My wife and I are often here to see the San Francisco branch of our family and we love this place. The apartment is exellent: comfortable (king bed), cosy, lovely equipped, full kitchen, sunny deck, quiet, private parking. nice neighborhood, easy transportation downtown and 24th Street with its great restaurants, cute shops and the Farmer's Market on the weekend. In short: a gem of Noe Valley! Thank you Gracie and Dana!

My wife and I spent over a month in this beautifully furnished and equipped apartment (10/24/2912-11/29/2012) and found the superlatives in other reviews to be accurate. We could have been very happy never leaving the apartment. However, the Noe Valley neighborhood is a great place for walking with many interesting and friendly shops, coffee bars, restaurants, etc. The ease and convenirnce of public transportation: J train for other parts of the city, Bart for other parts of the area makes it easy and economical to get around. -

We just returned from being in San Francisco and staying at this delightful flat! It was everything as described and more! Gracie was so helpful, responding to all inquiries promptly! Since we were only there for two days, her suggestions of restaurants, sights and shopping saved us from spending precious time trying to find our way around. She even found me a stylist to cut and color my hair!
Do take her suggestions to heart, the places we went to were awesome!
The location of the flat was perfect for exploring. Driving was not a hassle, especially with the luxury of a parking space! If not, public transportation is everywhere.
The flat itself is sooo wonderful! That little picture of the porch in the back doesn't really do it justice. There are beautiful cactus and sweet smelling alyssum along with other potted plants and flowers. There's even a lime tree out there. I made a cup of coffee in the huge beautiful kitchen and sat out there each morning. In the evening there was a comfortable lovely living area with a long comfy couch and pillows I found to read my book!
The bedroom is huge with beautiful furniture..the bed is so big and comfy!
Everything was clean and bright!
Also, I can't help but mention the artwork and decorations. There is a framed picture done by a child in the kitchen, two photos of beloved pets and countless other things to bring a smile to your face.
Do stay here. I have no doubt you will leave a little happier and lighthearted than when you arrived! -

convenient, quiet and close to amenities, whether great restaurants, coffee shops, butcher and corner market for fresh fruits and other necessities. close to wine bars, mitchell's ice cream and the mission and valencia vibrant neighborhoods. get on the j church and you're downtown with ease.

My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights in this incredibly charming flat last March. Although it rained the whole time, it did not impede us from having the perfectly quiet vacation we were looking for. Gracie is amazing! So accomodating when I asked if I could send a care package ahead of time for our visit.The kitchen, I absolutely loved. We had friends over for dinner (I used to live in San Francisco for 9 years) and it was perfect for the group of 6 women to catch up, dine, and wine. The location was great. Whole Foods nearby, great little chacutterie and cheese shop nearby. Tartine bakery nearby. It was just nice and reminded me of why I fell in love with San Francisco in the first place.We have vowed to always rent this flat (when available, of course) from Gracie...that is, unless we move there permanently. It was well appointed. All the needs and wants and even my favorites, calla lillies were freshly cut as we entered the flat. Thank you Gracie for making it the vacation we so desperately needed the perfect quiet getaway

My girlfriend and I stayed at this adorable flat a couple weeks ago and it was everything we could have asked for...fully supplied spacious kitchen, Wifi with good connection, tastefully decorated living room and bedroom with comfortable king-sized bed...and wonderful location next to easy transportation downtown and 24th Street, with its great restaurants, bagel shops (try Holey Bagels)and cute shops. The Farmer's Market on the weekend gave us just one more taste of what it would be to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

We came back to this apartment and stayed again some weeks to see our relatives living a few blocks away. So, this is our San Francisco home! Why? Gracie and Dana are great hosts and have done a fantastic job equipping the apartment with anything one would need. Bouquets of fresh flowers are an especially nice touch. The spacious and luxury bed helped us a lot to overcome the jet lag. It was a pleasure to cook in the fully equipped kitchen and the deck overlooking the garden invited us to have breakfast or just to relax in the sun. The cosy neighborhood with its restaurants, cafés and shops invites to stroll around. Off-street parking is very convenient, but basically San Francisco is a great walking town. The Church street car (J) stops nearby and provides a fast connection to the city with access to the whole transportation system. Overall, we highly recommend this gem in Noe Valley.

