St Petersburg, FLGreat place to stay in a great SF neighborhood
Left on 05/05/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We stayed here while in town for a mix of business and pleasure. This place was perfect. We are a family of 5 and while this place is only 2 bedrooms, it worked perfectly for the week. We were able to tour the city by day and crash comfortably by night.

Left on 04/21/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This apartment was adorable and convenient. The owner was very nice. He met us there and gave us a tour. He also left us some fruits and a bottle of wine. The place was close to everywhere. If you are wondering where to go, there is a collection of maps and tour books there. We had a great time. The kids loved it. The apartment is near a fire station, but it was not a bother. The kids loved seeing the firemen. They ago love the bunk bed. The deposit was retuned on the same day. We got off the plane and I received the email.

Alamogordo, New MexicoIdeal, quiet location in the city
Left on 04/05/2013 for a stay in December 2012
This rental turned out to be fantastic! I traveled with my husband and our teenage daughter during the holidays. This unit has everything you need and the owner gave us directions to a nearby grocery store so we were able to stock up the refrigerator and enjoy cooking our own breakfast everyday before heading out to sightsee. There is also a very nice coffee shop a few steps away that made for a nice place to end our day. Many nice restaurants within walking distance and the parking spot in the garage was awesome since we had a rental car (get a small rental as the space is tight). Safe neighborhood (across the street from a fire station), clean furnishings and just the right size for a family. My daughter also loved her own room and the wifi, but not the stairs to the top floor!

Left on 03/31/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Fantastic location very near to Presidio, Golden Gate Park, and the GG Bridge over to Marin Headlands. Well appointed apartment in a relatively quiet part of town - owners were excellent to work with (even met us at 10:30 pm at night when our flight arrived late to give us the keys and tour of the apartment) and every detail was thought of in the apartment to enhance our vacation experience (the free wifi, free local telephone calls, and fruit/wine on arrival were much appreciated). Top floor apartment was very bright and spacious and availability of laundry facilities and off-road parking on the ground floor made this a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a family-friendly locale to explore San Francisco and surrounding areas from. Many good restaurants, coffee shops, and fruit shops in easy walking distance from the apartment. Would not be suitable for those unable to climb 3 flights of stairs to the apartment as no elevator.

Coppell, TXGreat family rental in perfect SF location
Left on 03/14/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We spent our family spring break in SF and this 2-bedroom rental unit made the trip spectacular!! It was perfect for our 6 and 4 year old boys who got their own bedroom with a bunk bed and extra twin. The master bedroom was perfect for us and the single full bath was perfect for our needs. We loved the full-sized kitchen and living room with full dining table for 6. It allowed us to peacefully wake up and do breakfast at our own pace. The location was super: golden gate park is only 3 blocks away (perfect for the kids) and we were only 1 block off Geary street, allowing us to take the bus to downtown pretty easily. Ocean beach was a five minute drive and we were able to walk to China beach. Plenty of asian restaurants, cafes, and neighborhood grocery stores within a couple of blocks. the street was quiet and it was nice to be on the top floor. We ended up renting a car, so it was perfect to have our own garage parking space since parking can be cumbersome on the street. The hosts were perfect, greeted us at the unit when we arrived and gave us a full tour. We had a delightful basket of fruits and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we entered. The apartment itself is wonderfully updated with TVs in the living room and each bedroom, a sofabed in the living room that the kids loved watching movies on, and all standard appliances in the kitchen. It was a huge plus to have a washer and dryer in the garage (coin-operated). All in all a great rental unit for our family vacation of 4. We will definitely stay here again whenever we head back to SF!

Denver, COGreat find for the area
Left on 02/20/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Really nice size and good layout for our family of 6, especially with a room with bunk beds and a full in the same room. Everything worked well and Peter met us at the door and showed us the ropes. WiFi worked well and having a fully stocked kitchen was extremely helpful. Very few negatives, other than small issues with parking and stairs. These are small negatives, in fact, more things you should simply be prepared for. There is no elevator, and the unit is on the 4th floor, so be prepared to hike your bags up. There is a parking space in the garage, which is great since there is very little street parking. However, be ready for a parking in-and-out adventure with 4 spots in a tiny garage. I think San Franciscans are used to the arrangement, but many I'm guessing aren't. If you rent a car, rent a small one!

We loved our time in Taya's apartment. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well managed. Taya and Victoria truly gave us a home away from home. Even for our big family of 7 (Mom, Dad, 3 kids under 5, Grandma and Grandpa from Germany) the apartment was suitable. We enjoyed the fresh fruit and wine. The owners openess, friendliness and helpfulness is priceless. We will be back!

Los AngelesGreat location, comfortable unit, loved having dedicated parking
Left on 01/25/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We were in Unit 4, I think. It was very nicely maintained and had everything we needed. It says it sleeps 7, but the pull-out sofa was not comfortable because the mattress was thin and you could feel the springs too much. Luckily, we had 6 there, so we just left the sofa as a sofa and had one of our smaller girls sleep there and she said it was super comfortable that way. Located very near GG park and the GG bridge. A little bit of a drive everytime we needed to go towards the more touristy areas of Pier 39 and Union Square, but it's a nice quiet area and I really really appreciated having dedicated parking - so worth it in SF. Would definitely recommend.

Left on 01/24/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We enjoyed our five day stay in this lovely, clean and quiet one bedroom, one bathroom condo nestled in the Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco.
Upon our arrival, the owners met us to show us the condo. Fruit and wine awaited as we entered the unit.
The kitchen was well stocked with organic coffee, sugar, and a nice selection of tea. Also, anything you would need to make a meal was there.
Plenty of towels, wash cloths, and extra blankets were available.
Plenty of closet space in each bedroom, as well as drawers.
A garage located at ground level was available for one car parking.
A washer and dryer was also available for our use.
We will definitely stay at this location again!

