Melbourne AustraliaA Great place to stay!
Left on 05/23/2013 for a stay in May 2013
Casa Feliz was a great place to stay in the heart of the Catsro district. Easy to get to public transport and excellent shopping 2 blocks away. The apartment was well furnished and supplied with all that you need. The owner was great and provided us with lots of information concerning the area and San Fransisco in general. I will be looking to book this again and would recommend highly to other travellers. Make sure you wear good walking shoes in San Fransisco.

Left on 03/11/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Casa Feliz is in the Noe Valley of San Francisco, a trendy area of Victorian duplexes, families with baby strollers, dogs on leashes, and Whole Foods. The apartment is spotless and completely remodeled and updated inside. Workers were refurbishing the little private backyard while we were there which featured a beautiful plum tree in full bloom. The apt is three steep blocks up from 24th Street which has great shopping and cafes. We rented bikes for the week and Wendy let us keep them in the locked garage. In fact, Wendy is the best part of this rental. She is lovely and kind and completely on top of everything, including sending me web sites for bike rentals, directions from the airport and anything else I mentioned needing. Rental fees are very reasonable, and you'll feel you have your own home in San Francisco.

Thank you so much for your thoughts on the rental and my management of it. I try very hard to make sure all of my guests are happy and I am glad my efforts were a success! :) The yard is done, it's fantastic and I hope you will be back some time to see and enjoy it. Hope Spring comes soon for you-snow, snow go away. :)

EdmontonSuperb Stay in San Francisco
Left on 12/29/2012 for a stay in September 2011
Please note that I stayed at this property a little over a year ago and am now just posting my review on tripadvisor. Our married friends and my husband and I thought checking out a new city as a group of almost thirty-somethings would be a fun thing to do before having kids. We chose Casa Feliz because of its advertised location and other good reviews and are so glad that we did! Wendy is an excellent communicator - always very quick with her responses and thorough in her instructions. We found the apartment with ease, taking public transportation the entire way. Check in was a breeze and the apartment is exactly as pictured: enough room for 4 and tidy. The neighborhood is full of character and exciting things to do - I'd highly recommend visiting "Anchor" (an oyster bar in Castro) for dinner and also "La Boulange" for lunch (and no, that's not an error - it's how it's spelled). Both were about an 8 minute walk away. The Muni stop is right next to the bakery. Noe Valley is a charming neighborhood with Edwardian style houses (who needs the Painted Ladies?!) and tons of quaint little shop ranging from clothing to antique knobs. We were there for 5 days, and did everything from staying in to watch movies after shopping at the local Organic foods store to being away all day. Our belongings felt very secure there as the neighborhood is very quiet and well maintained. After seeing many other neighborhoods in San Francisco, this remains my top choice. We communicated with Wnedy after and also very promptly received our deposit back without any fuss. An excellent host! Very happy with Casa Feliz and would highly recommend.

You could not ask for a better place. Everything you would want while away from home. Casa Feliz was perfect for us. You could cook if you wanted to (which we did not)coffee in the morning and a great deck to relax on after touring the city. We are sorry for two things that we did not spend the week at Casa Feliz (only 4 days) and we did not get to meet Wendy. But it is a perfect place to stay also very close to the bus line. We loved the place and hoping the next time we go back to San Francisco we will be able to stay there!

Left on 10/23/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I come to SF for business frequently and often bring my baby and a grandparent or two to help take care of them. The two bedroom home in lovely Noe Valley, easily accessible from the Muni and just a few blocks from Whole Foods, makes these trips easy and comfortable. The owner is exceptionally responsible and helpful-she provides all the major baby gear we need and was available to help me find a pharmacy at a moment's notice when I had a sick grandparent on my hands :) It's easy to heat prepared food in the comfortable kitchen and to spread out in the spacious dining room, bedrooms and bathroom. I highly recommend this for families and for friends traveling together.

