I stayed here for four weeks and I hit the jackpot in finding Kathy and her Cozy Little Getaway (CLG). I decided to book based on the 23 positive reviews available at the time of my search and they were all spot on.
This place is everything you could want and more if you're looking for a home away for home. Everything you could want (home-wise) is at your fingertips. Staying here took a lot of the stress out of being in a new city. It really became my sanctuary. The apartment is furnished to a good standard. The bed is by far one of the best beds I've ever slept on. The only drawback for me is that the apartment only had a walk-in shower (I'm a bath person), but that did not impact on my stay at all. The shower had great pressure and I found the the decor of the whole apartment very relaxing and calming.
The apartment is located in great residential area, and situated on the ground floor which was great for me as I had a fair amount of luggage. I was aware of some street noises during the evening and night but I was never disturbed by it.
Clg is in very close walking distance to great amenities (2 minutes). There are a few very good restaurants that are not expensive (try alice's). There are coffee shops near by and a few convenience and mini-grocery stores. The apartment is located in an excellent location. You can get downtown in less than 20 minutes using the nearby public transport.
Kathy was very responsive to any questions or queries I had before and during my stay. She was wonderfully helpful and friendly on my arrival and I am genuinely sad to have have to leave. I'm already homesick for this place. I wish I lived here permanently! -

Our stay at the "Cozy Little Getaway" was wonderful. Kathy our host made us feel right at home. She was very responsive to our needs. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with the things we needed for our stay. The location is excellent. It is just one block away from the J - line for convenient travel all over San Francisco. The neighborhood is safe, friendly with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores within walking distance. We highly recommend this apartment!

San Francisco was the last stop on our month long tour of the us. Everything up to then had been perfect, and Kathy's wonderful appartment didn't disappoint! On arrival Kathy greeted us and took us on a tour off her beautiful Noe valley! That made things so much easier for us. The J Church, favourite restaurants, places of interests, Kathy left nothing out! We were extremely lucky with the record breaking warm weather we had which added to all the exploring of this beautiful city! Kathy is a warm and generous host who welcomes people like us into her home. We have made a new friend!

We arrived from the UK for a 5 day visit to see our student daughter and then on to a walking trip in the south west before returning to SF and a stop-over in New York. Tired after a 10 hour flight, we were warmly welcomed by Kathy who provided us with just the right information for us to find what we needed. The flat is very comfortable, had everything we required and more and was just as described. The area is quiet (our daughter had advised us that many SF areas described as 'hip' = 'a bit too noisy for our taste'). There is plenty of choice of local restaurants and we mainly shopped at the wholefood store on 24th street close to its intersection with Sanchez about half a mile away - great variety although not cheap. The farmers' market on 24th street is cheaper for fresh produce, but was not always open when we needed it. We are keen to walk, so found the mile or so trip to 24th st Mission Bart fine, however there is a Muni stop a block away which connects to the Bart as well. From the flat you can walk up to Diamond Heights for great views and Golden Gate Park is a 2 hour energetic walk away via Twin Peaks. We plan to return to SF next year, and would definitely return here provided it was available. Many thanks to Kathy for getting our holiday off to such a great start.

If you are looking to explore San Francisco, this is the perfect base situated in Noe Valley convenient to 24th Street and a lot of neat little shops.
Since I made the reservation, Kathy (the owner) answered all of my questions promptly and made check-in a breeze. As soon as we arrived, she made sure we had a parking spot right in front of the house, and took us on a quick (and personalized) tour of the neighborhood. I must say, Kathy was an exceptional host and "landlord". She made sure we had everything we needed, answered all our questions, and brought us a homemade cake to commemorate our honeymoon (she called it "left overs" for another party she was baking for, but it was gorgeous and delicious!)
The home was well-appointed and clean. Wireless internet was provided and was easy to setup and exceptionally fast. The area was very clean and safe, and only blocks away from the quaint "24th Street". The only thing I would recommend is to keep the bathroom window open, as there is no exhaust fan.
Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say for this rental and Kathy. She makes you feel right at home, and the apartment is the perfect place to relax or go into San Francisco. For us, it was the perfect honeymoon destination, and I highly recommend that you give it a try too! -