I and my two teenage kids stayed here for 4 nights. What a great location. Nice neighborhood cafes and restaurants nearby. Easy bus rides to downtown. Golden Gate Park just a few blocks away. The apartment was perfect for us. Master bedroom was ample size, queen bed firm, with a wifi connected laptop ready for use. The second bedroom had a single bed and a bunkbed, which were fine with the kids. Loved the details - the welcome fruits and wine, the organic coffee, and the complete kitchen. Hosts were gracious and very helpful. Exceeded expectations and highly recommended.

We were there over the New Year of 2012/2013. The owners Victoria / Taya are fantastic people. They provided us with everything we needed. The place is amazing with three TVs, beautifully decorated, garage (huge plus in the city) and walking distance from the Golden Gate Park. I really cannot rave enough about this place and I am so thankful to Taya for being so kind to me and my friends. I definitely will look them up again to stay there. Hopefully every time I go to San Fran!
Thank you Taya and Victoria!!!

Inside the apartment was very good, complete and clean. Some improves I suggest: Alert to large cars, the garage is small. You have to put several quarter coins for using the washin/dryer machines. It's located in the 3rd floor, no elevator. Close to a beautiful park but far from downtown. We found better prices in hotels, but sure less space.

Left on 01/21/2013 for a stay in January 2013
Generally we were pleased at our choice. The property owner waited until our flight arrived to show us the unit. It was as advertised. Nice to have tea, coffee and sugar, bowl of fruit and even a bottle of wine to start. Useful to have a library of tourist books and brochures, real info rather than usual sales bumpf. Place was fine: clean, modern, in middle-class neighbourhood. No bugs or areas needing repair. Obvious pride of ownership and attention to detail. Heater kept up with a cold spell in January. Parking space a big plus. Location is fair: public transit by bus is around the corner, supermarket is about 10 min walk, restaurants within walking distance. Fire station across the street: makes the building easy to find, and although trucks usually do not use sirens during the night, they do go out at all hours. Good accessibility to property owners during stay. Would choose this place again, and recommend it.

Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We really enjoyed our stay in apt #1. We found it very tastefully decorated and extremely well stocked with supplies. Actually, better stocked than most any condo we have rented; fresh ground coffee, spices, kitchen cleaning supplies, etc.---really outstanding. The place is super clean and very well organized. The beds, pillows and linens are extremely comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with an ample supply of dishes, silverware and glasses. We enjoyed and greatly appreciated the generous supply of fresh fruit and the bottle of wine.
We really appreciated the great supply of soft bath towels that were provided. We also took advantage of the nice videos, books and maps you supplied. The LR TV/DVD worked great. We greatly appreciated the instructions that were posted. So often we are left to fend on our own, and this proves difficult.
Overall the stay was terrific and we would highly recommend this facility to others. -

This is a great apartment for a family of up to four people, with more than comfortable accommodation for all. Within an easy commute of the major SF attractions (car needed), but far enough away to also enjoy the suburban feel of the city, we can recommend this apartment. The owners went to great lengths to make our checkin easy at 11pm on Thanksgiving night. We really appreciated their attention and the communications beforehand.

My girlfriends and I needed something spacious enough to accommodate 6 people for a weekend getaway yet still affordable and within our budget. This rental unit provided just that for us and much more than we expected! The owners really put much consideration in for their guests when renting out the unit and we really appreciated that! Taya and her husband were easy to communicate with and explained everything straight to the point that we needed to know about the unit. Beds were comfortable and we loved how they provided internet and cable tv to watch along with plenty of coffee and tea in case we needed our morning caffeine fix! The location of the property was also close a lot of good restaurants that you can walk to. I will definitely rent this unit again the next time I visit San Fran! Thanks Taya!

Left on 10/31/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Taya's sister was filling in for her the week we came and she did a great job! We had an early arrival so we knew we might need to drop the luggage off and explore until the cleaning was done. But Victoria had schedule the cleaning crew to take care of our unit 1st that day so everything was ready for us to move in after being shown the garage parking, coin op washer/dryer, and key orientation.
The unit was well equipped with plenty of fluffy towels, organic shampoo, soap, cooking utensils, spices, coffee, fruit basket, information booklet on the unit (including instruction to hook onto wifi & check out info--which we'd forgotten by the time we needed to know), extra blankets, etc. The only thing we ran out of were wine glasses--we were enjoying our Napa purchases. :)
Location & access to transportation are extremely important to me in choosing a vaction location. The neighborhood & building's feeling of safety were great. Fire Station across the street also created a sense of security (and a landmark to find our home for the week). Taxi from airport was ~$50. Taxi from Fisherman's Wharf was ~$25. Bus stop was around the corner and quick to get to. 2 Muni passes were included with our rental and Victoria had brought an extra one for us to purchase which was a huge perk. The $6 cable car rides are included for free w/ the Muni pass. The negative to the bus was that the main route to this location stops about every 2 blocks going into town to the attractions which seemed to take a little longer with every trip (actually ~ 30 min). If your a runner, Golden Gate park is about 3-4 blocks away which is beautiful. Mid-trip we rented a car and found getting around pretty easy. The garage was tight & we did flip the side mirrors in to negotiate the wall & someone who didn't park inside thier parking line. We were always going against traffic so driving & parking were surprisingly easy.
The owner has a great system to managing thier 8 rental units.

We enjoyed staying in this very clean and well organized unit. The owners are very friendly and accommodating; Taya answered my inquiries immediately and was ready to meet us with the key as soon as we arrived in San Francisco. The unit has everything you need, from olive oil to cook with, right down to a first aid kit! My family felt very comfortable here and my kids, ages 6 and 9, loved the bunk beds. It was a nice feeling to come "home" to a comfortable and convenient place after long days playing tourist.