We decided we wanted to experience San Fran from the perspective of the San Franciscans, so wanted to stay in a nice friendly peaceful neighbourhood where we could explore from. The apartment does not disappoint on any level, it is spacious, homely and the decoration in a period style true to the age of the building is stunning. We loved sitting out on the terrace with a bottle of local wine. We went at the beginning of September and the weather was wonderful, very hot and sunny.
The kitchen is better equipped than ours at home, with everything you need. There are also some nice cafes and take away places nearby.
The enormous bed was extremely comfortable (one of us is 6ft 5inches tall so that was much appreciated) and the area is very peaceful and quiet at night time.
Once we had worked out the local transport system, it was easy to get in to town and to the airport using the J Church Muni street car line, which was a 5 min walk away from the apartment.
Michael and Gracie were very helpful and booking was very easy.
Sebastian the dog kept us from missing our two dogs too much (who were staying with family in the UK) when he came to say hello from downstairs a few times.
Definitely the most relaxing way to see San Fran and feel part of the local culture. We would highly recommend.

Beautiful apartment in a quiet neighborhood with off-street parking just minutes from anywhere you want to go in San Francisco and accessible to public transportation. The apartment is elegant, yet comfortable and breakfast out on the deck in the California sunshine was wonderful. We were there for our honeymoon and everything was perfect. Could not ask for more.

Having lived in this apartment for two weeks (July 27-August 10, 2011) and had an excellent experience, I'm very happy to recommend this rental to others. My husband and I found it clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and extremely well located. The bedroom was quiet and featured a plush king-size bed; closet, drawer, and shelf space abounded. The living room was also nice, but of particular quality were the kitchen and dining area. The owners supplied high-end appliances (a Subzero fridge, Asko dishwasher, and Viking stove), Dansko dishes, and plenty of (granite) counter space. (Sorry if this is sounding like product placement; it's not - I was just struck by their investment in quality products for the property.) Our 22-year-old son inhabited the alcove next to the kitchen for one week of our stay. With privacy and access to the flat-screen TV and other electronics, he was quite comfortable. All of us liked the enthusiastic visits from Sebastian, the owners' dog, who would bound in from downstairs to greet us when we left the backdoor open (which signals how secure the back area is). With the J Church half a block away and a parking space right outside the door, we felt very lucky: we could get on the highway easily from Cesar Chavez or San Jose ave, or we could hop on the trolley to go straight downtown. Nearby were also some great restaurants (La Ciccia is a standout), and 24th Street just a 10-minute walk. Best of all was the deck: jasmine covers the fence; Bernal Heights is in the distance; peace and quiet reign. One last remark: the scent of jasmine greeted us when we arrived, the owners thoughtfully having filled three vases with flowers. We'd go back to this place in a heartbeat.

Have just returned after a wonderful week in this beautiful apartment. It had everything you could want, in fact so well equiped that it felt like home. We enjoyed sitting on the little terrace enjoying the beautiful sunshine and a glass of wine. If I could have taken the very comfortable king size bed home with me I would!!! Nice to stay in a residential area and see the real San Fransisco, but, only a short streetcar ride from everything you would want to see and do. Noe Valley has some lovely coffee shops, shoppping and restaurants if you don't feel like being in the busy town centre. Gracie and Dana were so helpful and informative in giving us information about the area and places to visit. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one.

My husband and I recently spent a wonderful week at this lovely apartment in Noe Valley. Dana and Gracie were great hosts and have done a fantastic job equipping the apartment with anything one would need. The place has ample room and is very comfortable and nicely decorated. We also loved the deck with the fragrant flowers and the panoramic view of the nearby hills. The location is really convenient to great dining, nearby corner grocery shops and the Muni. No need for a car. We really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and soaking up the local environment. Thanks Dana and Gracie for providing such a relaxing place that we called home for the week. We look forward to future stays for sure!

