LOCATION AND ATTRACTIONS:
Located in the heart of San Francisco’s lively, historic North Beach District, which is commonly referred to as “Little Italy”. Nestled between russian Hill and Telegraph Hill in walking distance to the SF Bay!
North Beach has it ALL:
Classic Cable cars,
Lombard Street (the “world’s crookedest” street)
the famous Coit Tower; landmark buildings;
the challenging steep slopes of Russian Hill and Telegraph Hill; fantastic bay and city views; an outstanding, international selection of restaurants and cafes, clubs and saloons with live music, poetry readings and cafe opera; excellent small theaters and a diverse cluster of retail shops. Our cornerstones are the San Francisco Art Institute, City Lights Bookstore, and the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi, the City’s oldest parish church established during the Gold Rush.
North Beach’s famous streets each have unique identities. Today (Upper) Grant Avenue, formerly the heart of the Beats’ hangouts, is a four block stretch of contemporary fashion boutiques, bohemian enclaves and cafes. Neon clad Broadway, where Topless began in 1964, remains focused on adult entertainment, strip clubs and great restaurants. Caffeine filledColumbus Avenue is one of America’s great boulevards with views of the Transamerica Pyramid to the south and Mount Tamalpais in distant Marin to the north.
In North Beach not only do you hear Italian, Chinese, Farsi, Arabic, French and Spanish, you also hear bellowing, reassuring fog horns and barking sea lions from the nearby bay, as well as the incessant noisy chatter of wild parrots that have chosen to reside here.
QUIET HOUR POLICY: QUIET HOURS are defined as hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays and from 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM on weekends. The property is a great size for the group we had (6 adults). Three great sized bedrooms. We found the bedrooms on the street were very noisy at night - but the bedroom in the hallway set off the street was very quiet. Neighbors were very friendly, and gave us a great tip for a delicious breakfast (Mo's - you have to go there!). One drawback was that the beds are rock hard. Customer Service from boutikia was second to none - we felt very taken care of - and they were happy to go above and beyond for us if needed. That alone would make me go back. Location is incredible as well - you can walk everywhere and the cafe's around the corner are incredible.

The location was great as promised although we received no answers to a few simple questions we wrote about ease of access to the airport. Thus we got no personal service that could have also warned us about the only North Beach festival was being held the day we arrived. The police blocked streets cost us over an hour of driving around in circles that our gps couldn't help us with. The place had all the facilities promised but the grill appeared to be shared with regular tenants and that could have been awkward but they were cool about it. Only one bath was a drawback our three couple group were prepared for that. The toilet screamed like a banshee after use, but kept working fine. The place was clean but is overdue for a total renovation. There was only extreme noise on the Saturday night of the festival. This is a big city and we accept the tradeoff of noise for living in a great neighborhood. We loved SF and want very much to return.

We are a family of five (3 boys aged 16, 9 and 7) and found this accommodation to be like a home away from home.
1. Location was great. Situated in Little Italy there were lots of lovely places to eat or have coffee in. It was a short walk down to Fishermans Wharf Pier 39 or to the alcatraz Cruises. We walked everywhere but there were bus and tram services nearby that you could use.
2. The bedrooms were large and as described. The kitchen came in handy for the one home cooked meal I made (ate out the rest of the time) the washing machine and dryer made life easy.
1.we had some confusion on arrival as my original documentation stated that we were staying at 1729 Stockton St San Francisco, when we arrived I looked at the last email I received with info on where to pick up the keys and noticed a different address which I did not realise until after the taxi had dropped us off! luckily the other address on Vallejo St was only a few blocks away but still a struggle with all of our suitcases.
Secondly the bathroom needs a huge renovate. I had to unclog the bath drain hole (full of hairs ugh) as the shower was not draining and plus the toilet kept clogging up and we needed to use the drain plunger several times during our stay.
The accommodation is in a noisy location. The bar across the road stayed open til all hours, playing music and people standing outside smoking inbetween their pool games. The police station also created some noise with their sirens.
To end with a positive - I would stay there again and recommend this accommodation to my friends. It is much nicer than staying in a hotel. My kids loved the board games that are provided, the free wi-fi, the great tv and free local phone calls.

We had a great experience with our stay at 'North Beach' from start to finish. Located just a few steps from the local Police Station and literally half a block to Walgreen's, this apartment was great!
Communication was terrific - before, during and after our stay. The apartment was clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable.
Very close to cable car stops or a nice walk to many of San Francisco's sights. Ten minute walk at most to Coit Tower and Lombard Street.
Boutikia provided everything we needed for our stay and were very prompt with anything we requested - ie washing powder, help to operate the television...
I would definitely recommend this place to our family and friends and would love to come back and stay again.
Plenty of room for our family of seven.
Thanks so much for making our trip to San Francisco so enjoyable!!

Very clean and comfy apartment. Everything around we needed for our stay in San Francisco. It felt like a home away from home. The beds are comfortable and there was more soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. than we could use in a week. Everything was well maintained and worked like it should work. The owner is friendly and was perfectly arranged.

The apartment was great! It was nice to have the extra space for our family. Clean, neat, comfortable space. It is really on the edge of Chinatown and not quite in North Beach. It was also very, very noisy on Saturday night, there is a bar across the street.

Stayed in the apartment for 5 days during mid June, 2012. I did some research on where I thought would be a good "neighborhood" location to stay. North Beach is sensational, the apartment (comfortable, older style, good TV) is on the border between Chinatown and Little Italy, walkable to Fisherman's Wharf if you want, downtown and the Bart. We were after pubs, restaurants and a good vibe, it's all here, we also had the North Beach street festival on while we were there. I would certainly stay in the apartment again.