Definitely a great place to stay in! The apartment is in superb condition, very clean and complete of all your basic needs plus some - TV, towels, laundry and etc - you name it and it's there to make your stay comfortable.Everything you need is very accessible- restaurants, transportation and markets are just around the corner. If you want to cook, they have all the utensils and spices available for you to use. It's a great place for an almost nonstop bonding time with your friends and your family.
Shout out to Taya for being responsive; and to Victoria for very accommodating. They both make it easier for their guests to get hold of a great place to stay in. A+++ for the service and the apartment. I can't stress enough how great the accommodation was. -

We rented this unit for a wedding over the weekend, and it was perfect. It easily slept seven people (one master bedroom and one bedroom with a bunk bed and a twin, plus a very comfortable pull-out couch). The apartment was beautifully decorated and even had furniture for a baby--a crib, a high chair, and plastic kitchenware and baby books. The neighborhood was safe and conveniently located near Golden Gate Park, China Beach, and a ton of great Richmond restaurants. We were greeted at the apartment by the very friendly owner, who showed us where local grocery stores were and left us complimentary wine and fruit. The best part was the garaged parking spot, though! All in all, an excellent place to stay.

Left on 09/11/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We travelled from the UK to San Francisco for a family wedding so we had friends and family in rental accommodation all over the San Francisco area. Our pick was Taya's place and I have to say it was one of the best apartments. The apartment was clean, very spacious, well decorated and very comfortable with all the amenities you could require (including iPod/iPhone charger radio alarm clocks). There are flat screen TVs in both bedrooms and lounge and excellent extras such as tea and coffee to use upon arrival. The lounge and dining area was spacious and airy with a hallway to the two excellent sized bedrooms one a double and the other a tripple with bunk beds. The family bathroom was well equipped and very well decorated with plenty of fresh towels. There was a bottle of wine and fresh fruit for us upon arrival! Taya's sister Victoria showed us around and gave us excellent travel advise and tips. I have to say Taya has thought of everything including a Laptop and printer to use during your stay. With free internet access we had everything we could need.
It's a short 20 min bus ride down Geary to Union Square and into the heart of San Francisco.
One thing to note is there is a fire station right oposite the apartment but that didn't bother us during our stay.
If we're lucky enough to travel back to San Franciso we would definitely stay here again. Thanks Taya and Victoria -

Concord, NCSimply Delightful!
Left on 08/30/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Victoria welcomed us to this unit with vitality and graciousness. She answered every question, showed us where everything was, and made herself available to us with the genuine desire to make our time there as enjoyable and trouble-free as possible. The flat was better supplied than any hotel or time share we've stayed in, the beds extremely comfortable, the towels thick, thirsty and numerous, the location excellent... In fact, the only thing not perfect about Taya's beautiful flat were neighbors on the floor above us that, for several nights, kept us from getting to sleep before midnight (3 a.M. our time!), but I'm sure that was a rare occurance for this nice a place. The positives, including a garage/parking space, a bottle of wine and lots of fresh fruit on our arrival, only a few steps to public transportation, and everything we might need or want in the unit including TVs in every room, Dvds, Wi-Fi, even delicious coffee beans and a grinder, and a computer, far outweighed the noise. This is a real find in San Francisco, and the hospitality of the hosts is simply the best!

My family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenage sons)stayed here in early July. It was great alternative to a hotel stay where we would have had to pay for 2 rooms. We were able to have breakfast in the apartment before heading out to explore San Francisco for the day. We took advantage of the delicious coffee and teas that were provided for our use. The fruit and wine left as gifts were a lovely touch. The free parking space allowed us to have a rental car and the freedom to explore the Bay area. The laptop computer and printer was an unexpected plus. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

Left on 08/08/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Taya came and met us upon arrival to SF and she is super friendly, helpful and nice! She gave us a 7 days pass to the public transport which was greatly appreciated and she helped us with something we ordered in the mail, and let us stay longer in the apartment as we were leaving late in the evening. She couldn´t have been more accommodating before arrival and while we were there.
We loved the coffeemaker and the docking stations for the Ipods. Great. What we did not appreciate was to do the laundry we needed seven 25Cent pieces for one machine. We have rented several places and never needed to pay for using the washing machine and dryer. (Which costs another 6 25 Cent which we did not have) It would have been better if Taya informed about this before arrival.
The apartment was too small for a family of five! We would not recommend anyone with bigger children to stay there if you are five or more people. For Three, four people it might work. (Our children are 16, 14 and 9)We also found that it could have been more big bath towels available. The kitchen is old and not ment for cooking very much. It is not a state of the art appartement, but works OK for a stay in SF. -

The unit is well equipped with all the amenities of home. Taya welcomed our family with a basket of organic fruit, coffee and very nice bottle of California wine. The unit is well appointed with good cookware, appliances and plenty of towels for a family of four. The family room and each bedroom have high definition flat screen Tv's with cable, which is great if you have kids. The unit is approximtely 15 minutes to Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square, and Chinatown depending on traffic. We enjoyed our stay and it is nice place to relax after a long day in the city or Napa. At times the unit can be noisy from street activity, but otherwise, we had a very enjoyable stay at this unit.

Left on 07/05/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Upon my arrival I found a wonderful assortment of fresh fruit, and a bottle of California Merlot! That was just the beginning.
Very comfortable furniture in living room that has a flat screen TV with the works. Dining area that accomodate many. Fully equipped kitchen--a pleasure to cook in! A very nice bathroom. And, two bedrooms, nicely appointed, also with flat screen TVs. The linens in bathroom and bedrooms were quite nice. Crib and high chair, for those who need them. By the way, this flat can potentially sleep seven.
I chose this flat because of its location--just around the corner from my son's apartment. Not to mention that it is a short walk to Golden Gate Park, shopping and restaurants on Geary, Clement, and California Streets, and several different bus lines.
The owners were so very accommodating and pleasant. I will definitely stay here again when visiting my son, and highly recommend it to friends and others. -

In the heart of the Richmond District you feel as you are part of the life of the neighborhood and not a tourist. With the walk up unit, the coffee bistro and m any restaurants within walking distance and public transportation around the corner it was convenient. You can even make an easy walk to China Beach, or take a long hike to the Presido or Golden Gate Bridge. The Cliff House is a nice evening walk. The owners provided spices for cooking and organic coffee and tea for the morning, as well as a welcome basket of fruit and wine. The orientation to the unit and the surrounding area was great.