This property and its "landlord" are excellent. First of all, the rental is exactly like the pictures; there will be no surprises. Everything was well appointed and clean. Wireless internet access was fast and easy. Although we drove almost everywhere, public transportation was right around the corner and was easily accessible.
Just a few blocks away (by foot) was the quaint "24th Street" in Noe Valley that offered restaurants, shops, a Whole Foods, etc., for daytime and evening entertainment.
Kathy, the owner, is an absolute joy and made our week-long stay (our honeymoon) absolutely fantastic. Not only did she help us with parking and give us a personalized tour of the neighborhood when we arrived, but she also made us a small chocolate mousse cake with chocolate dipped strawberries for our honeymoon (she was baking for another party, and called ours "leftovers" but it was superb). Kathy made the check-in and check-out process super simple and even called to remind us to move our car during street cleaning.
I really can't say enough great things about this rental. If you are going to San Francisco for any amount of time, this is the perfect rental. Its close and convenient to everything and Kathy is right upstairs if there is anything that you need! Thanks for everything Kathy; you really made our honeymoon memorable! -

We recently stayed here for our honeymoon. We loved the apartment, the location, and Kathy is amazing. She was there if we needed anything. we walked everywhere!! the Chinese restaurant across the street, convenient store on the corner and I would walk to the cafe down around the corner for my morning latte. so many cute shops around us and any transportation we needed was just a block away. We will be staying here again in the future!!

We found Kathy to be so open and genereous, greeting us with a bottle of wine on arrival and helping us in any way she could through our stay of one month. The unit contains everything you need, and if it doesn't Kathy will make sure it does. The location is superb,the positive energy of Noe Valley is obvious, and the transport so easily available to get around S.F.. Just walk down one block for the J church into the city, or the 24 trolley to Castro where the F muni starts for Fishermans Wharf, via the city, or the metro is just over the road. [Zoo].
The air conditioning is set to warm the apartment prior to rising,and can be adjusted any time. We found it was very pleasant to have the warmth when we got up, and then could sit and watch this vibrant suburb come alive throught the large windows, with the sun streaming in nearly all day long.

The area was perfect for us, 20 mins to the city but far enough away to relax in peace and quiet.

We had concert tickets in SF and left our lodging until the last minute. We really lucked out with this place! Kathy (who owns the building) was so incredibly helpful getting us to the apartment and then went out of her way to give us a little tour of the neighborhood. The place itself was perfect! Very clean and had everything we needed. When we booked, I wasn't familiar with the location but it turned out to be in a great part of town. We walked to dinner and breakfast and could easily get downtown by the J Church. We really mastered the public transportation this time around. We had such a great time that we have talked about coming up with a larger group and trying to rent out multiple units in the building.

This great 1 bedroom apartment was well equipped with all the essentials. The location suited us as it was close to some fantastic restaurants (we recommend the Thai restaurant up the road) and was only a short tram ride into the heart of the city. Our host was fantastic and went out of her way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.

My Husband and I had already been travelling around west coast of USa for a little over a week, when we can to San Fran, I was really looking forward to not being in a hotel and i was not disappointed! This great one bedroom appartment is wonderful with everything you need or want. We got to live as locals and walk the hills with the people, The location is amazing. Everything is on hand, supermarket down the street as well as a wholefoods in other direction, restaurants in every direction, the J-car around the corner to take you into town and the centre of Noe valley just in walking distance.
The appartment has a very comfy bed, a great kitchen,if you want to cook,Great lounge room and there is a washer/dryer room too.
A big shout out to Kathy, our wonderful host who treated us like old friends coming for a visit. She's a gem!
I would recommend anyone coming to San Fran to stay here, just not when I want to come back:)

This apartment is great, exactly as you see in the pictures, but there's even more to it than that! It is well stocked and exceptionally clean, I don't think there was a single thing we needed that wasn't there. With a very very comfortable bed!
Kathy was the perfect hostess, a lovely woman who was extremely accomodating starting from when we requested to split our stay as we planned to travel around in the middle of our holiday. She was on hand to help without being intrusive, better than any hotel I've stayed in.
The area is well worth exploring, some lovely restuarants, cafes and shops. And we would recommend alice's, the Chinese restuarant opposite, lovely fresh food, and alex's handy shop next door. Alex himself was a really sound bloke, very helpful.

From our first contact with the host, Kathy, we knew it was the right choice. Until then, we had always stayed in hotels and payed more for less comfort.
Kathy is such an obliging and likable person - she even switched a few things around so we could stay exactly as long as we initially planned to (all the other apartments were booked already).
The apartments are really as cozy and comfy (and clean) as shown in the pictures. We were lucky to see all of them. The kitchen was fully supplied, but we didn't need it, since there are so many upscale restaurants nearby.
We chose Noe Valley, because our friends live there, but Noe Valley itself is also worth a visit. Its bistros, coffee shops, and bookstores are always lively.
Our 4 months-old daughter definitely enjoyed her first trip to Sf's "stroller city" (Noe Valley's nickname).
We had a car for the last few days and parking wasn't a problem.

