What Past Guests Are Saying
It's a great home - the pictures do not cheat.
Cosy and homely.
Nice neighborhood, good shops and restaurants and lovely park.
Clean and tidy and well equipped kitchen.
We would definitely like to rent the apartment next time we visit SF.
Excellent and tasteful accomodation in a nice neighborhood
We stayed in the apartment for four nights and we enjoyed every minute of it. The apartment has been tastefully renovated and is nicely furnished. So what you see on the pictures is what you get - plus a great deal more. The apartment is situated in a nice and interesting neighborhood with good cafés and restaurants within walking distance (including the very nice restaurant Foreign Cinema). It was the perfect accommodation for our visit to San Francisco with our 15 year old daughter. What we also really liked was the attention to all the small details in the apartment, from welcome drinks in the fridge, to magazines, fast internet connection, excellent beds, nice outdoor area at the back etc. All in all a very positive experience which I would not hesitate to recommend to other visitors to San Francisco.
Home away from Home!
We found the SF Vacation abode through a Vacation website and are extremely happy we did. We now have our SF getaway retreat nailed. Everything about it was comfortable and relaxing. Close to our favorite spots and easy access to public transportation. Beautiful design and an amazing view. We will be back soon!!

Beautifully decorated apartment in an amazing location!
This place is an absolute jewel, it is a beautifully decorated and spacious apartment in a historical and cool San Francisco neighborhood. It is close to many great restaurants and bars, plus Dolores park is right around the corner. The apartment is clean, and it has everything to make you feel at home.

Great apartment, awesome host
We have been in the apartment for eight nights, the place is so well decorated and has everything you could need in a home. Alan is this gentle guy who makes you feel home and helps you out in what you need.
We had some delivers that came in days that we were not there, and alan was so kind to receive that for us (he lives in the apartment next door). The beds are amazingly comfortable, very good quality linen, and towels. Everything new and working properly! The only thing you may miss is another bathroom, or at least a lavatory, but this is wanting for perfection! Also, if you are elder or have some disability problem, you may have to think about the stairs...
The renting process was clear and easy. Well, if we come back to San Francisco we will definitely stay there again! Highly recommended!
beautiful - classy - clean ** let's say excellent !
We thank alain for the warm welcome. This combo we would recommend to anyone who stays in SF. For two person it is not cheap, but for three or four person affordable - and worth it!
A classy combo with lots of individual accesssoires. Comfortable beds and linen. The kitchen with every kitchenware you need. Even a hairdryer for the women in the bathroom and cuddly towels. If I could wish something for the next time, it would be some fly screens at the windows. Everything else is perfect and wants us to come back soon.
The public transportation (Muni) is so close / at the Dolores Park and gets you everywhere. Details/routes are provided in alans Map. And of course many maps and information around and about SF as well.
Ps: Get yourself the San Francisco City Pass - 7 days free Muni is inluded.
Thanks again for the wonderful stay!