This is an exceptionally well appointed and well furnished apartment. Price very reasonable for a place of this quality. Great neighborhood with many, many good restaurants and easy bus access to downtown (and a bus pass was provided!). Incluced parking spot is a squeeze, but a very valuable advantage in this crowded city.

Also the tv in the living room had no sound on the right side. Needs new wiring from comcast box to tv. We were able to rig with dvd wiring. Every thing else was great.

First and foremost, our utmost thank you for accomdating the late night check in and I want to take this opportunity to thank Victoria for being so helpful and going extra miles to drive me around neighbourhood to find restaurant that was still open late in the night as we just landed and checked in to the apartment. We love the apartment and so as our 8 months old baby boy. He slept very well and more time than he ever did at home. The apartment location is also very conveniently located and surrounded by a lot of restaurants. We would definitely recommend to anyone who look for vacation rental in SF. Thanks again Tara and Victoria!

The owner met us at the apartment at 11 o'clock at night to give us the keys to the apartment and let us know about parking in the garage, etc.! The apartment was sparkling clean and very comfortable. There was a large bowl of organic fruit and a bottle of wine on the dining room table, so thoughtful! We were in town for our daughter's graduation, and have family in town, so we were busy almost every minute, so we didn't have the chance to use the wonderful binder the owners provide of local restaurants and attractions. Apartment is within easy walking distance to two nice coffee shops, and easy access to all areas of town. We would definitely stay again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this perfect apartment ! The location is a winner - close to the bus route into town (approx 20min ride ) , close to Golden Gate park , beach , Golden Gate bridge etc .. The apartment itself is extremely clean , spacious & warm , good quality beds & linens & every conceivable kitchen utensil you need . Dealing with Taya (& nearly her whole family!) was a delight , they are all so helpful & accommodating , buying our Muni passes for us before we arrived , complimentary fresh fruit & wine , and Taya went out of her way in returning our security bond - which was hugely appreciated . We didn't frequent any local resturants , choosing to cook in our lovely apartment instead . I would highly recommend this apartment to any friends & family , Thanks again for all your help & a truely great stay . Team Harris , New Zealand

The TVs were a little complicated to use. In sum, it was a pleasure to stay there.

We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Taya was quick to respond to any questions we had prior to our arrival and very hospitable. It is only 4 blocks to Golden Gate Park and 1 block to the nearest bus stop, making it accessible to just about any activity in San Francisco. The kids enjoyed watching the trucks and ladders at the fire station out the living room window- which produced such a minimal amount of noise that it was not even a concern. Very comfortable beds and the kitchen was easy to work in.

Peter showed us through the lovely 2 bedroom unit filled with all of the modern luxuries of home and more.
He explained how everything worked then showed us his gift to us; a great fresh fruit basket and wine!
The apartment goes beyond the normal experience from kitchen spices to an abundance of towels all clean and fresh.
We have 3 small children and the set up was perfect. We are now staying in a very nice hotel but miss the ability to be able to cook for ourselves if we wish.

We spent 10 days in this 2 bedroom apartment and had a great time. It is conveniently located in the Richmond district and only a mile from China and Baker Beaches. The Muni passes would a wonderful bonus. Ninety percent of San Francisco is accessible by bus. There were three entertainment units in the apartment allowing different family members to enjoy their personal television choices. The apartment was nicely furnished and had plenty of cookware and dinnerware. It is exactly as advertised. Taya was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely stay here again. It may be helpful to know that this apartment is across the street from a fire department. The front bedroom can be a bit noisy at night, however this was not a serious drawback from the many benefits of this rental.

This was our first time using a holiday rental, I was a little conserned at first being in a different country and someone else place, but that changed very quickly.
I had sent a number of emails before we got there and the response was very quick all my questions were answered.
My family and I were meet at the appartment and showned around.
The host spent time showing us the area on the map how to use the transport (bus, cable car and trams) and also were the closest grocery store was, all the things you need to know. It mad our stay so enjoyable.
The apparently is comfortable for a family of 4 every thing is user friendly and the beds- well sooo good luxury.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this location. The apartment was clean, provided all the necessities, check-in was easy, convenient and easy access to stores, restaurants as it is right by Geary and Clement St. Only negative thing I can say about the experience is that since the unit was located on the first floor, there were a few nights I could hear stomping sounds from the unit above, especially late at night. After politely informing them that it was past 10 pm and they needed to quiet down, things got better. Still, every so often we would hear loud stomping and running sounds but it wasn't as bad as the first few nights.
Overall, a wonderful experience and would stay here again. Thank you to Taya, Victoria and alex for making this trip very memorable! -

This is the perfect place to stay in San Francisco. If it is available, don't hesitate to book it!! Taya pays attention to every detail in the apartment and in her service. She quickly responded to all emails before our trip, and made easy arrangements to check in and to check out. The apartment has a great location on a quiet residential street a few blocks from Golden Gate Park. It is a huge plus to have a parking space! The apartment was very clean, spacious, comfortable, and organized. An added bouns is that Taya welcomes each guest with a bottle of wine, a huge bowl of fruit, and chocolates on the bedside tables. The kitchen was stocked with essentials such as coffee, sugar, spices, and much more than enough glassware, plates, and cooking utensils. Beds were extremely comfortable. All in all, I would easily stay here again and would recommend the apartment to anyone. Taya was exceptionally accommodating and her apartment is definitely as described - a great alternative to an upscale hotel!