Wow!!! What a fantastic experience and wonderful location. Clean, beautifully appointed, comfy beds and great pillows, everything was of a very high standard.Fantastic location in the Noe Valley 15mins to the city by bus or tram which is at the doorstep.Beautiful homes and great people in this neighbourhood.Very safe. Close to great restaurants and the must visit 24th street. Highly recommend Martha Brothers Coffee Shop on 24th St, the best coffee in the USa. Also recommend St Pauls grocery shop on the opposite corner to the apartment, has nearly everything and very cheap. Recommend the donuts and the Roast Beef sandwich with cream cheese, swiss cheese tomato and mustard made by alex who has worked in the store for 38 years, what a great guy. Kathy the owner is a real gem, friendly and helpful not only providing a choice of wonderful apartments in varying sizes but a valuable orientation to the area. We cant recommend the apartments and the location highly enough, being part of this neighbourhood for the 5 days was one of the highlights of our 4 weeks in the USa. We will definately recommend this accommodation to our family and friends and cherish the memories we have of our stay here forever. Hope to return soon.

I booked this apartment in San Francisco to visit my son at university. It was spacious, in a lovely quiet and safe neighbourhood with excellent facilities on 24th Street.Nearby public transport to downtown San Francisco was first class.The owner, Kathy,was a brilliant hostess - helpful, friendly and went out of her way to make me welcome. I loved every minute and will book for next summer.

This building actually has four units for rent. We stayed in a corner, ground floor unit. The apartment is very attractive with lots of natural natural light. an up-to-date kitchen, and a very comfortable queen bed. The bath was a bit cramped, but spotless and attractive. The owner, Cathy, lives upstairs and was readily available had there been any issues. Nearby restaurants and easy bus access made the location a good one, plus street parking for our car was readily available. Noe Valley is just south of the Castro District. It's a little quieter so you have to walk a bit to find nightlife.

Delightful, light , contemporary apartment with very helpful, generous host. We found Kathy to be very helpful but not at all intrusive. The flat was perfectly appointed with fresh modern feel to it. The complementary bottle of wine was typical of Kathy's generosity. She was available for any questions we had, advice about San Francisco. The district of Noho was 10mins by frequent tram to city and in a lovely part of inner San Francisco. The local shopping street, 24th Street was full of great coffee shops and boutique clothing shops. Plenty of restaurants around although we cooked for ourselves. All in all, I could happily move in to live in Kathy's apartment!

We were initially abit unsure about whether to stay in an apartment or a hotel in San Fran but we are thrilled to have made this choice. This place was goregous, cozy and well stocked. The central heating in this place made it so comfortable and homely. The photos do not do this place justice! Noe Valley was such a beautiful village and set among gorgeous architecture, parks and playgrounds. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in this area and some of the best coffee shops i've ever tried! The apartment was also really close to the city and main attractions. Transport was great from here and parking was easy. Kathy, the owner, was so helpful and full of heart, great local ideas and tips. She greeted us with a bottle of wine, fresh coffee and even gave us a tour around the neighborhood. We would highly recommend staying here.

For our holiday in San Francisco we didn't want to stay at a hotel amidst all the tourists, and renting this apartment was a great way of enjoying the city! It is light and spacious and is fully equipped. The owner Kathy is very welcoming, helpful and full of local knowledge. Noe Valley is a very friendly neighbourhood with many places to eat and drink right on the doorstep and on 24th St (the main artery 10 min walk away, with also many independent shops). Public transport is good. There is a J tram stop close by and it takes 15-20 min to get downtown with some great scenery along the way. A great choice!

Staying at McCahill's house is a treat. The unit is large enough to accommodate two people. The bed is great!
It has all the comforts of home ~ fully equipped kitchen and bathroom sundries are provided.
The location is wonderful. Safe. Residential. There is no need to have a car. The Bart and J line provide transportation. The neighborhood has good restaurants,a corner grocery store, Xoxo Cafe and a butcher shop all within walking distance.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay. -

I stayed in this apartment block on two occasions, Feb 2011 and april 2011 and I am booked for my third stay in July. I love this apartment, bright, airy, modern with lovely added features and touches. Kathy has made me feel so welcome and made sure that my stay has been comfortable at all times. The neighbourhood has a warm feel, people are so friendly and travel time to the city is about 15/20 minutes. I highly recommend this apartment, I loved my time here and looking forward to returning in a few months.
