The house left us open-mouthed when we first arrived. Nice rooms, beautiful simple decor, lots of light both in the street side of the house and in the dining room side overlooking the garden, very clean, well equipped kitchen. Besides, the neighbourhood is so nice it turn out to be one of our favourites in SFO. Downtown, Mision, Waterfront can be easily reached through several buses.
The only issue I can think of is that it would have been useful to have some kind of device to lock the door of the rest-rooms: we had to engineer our own vacant/occupied sign. Also another shower felt necessary at times in a 3 double room house.
It is not budget accomodation, but it cost us a bit less than a hotel for 6 and was far, far better!

My family and I stayed at the Page Garden rental property, and were very pleased with the house. The check in was very smooth and trouble-free. Our two younger kids, 7 and 11 years old loved the place so much, that it was a challenge to get them to go shopping or sight seeing. They enjoyed just lounging in the living room and hanging out in the dining area and exploring the three bedrooms.
The house was warm and cozy and the neighborhood was quiet and clean. What I loved mostly, was the kitchen. The cupboards had every kind of dish and glasses for convenience. My husband and I prepared meals in the morning and evening and all the appliances were in perfect condition, making everything so enjoyable. The beds had top quality linen and the mattresses very comfortable. We loved the old fashioned architecture of the home and it was a great experience of relaxing in the ambiance of Old San Francisco.
I would suggest that the futon in the living room be replaced as it is a bit old and takes away a bit of the elegance of this most beautiful home.

When we arrived to the apartment, it was better than the pictures - they just didn't even do it justice. It is a beautiful, fully restored 3 bedroom (2.5 bedroom) Victorian, complete with a lovely backyard/patio space with chalkboards for the kids and a BBQ for the yum. The kitchen is fully functional and amazing - one down side, the knives are all dull...but not the worst thing in the world. Even had laundry, with supplies - well - supplied! The second bathroom is just a toilet - no sink to wash your hands, but trust me, this is the not a big deal in the scheme of things. The flat was clean and quiet - and in a great neighborhood - just down the street from everything the Haight has to offer and very close to transportation for getting around. Two minor issues: the temperature was weird at night, it got very warm, even with the heat off (maybe the upstairs neighbors had the heat on?) and two: it is really only beds for three couples - we were three singles, one couple and two kids. There is a portable crib for baby - but we had to borrow an air mattress from a friend in town. And the couch pulled out but only really comfortable for one person. So although it says up to 8 (think more likely 7, 2 in each bed, and 1 on the couch and a baby...
But otherwise, I wanted to stay forever...seriously, you couldn't get a better deal. We highly recommend and would certainly stay here again in the future!

Great apartment in a traditional victorian home in the historical haight ashbury neighborhood.
Typical layout with one bedroom with pocket doors off the living room, large and well stocked kitchen, smaller bedroom in the hallway, and fantastic master bedroom and dining room overlooking the manucured garden (think al fresco breakfast, evening bbq...). Clean bath and separate toilet. Tons of storage space.
The street is quiet, but you're a block away from all. There is a great local supermarket where you can find everything one block away.
Very convenient location, a cpl of block from the Golden Gate park, 2 bus lines to downtown, 2 or 3 others to the rest of the city. Parking in the house is usefull but tiny and you will need to slalom around another car - not unusual for San Fran, but surprising...).
Decor is nice and should please most. Furniture is a bit worn, but the owner is constantly upgrading the apartment (2 new rugs, and a big flat screen TV were added when we were there...).

Boutikia was excellent on all counts, the unit was clean and well appointed-Minor improvements if I were looking for a "5" from us, beds were a little uncomfortable- I realize that is a personal issue and maybe they would be perfect for others. Living room could have been a nicer place to hang- more/better seating and reading lamp/lamps, and I wish the wireless worked better.
We were meeting in SF (a family of 4) this place was just right for us and I would use again.

We enjoyed our six-day stay at Page Garden. It is a large first floor home in a shared building--a railroad flat. Good sized bedrooms, nice dining room, decent kitchen. Some of the furnishing were a bit worn (such as the living room rug) but overall it was in a good condition.
A few caveats: There is only one full bathroom, so that makes it difficult with a full house. The garage is amazingly tiny and you really need to spend a lot of time figuring out how to make the turns to get out of it. (It is shared with two other cars.) The street is fine, but the Haight-Asbury neighborhood is very funky. It's not for everyone.
The service from Boutikia was excellent--check-in and arrangements were a breeze.

September 2012 in San Francisco : a good way to discover hospitality and kindness of people in California.
The Haight-Ashbury district is close to center , near the Golden Gate Park and the house was very nice, comfortable.
One thing could be better the neighborood were a little noisy...
A very good experience , thanks to Boutikia !
This rental was very spacious with 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms. The place was very well kept and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal. The location was great, very close to Golden Gate Park. Grocery store within a short walking distance. The parking was not a problem, we were able to find parking on nearby streets. Driving to and from Downtown San Francisco was not challanging, only a 20 to 30 minute drive. The support team at Boutikia was very helpful in answering all of my questions prior to our arrival. I would recommend this place to families staying with children or family and friends.

Amazing apartment But Surrounded by Children and Construction

The Page Garden apartment is a lovely rental, but is suited really more for a family or people on leisure travel than for business travels. Why? Around 6:30 am each morning, the sounds of screaming and running children abound from above and next door the loud sounds of construction can be heard. The sounds of upstairs scurrying seems to last all morning. Perhaps it is part of the city environment, but Page Gardens is not peaceful.
Location is great -walking distance to the park and the DeYoung; a Whole Foods 3 blocks away; easy access into the city. Kitchen is loaded with dishes and pots; but otherwise it's fend for yourself (buy olive oil, etc.) The bathroom needs a bath mat and it would have been nice if they had given us soap.
All in all, this place was lovely, but it feels like it's not owned by a person, rather a company, so corners are cut; there was no nice touches, no greetings, no check ins to see if we were content during our stay. Being told one needs to strip all your sheets, gather all your towels and start a load of laundry before checking out by 11am when you're paying $500 a day plus a $150+ cleaning fee rubbed us all wrong. Would we recommend it? Yes. But understand that these are the requirements so you won't be disappointed too.