We recently booked a weeks stay at the Designer Unit for an event in Ocean Beach. Peter and Taya were a pleasure to work with: always available to answer questions before and during our stay. The flat was immaculate, cleaner than most 4-star hotels I have booked. In addition, everything was well stocked and the usual hotel amenities, such as an iron, ironing board, and hair dryer, are also provided. Restaurants and stores are also within walking distance and there is a cute coffee shop on the corner. The location was quiet and seemingly safe so we had restful nights. Dublin, IrelandComfortable well equipped apartment
Left on 11/08/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We stayed in this apartment for eight nights and it was a very comfortable home away from home. Everything was as advertised, and while we didn't make use of the cooking facilities during our stay, the kitchen, like the rest of the flat, was well equipped. Previously when I've stayed in holiday rentals we've usually had to buy some essentials over the stay - but we didn't need to go near a supermarket. The big container of coffee was a massive plus too!
We'd researched the area so we were happy to be within about a 30 minute walk of the ocean, which suited us perfectly. So yes, it is a good distance away from downtown, but we were very happy to choose this location away from it all. We just bought bus passes for the duration, so the number 38 which runs from almost right outside the flat was our ticket downtown, which suited us fine. I don't think we were waiting any longer than five minutes for a bus at any stage.
The fire station across the street did create some noise in the early hours, but this might not be a problem for most people. We were all a bit off with our sleeping patterns as it was, so I think it probably bothered us a bit more than most.
The contact with the owners was efficient, and the deposit on the apartment had been refunded to my credit card before we even got home.
All in all, it was exactly as advertised, which really is what you're always hoping for! We had a very enjoyable stay. -

Left on 10/29/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We stayed in the apartment three nights in Oct 2011. When initially reserving, the contacting was easy and all emails replied to quickly. Upon reservation, I hadf to leave a 300$ deposit, but it was refunded to me right after the key was returned, so very prompt service.
The apartment was well furnished with two big tv's and even some dry foods, spices etc. in the kitchen. The owners had made a massive information packet about the city and there were guides, restaurant menus, info on shops nearby, maps and everything you could ask for! We also received a complimentary bottle of wine and some fruit, which was a nice touch. There was one room with a bunkbed and a single bed, another with a king bed and in the livingroom there was a sofabed so it does sleep 7, although I wouldn't recommend it as there's only one small bathroom.
The unit is about 20 minutes on the bus to the centre, but there's a really big street 50 yards away and buses go all the time, so shouldn't be a problem with transportation.
There isn't a balcony in thew unit and the one we stayed in was 4th floor without an elevator. As smoking isn't allowed, you have to walk 4 flights of steps to have a cigarette.
I was a bit unsure if there was air conditioning, if there was we couldn't get it to work. Luckily it was October so not that hot!
Thanks to the owners, we had a very nice time! -

Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We had an excellent week in San Francisco - made all the better by having a very good apartment as our base. It's in a good location - to the west of downtown - about 30 mins away by a pretty frequent bus (38L for instance). Also - being out of the centre - it was well located for out of town trips (the garage space was handy) - as quick to get out over the Golden Gate going North or the 1 going south. Located across the road from a fire station on 26th (don't worry - no noise!) - so exciting to check out the fire engines for our younger son. The flat itself had everything that you'd need for a stay. Local shops good too. Taya and Peter excellent hosts. We arrived late at SFO, but no problem for Peter who met us at the flat to let us in. Anyway, definitely a great place to stay - and hope to be back someday.

Peter was so warm and hospitable, welcoming us with simple, thorough instructions and a lovely bottle of wine and some fruit. The flat was exactly as represented and was ideal for us. We were traveling with our son and his girlfriend so we needed two bedrooms. Then because of some snoring issues, we also needed a third area. Thank God, the Katzes have a comfy pull-out couch complete with mattress topper and high quality linens so the pull-out sleeper had as nice a bed as anyone else. I loved the location. Loved being able to walk to the park and to the ocean. The days we went downtown, we located parking in advance, went straight to it, dropped off the car and walked around that area. It was fantastic that a rare parking spot came with the apartment and we thank Peter for some information he gave us the first day that led us to conclude that we should keep the rental car that we had planned on turning in. It turned out to be a great decision. I fell in love with the immediate neighborhood and consider getting to know Little Russia a highlight of the trip. After reading all I could in advance on-line about the cathedral on the corner, I paid a very respectful visit and went to services one morning. It was fascinating. Truly a glimpse into another world. Once hooked on Mother Russia, I became a regular at Tbilisi Bakery and brought home blintzes and poppyseed cake which were a hit for breakfast. Our son reported that Kitaro sushi on around the corner on Geary was the best he'd ever had. all in all, we can't wait to return and extend hearty thanks to Peter and Taya for being such a large part of a perfect vacation.

Not knowing San Francisco (it was our 1st visit) we weren't sure where to stay. This condo was a great 'home base'! Imacculate and well laid out and having off streat parking-fantastic! There a grocery store & drug store up on 32nd street (6 blocks away) that was great for food so we didn't have to eat every meal out. Coffee shop on the corner was very inviting too. The fire station across the street adds a nice bonus level of security. Taya and her associates were very helpful and avaiable for any questions we had. Great place to stay!

The place was immaculate and well stocked even providing a great gratis fruit selection. It provided easy internet connection for our ipad and the bathroom and bedrooms were immaculate and in all the place was well decorated. Taya is a gracious host and was very responsive via email and on the phone as well as in person. We really enjoyed the close proximity to Golden Gate Park and the De Young Museum as we walked there and back. Lots of restaurants a block up on Geary and not far from Cliff House. All in all we highly recommend this vacation rental.

My family (2 parents, 5 kids) stayed for 5 days and really had a good experience. It is close enough to walk to golden gate park and we had a great time walking to restaurants and little ethnic markets 5 minutes in the other direction (sushi, irish bakery, organic food store, arabic grocery, russian deli). On the downside, the parking was very small and difficult to get into. But it has parking. There is a fire station directly across the street, but it wasn't too bad. Owner very easy to work with. Felt like a very safe neighborhood.

