and play, a fan and a portable heater. It's a 16 foot long closet.
The faucet was loose, probably from someone using it as a support and it has been fixed. The elevator was down for one week during their stay for a 30 year maintenance part replacement but normally you just take the elevator from the condo to the garage. Of course it is rediculous to say there is no way to get to the garage from the condo. How would everyone from the other 21 condos get to their cars. You just could not take the elevator that week. I just tested the bike lock and it works fine but if it didn't, all they would have had to do is call us on our 7/24 number. We could have helped them or directed them to one of the other 30 bikes we have in that garage. Nancy -

A very well equiped spacious condo we had a great time, dining on the balcony admiring the view is not to be missed.
San Diego is a fantastic holiday destination, my favourite thing to is a walk along the beach then drinks on the patio at the Hotel Del.
We visited the Midway aircraft carrier the visit was excelent the guides were all ex navy prsonnel very knowlegable and interesting. -

The appartment was not very clean, specially the dishes and cutlery. Furnitures in the kitchen were grassy. We had trouble whith the tube wich was completlu blocked with a bunch of hair, we had to call the plumber.
The cupboards in the paartments very very busy and messy. Many things missed like laundry soap or peeler to cook.
Moreover, we got the instructions to late and we had to spend a long time with you calling from a french cell phone witch is very expensive.
Of course we really appreciate the location and the wonderfull view but unfortunatlythe rental was not up to our hope and to the high price.Response from Nancy's Vacation Rentals - 09/29/2011

We are very sorry to hear that this property was not on par with this guest's expectations. It's difficult to comment on the cleaning as this was not mentioned to be a problem upon their arrival. We would have been more than happy to have someone inspect and correct any issues if the property was not satisfactory. When we were called about the tub, we immediately had a plumber come in to fix the clog. Regarding check in instructions, they were sent to this guest 10 days prior to their arrival date but they did not print out a pdf attachment which contained all of the instructions for check in (our check in email clearly states in bold red lettering to print the pdf), which would have saved them the phone call. This property has multiple 4 and 5 star ratings and while we sincerely wish that this guest would have enjoyed their time at Ginny's condo more, we hope that past reviews reflect the high quality of this rental.

Wonderful view of bay. We loved walking around the bay walk every day. Condo was very comfortable, and we received clear instructions for getting into the secure parking area and building. Walking distance to beach and close to good restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Only complaint is that some of kitchen ware was not clean. May have been issue with a previous guest but probably a good idea for cleaning crew to check.

Great location, great view. Glad to have the bicyles!! Getting in the place is terribly cumbersome.
There is no place to unpack your suitcase as there is no dresser and the closet is filled with high chairs and other kid stuff. -

Great location, beautiful view. Kids enjoyed the place. There was a loud "knocking" sound on the roof during our stay. Made sleeping in the master bedroom difficult. Otherwise quite enjoyable! Kids loved it!

The compressor for the hot water boiler on the roof (right above Ginny's condo), which was less than one year old, was going out. We had it replaced under warranty, as soon as this guest told us about it the next morning. Since I am the President of the Association for this building, and since I also have guests staying in over half of the units in it (12 out of 22), you can be sure I am right on top of anything that goes wrong, as soon as someone brings it to my attention. What a great alternative to a downtown hotel! The view is fabulous and Mission Bay is very beautiful. The condo is spacious if a little dated. Very well equipped; we really appreciated having the beach bikes. The location is also convenient to many fun places. Easy walk to restaurants and bars on or near the beach. It was a very lovely getaway vacation.

Ginny's condo was perfect for us. The view is outstanding. The condo is in a very good location, close to everything. It is clean, secure, has comfortable furnishings and a spectacular view of the bay and the sunset. We enjoyed riding the beach cruiser bicycles and late afternoons on the balcony watching people on the "bay walk? and sailing, rowing and paddling on the bay.

Nancy's Vacation Rentals & Ginny's condo were great! How can you beat beautiful sunsets, steps from the beach, bikes to use, etc. The condo was great, near all the sites, shopping, both Mission Bay beach & Mission Beach. There is so much to do and the recommendations were great. We will be back!

Upon arrival it was easy to follow the directions for finding keys and gaining entrance to the unit. The one bedroom was just the right size and with the Murphy Bed was an added plus. We enjoyed the bikes, however one of them was broken and all rusty and we had to call the manager for a replacement. Also at the price we payed we didn't expect to have to deal with bad pipe/splumbing In fact a pipe in a unit below us broke while we were there and we were without water for 2 hours. We were also warned about keeping the counters clean because of ants and yet the cupboards were so full of random dishes and bowls there was no other place to put our groceries than on the aformentioned counter-top! Everytime we opened the refrigerater the whole appliance rolled a foot away from the wall. There was a nice TV.

The security is like Fort Knox. Keys to get on the elevator and in and out of the parking garage. Was nice to have the garage door opener and not have to leave your vehicle. I could never figure out how the trash compactor worked and didn't find any manual on it so you might want to read up on that if you've never used one before. The trash chute was conveniently located just down the hall walkway in the laundry room so it really wasn't an issue. The bed pillows were totally awesome.

This condo is perfectly located and has easy access to a lot that San Diego has to offer. The views, especially the sunsets, are spectacular! The Mission Bay beach is just off the doorstep and has an awesome running trail to the ocean. This was a perfect location for me, my wife, and kids.

We had a wonderful time! The condo is beautiful with all sorts of ammenties so it felt like home. The view of the bay is just beautiful from the balcony. Loved having bikes for our use,. We rode all over the place. If we travel back to the San Diego area again we will definetly come back!!!

This is the second year we have spend a month at Ginny's condo. The location is perfect on Sail Bay for a relaxing & refreshing holiday. Everything is so convenient, and accessible by walking, biking, or car. The panoramic vista is wonderful, day or evening, and we loved the easy access to the beach. Having such comfortable, spacious accommodations and ammendities at the condo was perfect. Our daughter and family who live in SD enjoyed daily visits and spending time at the beach with us. As our winter arrives in Nov. we start looking forward to our holiday in SD with Nancy's Vacation Rentals.