This rental is in an awesome location. A couple blocks away to small shops and cafes. About 10min drive to downtown area, maybe 15mins to Fishermans Wharf, 15mins to Candlestick Park. Tough to find parking but still a lovely place. Just enough space for about 4 people. We mainly were in the area for football games and seeing what San Francisco had to offer. Would definitely come again!

Thank you for the review & I agree with you about the parking-lately-there has been a lot of construction in the area causing a parking squeeze, but it should be over with soon. Thank you again! :)

Toronto, CanadaCozy and Well Kept
Left on 10/04/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed here for a week with our 2 children 5 and 7 years old. We found the apartment to be tastefully furnished and welcoming after a long day in the city. It is well equipped with appliances/pots, linens and towels, hairdryer, ironing board, and also all the little things like dish-washing liquid and salt/sugar that are a nuisance to buy or bring. The washroom is spacious, and we enjoyed the shower which let in lots of natural light. The beds are very comfortable, and there is lots of closet space. The location is safe and quiet. The steps up to the apartment are steep, but we were well aware of them in advance. We walked to Bi-rite Creamery for some awesome ice cream, and found a neat children's park on the way (Dolores Mission Park). We rented a car from the airport. We found the parking on the streets sometimes cumbersome, particularly if we were coming home late. The steeply inclined streets were an adjustment for us. But this is the case for the whole city. We did not try out the transit system. We found the Whole Foods nearby handy, but also found s Safeway further away (car) for the rest of our groceries. We were happy that we could recycle some of our garbage at the apartment. Correspondence with Wendy was straightforward, prompt and precise, and the how-to booklet left in the apartment was simple and user friendly. There were no surprises, except that we felt the apartment was more lovely in real life than we imagined from the photos, with very high ceilings. We had a very enjoyable stay here, and we would come back again.

First of all, thanks Wendy for the opportunity to stay in this cozy, comfy place. Right from the start, the owner was quick to respond and everything went very smoothly. It felt like home as soon as we walked in! The area was within close walking distance to Whole foods market and the many shops of 24th street. We didn't have to take the car for most of the stay which was a week. Public transport was simple and quick. We are in good physical shape so the hills weren't a problem. We also made ourselves right at home by cooking our meals at dinner, so didn't get to any of the local restaurants except for one night we ate at a Mexican restaurant on Castro, but the name escapes me. The beds were super comfy with great mattresses. The bathroom is huge and very bright with a great shower. In the living room is a nice flat screen tv and nice big sofa and huge chair with foot stool. The kitchen had everything you needed with modern appliances and quite spacious. We also thought the location was great, on a quiet street so we could keep our bedroom window open at night and enjoy the fresh air, also parking was not a problem on the street. There was air conditioning, so if we needed it, it was there. Outside was a back deck which was sunny with some views of the water. When we return to San Francisco, we would love to stay at Casa Feliz again.

Left on 06/07/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We recently stayed at Casa Feliz for five nights and were delighted to find it was more than we expected. The flat was warm, roomy, inviting with beautiful architectural features. The bathroom was spotless, modern and roomy as was the kitchen. We loved the location with many great restaurants in walking distance and a grocery store. Everywhere we drove in San Francisco, from Fishermen's Wharf to the Presidio and airport were fifteen to twenty minute drives. The street parking was easy and the area surprisingly quiet and serene. Our best stay in San Francisco so far and we've been many times. Wendy was a joy to correspond with and we felt we were arriving at our own home, with ease of entry and departure. Have no complaints whatsoever and even sharing the single bathroom with our young adult daughter was harmonious and hastle-free.

Noe Valley and 24th St is just a great place in SF to hang out and the public transportation is as simple as it gets. This rental is just a few blocks from 24th St. The unit is real comfortable (beds were fabulous), the neighborhood is quiet, and the price is a bargain for the city. We cannot wait to return in april or May. The owner was great to deal with.

We really loved our Casa Feliz apartment. The bathroom and kitchen are new, the beds are comfy and we had great views from the deck. We were told parking would be easy to find and it was. There were markets and good restaurants three blocks away. When requested, the owner provided clear, precise directions around the area and how to get to certain places in S.F.