The location of this rental is a little outside of San Francisco, but just minutes from the Golden Gate Park. The only negitive of this rental is that it is located on the 3rd floor. This could be a negitive if you have problems with stairs! The actual unit itself was more than we could imagine. We were greated with a bottle of wine and an assortment of organic fruit. The beds were very comfortable and the rental itself is far more spacious than the pictures lead you to believe. On top of that, if there were any problems, the owners were very helpful and respond almost immediatly. I would highly recommend this rental to others.

With hotel prices so expensive in the San Francisco area we thought we would try to save a little and get an apartment. We were so lucky to find this one and we could have not been more pleased. Dealing with the owners (Taya, Peter and Victoria) was extremely easy and they were very helpful and responsive. Peter met us at the location and gave us a tour of the whole building. The apartment has everything you could possibly need in the way of amenities and the owners even supply fresh fruit, coffee beans, a bottle of local wine, a lap top computer and a printer.
We noticed that there was a fire station directly across the street and were worried that we would be awoken at night when they went on runs, but that was never an issue for us. The firefighters are great neighbors. My kids walked across the street to look at the fire engines and the firefighters welcomed them into the house, gave them fresh baked cookies and offered them some pizza. The firefighters also had great tips on things to do and good local restaurants.
The apartment offers parking if you have a car but we found no need to rent a car. We used the Muni system and couldn't have been happier. It takes a little longer and you have to allow yourselves about an hour to get to Fisherman’s Warf if you are taking the muni system. There were 7 of us in the apartment and it was just perfect due to the fact the couch in the living room pulls out into a queen bed and there are bunk beds plus a twin in one of the bedrooms.
This apartment was perfect for our needs and we will definitely be back. -

We arrived Sat afternoon and Peter was there to greet us and explain everything. The condo is super clean! Comfortable beds! We had the condo with the balcony and that was beautiful. Would definetly recommend it. Taya and Peter were always helpful, and easy to reach. I loved those little special touches: organic hand wash and lotion, organic coffee, a huge fruit basket (of course organic!) and a nice bottle of wine. They make you feel right at home. We had a car and were thankful that we had the garage. We took the bus once, the stop is right around the corner. And it takes about 30 min. to get downtown. And the coffee shop right at the corner is better than any big name coffee shops!

We were traveling with both our teenage sons and my parents. The flat accommodated the entire group well-though one bathroom was a little challenging for the six of us to navigate. Taya was a good communicator and welcomed our family the day we arrived. We were very happy with how clean the apartment was and the amenities were nicely selected. Though it would have been nice to be a little closer to downtown, the Richmond area was easy to get around by foot and central to many of the areas we explored. I would recommend Taya's team for rentals if you're heading to San Fran to explore.

My family (husband and 2 small children) stayed in this apartment for three nights while visiting my sister who lives around the corner. It is in a fantastic neighborhood in San Francisco if you have small children, walking distance to Lands End, beaches, several playgrounds and Golden Gate Park. Small coffee shops and restaurants everywhere too. We were so impressed with the accomodations - fully stocked bathroom eith tons of clean towels, well-stocked and roomy kitchen with all the essentials, including a wide selection of spices. The complimentary wine and fruit basket were much appreciated and thoughtful touches, especially after a journey with children. And the parking spot...pure gold in San Francisco! What a wonderful place to stay. I recommend it 100%

ordering via the internet and paying for something you never actually saw is not easy, but in this case, we couldn't expect more. Traveling from far, with a baby, a child and 4 adults for a whole week we met Peter in the exact time for checking in. he was very nice and welcoming, explainig and answering all our questions. The appartment was completly clean. in a perfect condition- everything works, everythong is as convenient as can be. It is big enough for 6 people and designed beautifully. It is not located in the city center, but its a nice quiet neighborhood, close to the park, to the ocean and to many stores and resaurants and if you have a car, as we did, its ok. It is next to a fire department station - which could be noisy, but during the whole week only few times they went out and used the sirens, so for us it wasnt disturbing. They are very generous in every detail - many towels, fruit, wine, free phone calls and more. they thought of every detail- written explanation for all the facilities in the appartment, dvds, laptpop, books about the area, cook books, organic sugar, wide variety of spices and everything you need for the kitchen. Also Taya and Peter are available all day long for any question and request. Taya was very easy to reach during the whole process, she is fair, reliable and the service is excellent. We rent an appartment in mannhattan for the week before- it was ok, but the experience in san Francisco was far more than that. you see the effort they put in making your stay as convemient as possible. This was a great experience we will surely recommend.

Milwaukee, WisconsinBest Vacation Rental We've Ever Had
Left on 07/04/2011 for a stay in June 2010
We were initially interested in another property but it was unavailable. This one was offered instead. What a great find? The property was very roomy for five people. Everything seemed brand new and of good quality. There were a lot of little features that made this a great place...the iPhone chargers in each room, TVs in the bedrooms and living room (for all our different TV watching tastes), computer with printer (for printing our boarding passes and researching restaurants), the welcoming bottle of wine and fruits, the comfy beds (better than a hotel), the thorough instructions on getting in, out and around the place, adequate seating for five at the dining room table, all the "right" amenities for cooking breakfast each morning, the coffee shop on the corner, the brand new grocery store just six blocks away, and very easy access to all the public transportation. Our first day we realized how far we'd be from all the sights and the cost of taking taxis. We ended up purchasing a City Pass that gave us unlimited access to all the different forms of transportation to get to and from our destinations. I would say this was the only downside of this apartment - that it was not closer to the city center. However, it was quiet and probably a better value than anything we could have found closer. The public transportation ended up being a nice respite for our tired feet after a long day. It's safe and everyone uses it. We'd recommend this apartment without any reservations.

Owners are most hospitable and friendly, and took the time to show us all of the features of the place. This is the way to go, especially for a family of 4-6 who would otherwise be getting 2-3 hotel/motel rooms. Great kithen with all the equipment to make full meals, plus incredible variety of restaurants in walking distance. Interesting, safe neighborhood.