This Vrbo was an excellent choice for my wife and I. We had a very confortable stay and visit with our son who lives in SFO.
The location was perfect for all of our travels within the City and drive down Hiway 1. Also very convenient to the fine shops and eateries in Noe Valley.
Definitely would stay again and recommend to family and friends for their next visit. -

When I began checking apartments to rent in San Francisco for a summer vacation, I had four main criteria: a king size bed, on-site parking, a place for our adult daughter to spend a portion of the week with us, and a neighborhood that reflected the personality of the city. Gracie and Dana's apartment met those criteria and so much more. When I first contacted Gracie, I asked, "Is it really as beautiful and it looks in the photographs?", and she responded "yes." Trust the photographs! From the time we entered the apartment on the first day to find fresh flowers in every room, to the beautiful new linens that arrived during our stay for the extra bed, the owners made every effort to make their home seem like our home. We spent mornings eating breakfast that we made in the well-furnished kitchen, afternoons walking/driving/taking mass transit to explore the city, and evenings walking to various restaurants in the neighborhood. Whether we were snuggled up in the sunroom or using the Wi-fi to check work e-mail, we felt like we could settle in and enjoy every moment of our visit. Gracie and Dana are charming, and their taste in decorating displays an amazing love of the arts. This is a home with personality and soul! I would highly recommend a stay there; every amenity is considered, and the cost is extremely reasonable given the quality and the location.

We so enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated flat in a terrific neighborhood. Gracie was terrific, and provided lots of helpful information that made our stay that much better. I recommended this flat to my parents, who stayed here and really enjoyed it, too. We'd love to stay here again!

This is a lovely apartment for two people. It's in a good neighborhood. You'll need time to get to tourist attractions, however the J-Church trolley stops just about in front of the door. The back porch is a nice extra.

When my husband and I were looking for a place to stay in San Francisco while we celebrated our anniversary, we had two major criteria: convenience and comfort. We were so lucky to find both of these things with this rental!
Aside from the pleasant walks to Dolores Parks, the tasty eats of the Mission district and Noe Valley itself, the J-Church line was convenient and perfectly accessible to take us downtown to see the shows we were attending.
The rental itself had a deck for lounging, a large open kitchen for cooking, and an overall sense of peace and comfort that I haven't experienced with many others.
The property owners were both as engaging and enchanting as there home. A+! -

This fully equipped, conveniently located, nicely decorated and comfortable one bedroom apartment was perfect for our four day visit to Ca. It's location was ideal for us as it is near our daughter 's home and we will rent it again for a short stay. The lack of a clothes washer and dryer would make it inconvenient for a longer stay. However, the parking space and the rear deck are wonderful amenities and the owners are delightful landlords.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary. We had a very
enjoyable stay - the location is perfect for walking to 24th street,
with all its shops and restaurants, and the amenities were comfortable.
When we weren't eating out at Chloe's or Fresca, the gas range made
cooking a pleasure, and the sun porch in the back was a great spot for a
nap. Overall, I would definitely recommend this rental. -

We were so pleased to stay in this charming apartment during our visit
to San Francisco. The decor is very elegant and the owners provided all
the amenities to make us very comfortable. This apartment is very quiet
which is a big plus, as I am a light sleeper. This was our first time
staying in Noe Valley and we got to explore the neighborhood, thoroughly
enjoying it's restaurants and quaint shops. We highly recommend this
apartment and the location.

We had a wonderful experience staying in this flat. It was extremely
comfortable, quiet and very classy. My wife really liked the bath and
bed linens and the luxurious king bed with down comforter. We spent a
lot of time in the kitchen which is very large - filled with natural
light and ceramic tiles (has a very European feel). The outdoor deck off
the kitchen is quite fabulous too. The convenience of having a parking
space was terrific. This flat is a steal for the price!
