We stayed for a couple nights at this beautiful quite place and had a great time! The host family was really kind and we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this place for young couples who want to experience the lifestyle in this neighbourhood rather than a touristy downtown place. There are lots of nice coffee bars around and the bus stop near by.
Its the perfect place to start your SF journey and feel like a local. -

We have stayed at the Mission Secret 4 times, all stays for at least a week. Originally selected for its proximity to our daughter's home in the Mission, it has proven to be very comfortable, quiet and friendly. Karl and Naomi are excellent hosts. There are numerous coffee shops, restaurants and points of interest within walking distance. The bus stop to downtown San Francisco is one block away and Bart is about a 15-20 min walk.
A couple of things visitors should take into account. First, this is a small studio not well suited to a couple needing individual privacy. Second, the young children in the host family can be a little boisterous in the am especially on school days. So don't count on sleeping in. Finally, San Francisco can be cold at night so be sure to get instructions on using the space heater and don't forget your pj's. -

The lower level room was cozy and beautifully decorated. The bed was nice and the shower was terrific. The location was perfect for us ... close to Bart, Muni, Mission District, and even a yoga class. The microwave, refirigerator, and sink allowed us to make breakfast which was nice.
It was a very tight space and the toilet was behind a louvered door so there was little privacy for that aspect of visit. The access to the room thorugh the tidy garage was a bit awkward but I believe that the owners will be improving the lighting.
The price was right and the owners were super. We had a wonderful visit. -

Mission Secret is very clean and comfortable; nicely arranged and fully equipped with the essentials. A beautiful backyard is also available for guests.

This is a really sweet tiny apartment in the mission - very easy to get to, quiet, lovely outdoor space with everything you'd need. Would not recommend for two friends or non related people - there's a lot of intimacy in the room (for example, the shower is right in the bedroom). For us, it was perfect. My only complaint, which I shared w/ the owners at the time, was that there was no mirror in the room. they had thought of all the other details (including, but not limited to a yoga mat!). I am certain they've made that improvement since then.

Nous avons séjourné dans un petit 1 et demi très confortable pour la grandeur de la pièce. Nous avons apprécier tout les accessoires fournis par nos hôtes qui, assurément, ont le sens du détail; très apprécié par les voyageur. En effet, tout est pensé afin d'accommoder les visiteurs.
Naomi et Karl sont d'excellent hôte. Leur accueil chaleureux et leurs conseils font d'eux des personnes que l'ont n'oubli pas !