This rental was one of the top I have experienced. Taya has done a remarkable job in having such a well stocked, comfortable place to use as a base for visiting San Francisco. It was a great place for two friends to enjoy--and spread out much more than you could in a hotel room! A plethora of soft towels, fresh organic fruit, a bottle of wine and a parking space, plus walking distance to public transportation, Golden Gate Park and tons of restaurants. And Taya had lots of books on San Francisco to help you plan your days. I would definitely come back again!

Within 2 hours of emailing the owner Taya, she called me and confirmed availability for our stay. It was a last minute request for my brother's treatments at Ucsf, so her promptness was very much appreciated! She is a beautiful person who made our stay in SF so much easier than it would've have been staying in a hotel. The apartment was ideal for our family. We were welcomed with fresh organic fruits and a lovely bottle of Cabernet. This place was clean, comfortable, conveniently located, quiet, and filled with organic products (which we do at home), so it was a perfect match. There is also a nice patio filled with furniture and a BBQ. My family and myself highly recommend booking your stay with Taya!

Lovely high-spec apartment, all mod-cons you would need. The laptop computer and printer were a great extra, good for printing out tickets to attractions or planning your routes/excursions. Very easy to get about on the public transport (Muni 38 bus takes you downtown in 35 mins from Geary).
We were in the first floor apartment which was slightly noisy with the lower security gate banging shut when people left the building, children running up and down in the apartment above and also slight noise from the electric garage door below opening and closing. I would advise earplugs if you want undisturbed sleep due to the potential firetrucks leaving the station in the early hours across the road.
Apart from that we thoroughy enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment to friends. -

We needed a place to stay in San Francisco that was doggy friendly with enclosed parking & this apartment was ideal. It was clean, organized & very well appointed with all the amenities we could have wanted during our 3 day stay. There was a flat-screen TV in each bedroom as well as the living room, along with iPod docks, WiFi, laptop & printer, house phone with us long-distance included & welcoming bottle of wine & fruit bowl! The single bathroom while small, was very nice with an abundance of fluffy white towels on hand & it was wonderful to have a fully equipped kitchen & dining area to be able to invite a couple of old friends over for dinner. We were driving a rented Dodge Grand Caravan minivan & we were able to fit it into the enclosed secure garage parking spot which is a huge bonus in San Francisco! The location was great for restaurants & an array of different ethnic grocery stores, all within easy walking distance & our dog loved his morning walks down to Baker Beach where one can get a great view of Golden Gate Bridge. I would definitely stay here again!

We very much enjoyed staying in this flat. We visited San Francisco for a week during Spring Break. The location was very convenient (via bus) to everywhere we wanted to go -- much easier than using our car. We left our car parked in the garage and used the muni system to go everywhere.
The flat was very well equipped -- all the cooking equipment (including sharp knives) that we could wish, not to mention an complimentary large basket of excellent fruit and bottle of wine. We were a block or two away from many excellent restaurants. The furniture was comfortable, the beds were heavenly, and the neighborhood relatively quiet. We very much enjoyed having a separation of space not possible in a hotel, at close to 1/2 the cost. There were even interesting books and movies to use, and tvs with DVD players in both bedrooms plus the living room. Both bedrooms have an iPod station/alarm clock.
For families with young children, the flat includes a crib, high chair, and children's dishes.
Taya and her husband were extremely helpful, checking in several times during our stay to make sure we weren't having any problems. -

The apartment was clean and comfortably furnished, and the kitchen was amply and well equipped, including a courteous and generous supply of staples-oils and vinegars, spices, cleaning supplies. (The lack of baking pans was an exception, and the stove was a weak point). The location is good-a nice residential area just a few blocks from Golden Gate Park and around the corner from Geary Blvd, with a wide array of shops and restaurants, and a bus that goes to the heart of downtown. The garage parking space that comes with the apartment is a real plus, since street parking is nearly impossible, and the apartment is conveniently located for driving out of the city both to the south and over the Golden Gate to the north. Bus connections are so good, however, that you might choose to leave the care where it is for outings in the city. The Fire Station across the street from the apartment offers some entertainment value through the day. In all it met a variety of needs and made for a wonderful Christmas celebration.

The apartment was in an awesome condition. It was clean and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and the fully equipped kitchen. Everything about the apartment was perfect except for the four flight of stairs up, which was kinda stifling for us and our very heavy luggages. Check in and check out was easy and convenient. Thank you Victoria for waiting for us patiently... Really, really really enjoyed our stay in Taya's apartment. We wish they have a similar apartment nearer to Union Sq... Nevertheless, we had a great time!

This apartment is across the secluded street from the fire station. No problem, they never turned the siren on until a block a way. Over the weekend they never woke us. You are two to four blocks from small grocery stores with fresh fruit. The area has a wide variety of ethnic restaurants. Three block walk from great views of Golden Gate Bridge. However, you are a bit far from Cable Cars and Union Square. We found a good way around this though. Take a car to Fishermans Wharf and park. Then ride the cable cars from there to downtown. You avoid the obvious downtown traffic issue. The museums in western San Francisco are minutes away. We would stay there again.

We just loved this cute unit with 2 bedrooms, it was clean, had ammenities like coffee, tea, towels, soap, etc. Full kitchen available for cooking (if you wish). Our host was very gracious and attentive, no issues getting in contact or asking questions about the place, area, etc. The only downside is that there are stairs to get to the top floor unit, but at the same time, we were happy to be up there too. Location is very handy and close to coffee shops, restaurants and groceries, as well as to transit. We also parked our full size jeep in the garage with no issues.

This is a beautifully appointed apt. with all the amenities you could ever need and then some. Taya provides organic coffee, fresh fruit and a bottle of wine - very classy touches. The apt. is located in a comfortable multi-cultural neighborhood with a staggering variety of restaurant choices. The Muni passes made it very easy to come and go around the city. The only 'ding' in an otherwise excellent review is that there is a fire station across the street. There were no sirens in the middle of the night however don't expect to sleep past 7am. I think children would find the location fascinating. Communication with Taya was excellent and I thank her for a very positive vacation rental experience.

