This has to be the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a few. From the ease of booking to the ease of checkout, everything was perfect. Very clean and tastefully furnished, and much roomier than we expected. Couldn't ask for a better location, close to everything we wanted to do, and if not, close to public transportation. The kitchen was fully equipped and modern, and the outdoor garden was perfect to enjoy the weather with a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. And best of all were the hosts, Andrew and Steffi. They made sure there was no detail left out for a perfect stay. We arrived early in the morning and departed late in the afternoon. Normally in this case we would have to lug around luggage waiting for checkin or just go to the airport early. They gave us instructions on storing our luggage in their garage so we pretty much added two more half days to our trip! Our trip was so perfect that we have decided to come back this year. Hopefully this apartment will be available for our trip!

Comfortable and convenient

Our daughter lives in Noe Valley and we stayed at both the one bedroom and the studio during our visit in Mach. The hosts are solicitous, the beds comfortable, and both kitchens were so well equipped that we were able to both eat in and host dinner. A really nice place, convenient, and we will return!

Abu Dhabi, UAEAmazing place in great neighborhood!

My wife and I stayed for five days this past June at andrew and Steffi's place. This was our first time staying in a vacation rental. Not only did it exceed our expectations as far as what we got for the money but we discovered the day-to-day experience of living in (The Castro neighborhood) in San Francisco. The owners were attentive and provided us with tips about getting around (on packed cable cars too), they have a map made just for their guest of local things to-do, but beyond that they left us to ourselves. The apartment is very spacious and the garden and patio are key for direct access to greenery and fresh air. There's a full kitchen that is great for cooking. The bedroom was great too with a king-sized bed. The place looks like the pictures, also a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed the place and it made San Francisco, San Francisco :)

Johannesburg, South AfricaGreat location, perfectly appointed, excellently priced

Although we didn't get to meet Andrew and Steph (they were overseas), they left us the most incredible list of suggestions for places to go and things to see. The neighbour was also really sweet and available if we needed anything.
SF was amazing and this was the perfect, peaceful spot to rest at the end of a long day. It almost felt like we were living as locals and we didn't want to leave! Everything worked perfectly and there was a coin-operated washing machine and dryer in the basement, which was incredibly useful as we stayed for nine nights.
Having tons of space (the kitchen is great) and being able to make our own breakfast, as well as enjoy all the delicious food we bought from the Ferry Building market, was a million times better than a hotel. They also have a proper coffee machine and grinder, which made my husband very happy indeed.
The courtyard garden was lovely to sit in when the weather was sunny and the bathroom was very well finished. The bed was slightly soft for our liking, but we really like it firm so it's probably perfect for most people. The wi-fi was fast and reliable.
We were also a short walk from Castro Street, the subway and many bus routes. You really don't need a car in SF and I was happy we didn't have one.
Compared to how much you would spend on a hotel or some other vacation rentals that aren't half as nice, this apartment was an absolute gem and even better than it looks in the photos. We will definitely stay here next time we're in SF - and I hope that's soon. -

Andrew was such a huge help in our lovely, and unfortunately too short, stay with him. He allowed us to check in very early, as the room was ready for us. I was pleased to find that the apartment is even cuter than the pictures on the site. Usually it's the other way around! He gave us an extensive list of local businesses and restaurants that we found very helpful. It is located in easy walking distance to lots of what Castro has to offer. We have been to San Francisco many times before, but had never experienced it like this, as locals. Castro is a beautiful neighborhood full of friendly people, fantastic little eateries, and pop'n'pop (as opposed to mom'n'pop) shops. Haha! We will definitely stay here again!

We had such a great time. The apartment was wonderful. The garden patio was a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast and coffee. Great Markets, Restaurants, and Shops near by. Easily accessible to the Muni and everything you would want to do in San Francisco. Can't wait to come back!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the apartment for 4 days and we were more than satisfied. When we went there everything was brand new and the apartment itself or has is beautiful and well designed. It actually looks better than the photos. Moreover, everything inside from beddings to kitchenware to the TV is of quality, something very rare went you rent an apartment for that price. Overall we considered ourselves very lucky to have found such a place in this perfect location.
Andrew and Stephanie were not in town when we were there but andrew's brother Christian welcomed us. He was very nice and gave us maps and notes about all the restaurants, boutiques, grocery stores etc. in the neighborhood. -

I live in SF and my parents came in for a week to stay at this apt. The space is beautiful, perfect for a couple looking to explore the city from a central location, or take a short walk to the heart of the castro. Steph and Andrew were SUPER accommodating, make my parents feel very welcome, and even provided complimentary coffee, granola, champagne, etc!
The garden is beautiful and the place is newly redone with brand new furniture and appliances and kitchen. Parking is super easy as well.
Would definitely recommend a stay here.
Thanks Andrew and Steph! -

Who would have thought you could have so much charm in a city apartment. Andrew, and his wife Steffi, have a wonderful place and have decorated it so comfortably.
In addition to a great location, large kitchen and comfy king size bed, there is a beautiful PATIO with lovely plantings. We even saw humming birds coming to the colorful flowers where we drank our morning coffee. We only cooked one night because it is located near so many restaurants, but the supermarket is only a block away. As visitors to San Francisco we wanted to see the sights and that was easy since there are buses on the corner and the subway about 2 blocks away.
We have told all our friends about this wonderful "find" with its charming "secret garden". Don't miss out on this one!