A perfectly gorgeous place to stay in a wonderful city
This gorgeous apartment ticked all the boxes for us. It's very stylishly decorated, super comfortable and has all the useful amenities you could wish for. There were only 2 of us but it's plenty big enough to sleep 4/5, and you still wouldn't be getting under each other's feet or anything. It's in a fantastic location, just down the hill from lovely and relaxed Noe Valley and just up the hill from all the gourmet and shopping buzz of Mission and Valencia St (and Castro is just a bit further away too), so you could spend your entire trip in either or all of these neighbourhoods and have a really fantastic San Francisco experience without ever venturing further afield. However it's just across the road from a stop on the J Church Muni line, so really convenient for getting into the city and beyond too. Alan was a friendly and very accommodating host. He lives upstairs so was on hand to sort us out when we pressed all the wrong buttons on the TV and thought we had broken it... but also left us alone to just enjoy our stay in private. If you want to stay somewhere with character, but with every home comfort, and most importantly, out of the hectic, tourist-heavy city centre, then I really couldn't recommend this place highly enough. We'd go back in a heartbeat.
Can't wait to visit again!
We stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely loved it! The property is updated, clean and in a charming, quiet neighborhood. It has a very comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen, comfy sofa and everything you need in a home away from home.
It's located right near a beautiful park with great views and within easy walking distance of tons of eateries, including Tartine (an amazing bakery/cafe).
Alan, the owner, was always very responsive and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Beautiful apt in a Great Neighbourhood
Four of us traveled to SF for a 4 day holiday. The apartment was the perfect place for us to set out to see the city. The location is great: a block from a gorgeous park, a short walk to a number of great restaurants (Delfina, Tacqueria Cancun, Tartine), close to the Bart, and in Mission, which is such a fun neighbourhood to wander. The apartment itself is beautifully furnished, and the owner, Alan, has thought of all the little things that make your stay comfortable: salt and pepper, hair dryer, extra towels, an information binder about the apt and the city, etc. It is the perfect place to come back to after a day of walking to relax on the patio. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the space, which is nice for a little privacy. Our only (very small) annoyance was that the front bedroom got a little loud (due to traffic) in the morning so sleep ins were a no go. But that said, I highly recommend staying in this stylish, well located apartment when you are in SF, it will make your trip to this great city just that much more enjoyable.
Even better than the photos
Clean, quiet, spacious, beautifully appointed and possibly the best bed(s) I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in.
Beautiful apartment, Great Location and Great Service!
The entire experience from beginning to end was absolutely stress-free and enjoyable. We have rented many vacation apartments when traveling to Europe but this was our first vacation rental in the us and we were extremely pleased with the entire process. The owner was extremely responsive and accommodating during the entire process. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted on time and surprised that the apartment looked even larger than the beautiful photos online. The neighborhood is spectacular - one of San Francisco's more upscale neighborhoods and next to the beautiful Dolores Park. The tram is less than a block away - close enough for convenience yet you never seem to even hear it so it will not disturb you while sleeping. We cannot find enough wonderful things to say about this apartment. You will not be disappointed!
Attention to detail makes for a great stay.
It's hard to fault this apartment from its great location across the road from transport, to the iconic view overlooking the city, and finally to the apartment itself, which provides a welcome sanctuary to come home to at the end of a busy day pounding the streets of San Fransisco. It is stylish and comfortable with thoughtful touches such as city guides and board games to make the life of the tourist as easy as possible. The beds are bliss, complemented by quality linen. The accommodation really did enhance our stay in San Fransisco.
Great abode, Excellent Condition and Service
Was staying with 4 friends over 3 days, and the place was immaculate, with all the amenities required! It was really close to the station as well so it was easy to get to downtown, plus there were shops and cafes nearby so it was convenient.
Fell in luv with San Fransisco
The most amazing house...did not want to leave
6 nights in this amazing house with all the needs we could want. Really made us feel at home and every little detail had been thought through by alan.
I would reccomend this to anyone looking for a place to balance the joys of having a holiday and also being able to relax in place you could call your own.
Better than a 5 star hotel...and i have stayed in enough to make that judgement fairly
Beautiful, Hip, Clean & Super Convenient!
This is the best value in the city, and the photos don't lie. The property looks in person exactly as depicted in the photos. It's beautiful! The decor is hip and trendy, but very warm and inviting. It's also big! The amenities are top quality, including fine sheets, pillows, comforters and towels, which are greatly appreciated after a full day of touring. The beds are also super comfortable. We all slept so well and were completely refreshed for the next day of touring! The location is also great; a short, but pretty walk to 24th Street \ Noe Valley where there are blocks and blocks of restaurants and fun stores. The property is also right across the street from a train, which transports you to other parts of the city and to connections for Bart. (And, no, you can't hear the train. The unit has been completely renovated, including new windows so you don't hear a lot of street noise.) You don't need to have a car because of the shopping and public transportation that's close by, but parking is easy if you do have one. The property is also across the street from a park, which you can see from the unit (nice park \ city views) and is nice for kids and for sunning on a warmer day. There's a full kitchen with eating area that seats 4-5 people, and there's also an outdoor patio with seating for 4+ and a BBQ. All of the kitchen appliances look new and are totally clean. It was sometimes chilly when we were there and the heater worked great; it heats the entire unit, not just a few rooms like some older properties we've stayed in that have not been updated. This property has been completely updated. Complimentary coffee, wine, beer and water is also a nice touch. The owner has not missed a thing. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again and again. It's very kid-friendly too. You won't be disappointed.