The unit is furnished with every amenity; even those you don't even think you'll need while on vacation! Taya and Peter have taken the time to ensure every detail is tended to and you feel as if you are at home. The location is great for moving around the city. If you rent a car the parking garage is definitely a big plus while the 2 Muni passes ensure you have no parking problems when visiting heavily visited areas. I strongly recommend this rental to anyone visiting the San Francisco area. Thank you Taya and Peter.

This newly renovated 2nd floor flat in the Geary neighborhood is very comfortable and well-equipped. Even my husband and son who are picky cooks were happy with the kitchen and equipment - they whipped up a great meal from provisions obtained at the nearby grocer, meat market, and produce vendor. Nice new bathroom and comfortable beds. The apartment is within walking distance of Golden Gate park and the many interesting shops and restaurants in this quirky San Fran neighborhood. Taya and her husband were helpful and friendly. There is even a parking place, a real premium in this location!

My friends and I were attending the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in Golden Gate Park and were grateful to have found this amazing apartment. The place was spotless, comfortable and full of amenities: The complementary bottle of wine, organic coffee, and fresh organic fruit were wonderful touches. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to eat in or there are numerous restaurants right down the street on Geary if you prefer to dine out. The parking space in the garage is an added plus, as parking in the neighborhood can be pretty tough to find when it's busy like that weekend. Moreover, the apt manager was extremely helpful and responsive. I've already booked the place for next year!

A lovely apartment - a home away from home. Very welcoming hosts - fruit and wine are a lovely touch and there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores close by. It's conveniently located to public transport and it's about 30 mins to the city centre by bus. The apartment is on the third floor so be prepared for stairs, and it's opposite a fire station, so there's some occasional street noise, but we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

We stayed in apartment 3 and 4 for the long labour day weekend and wish we stayed longer . It was excellent from being met at the apartment and being shown around the high spec apartments. The manual was really high standard with plenty of information. The whole booking process was really professional and as someone with slight OCD about cleanliness I really appreciated the freshness of the towels and linen and the condition and cleanliness of the apartment. The apartment comes stocked with plenty of needed bits and pieces. It really felt like home from home. Also Taxis were easy to pick up from this location and didnt cost too much. Golden Gate park and the beach were walkable too! We cant wait to come back.

Taya and her husband are very attentive owners and very welcoming to their guests. The condo's are clean, nicely furnished with everything that is needed to have a comfortable stay. The garage parking is a wonderful bonus. The condo is located close to Golden Gate Park and less than a two-minute walk to the Geary Street Bus Line that can whisk you to downtown in under 15 minutes. You will enjoy the condo and the treatment you receive as a guest.

We had 2 nights in this lovely apartment. It really is as lovely as the photos suggest! Everything is there, even games, books and a computer for you to use. The location was great, an easy 20 minute drive to downtown. Peter welcomed us to the apartment and showed us everything very thoroughly. We loved the gifts of fruit and wine for our arrival. All in all a fantastic place to stay.

We and our 3 adult children and all loved the apartment, and would have been happy to stay longer. Very comfortable and elegant furnishings, very generous supply of fruit and wine and essentials in kitchen, including excellent coffee. Easy to drive to from coast road on arrival and frequent buses to downtown along Geary if you want to avoid the traffic mayhem and parking there. Local groceries, coffee shops, banks and restaurants all walkable. Can't blame the owners for the weather (where did the sun go). The mist rolling in one night made for an interesting atmosphere when we walked up to Pacific Cafe where they were very welcoming and the fish was good.

we are a family of 5, with young kids. we stayed at the condo for a week, at the end of July 2010. the apartment is clean, extremely well equipped, and very spacious. We enjoyed cooking and eating at the apartment. the location is great - walking distance to great restaurants, grocery, coffee shops and what not. 10-15 min drive to down town and around the corner from Golden Gate Park and Presidio. Taya and Peter katz were very pleasant and responsive to any request we had. it was pleasure staying at this apartment and we highly recommend it for anyone who wishes to visit SF. great value and much better than hotel room that would have cost the same !,

We loved this apartment and hope to return someday. In fact, we didn't even want to leave! The beds and linens were extremely comfortable. The apartment was nicely decorated and had 3 hi-def tvs. The kitchen had all you would need to cook and serve meals for 6 to 8 people. The bathroom was very nice and towels were plentiful. We washed them once during the week we were there in the coin op washer and dryer in the garage. It was so nice to have free parking in San Francisco - a rareity. There were all sorts of little amenities that made our stay more pleasant, such as tea, coffee, soap, shampoo, iron, laptop computer, books, dvds, travel brochures, etc. We had a wonderful stay!

Like everyone else has said, Taya & Peter were very easy to work with, the apartment is very nice and the wine & fruit were great. I really liked the ease of the public transportation and how close it is to the apartment. Several good restaurants within 2 or 3 blocks (Belly Burgers is a really good burger joint). Hopefully I can return and stay here again.

We stayed here for two nights with our young daughters (ages 6 & 9). The apartment was clean and comfortable! Loved the wine and fresh fruit provided by the owners. Plenty of soft towels in the bathroom, and comfortable bedding in the bedrooms. We've stayed at a lot of rentals and this was one of our favorites--so many amenities.
This apartment is on the fourth floor, so prepare to walk up the stairs. Not a big deal (our girls loved it!) and Taya's husband was so nice to help carry our stuff upstairs, too! Being able to park in the garage was a huge plus for us, since many of the hotels in SF charge $40-60 per night. We had SF City Passes and used the bus, cable cars, and F train to get around. There is a fire station across the street, but it was not an issue. They had a few calls while we were there, but it was not distracting/loud. There's a cafe down at the street corner which was really nice.
Thanks Taya! We had such a great time here and appreciate such a positive experience!
