We are a family of five (3 boys aged 16, 9 and 7) and found this accommodation to be like a home away from home.
Positives -
1. Location was great. Situated in Little Italy there were lots of lovely places to eat or have coffee in. It was a short walk down to Fishermans Wharf Pier 39 or to the alcatraz Cruises. We walked everywhere but there were bus and tram services nearby that you could use.
2. The bedrooms were large and as described. The kitchen came in handy for the one home cooked meal I made (ate out the rest of the time) the washing machine and dryer made life easy.
Negatives -
1.we had some confusion on arrival as my original documentation stated that we were staying at 1729 Stockton St San Francisco, when we arrived I looked at the last email I received with info on where to pick up the keys and noticed a different address which I did not realise until after the taxi had dropped us off! luckily the other address on Vallejo St was only a few blocks away but still a struggle with all of our suitcases.
Secondly the bathroom needs a huge renovate. I had to unclog the bath drain hole (full of hairs ugh) as the shower was not draining and plus the toilet kept clogging up and we needed to use the drain plunger several times during our stay.
The accommodation is in a noisy location. The bar across the road stayed open til all hours, playing music and people standing outside smoking inbetween their pool games. The police station also created some noise with their sirens.
To end with a positive - I would stay there again and recommend this accommodation to my friends. It is much nicer than staying in a hotel. My kids loved the board games that are provided, the free wi-fi, the great tv and free local phone calls. -

We had a great experience with our stay at 'North Beach' from start to finish. Located just a few steps from the local Police Station and literally half a block to Walgreen's, this apartment was great!
Communication was terrific - before, during and after our stay. The apartment was clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable.
Very close to cable car stops or a nice walk to many of San Francisco's sights. Ten minute walk at most to Coit Tower and Lombard Street.
Boutikia provided everything we needed for our stay and were very prompt with anything we requested - ie washing powder, help to operate the television...
I would definitely recommend this place to our family and friends and would love to come back and stay again.
Plenty of room for our family of seven.

Very clean and comfy apartment. Everything around we needed for our stay in San Francisco. It felt like a home away from home. The beds are comfortable and there was more soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. than we could use in a week. Everything was well maintained and worked like it should work. The owner is friendly and was perfectly arranged.

The apartment was great! It was nice to have the extra space for our family. Clean, neat, comfortable space. It is really on the edge of Chinatown and not quite in North Beach. It was also very, very noisy on Saturday night, there is a bar across the street.

Stayed in the apartment for 5 days during mid June, 2012. I did some research on where I thought would be a good "neighborhood" location to stay. North Beach is sensational, the apartment (comfortable, older style, good TV) is on the border between Chinatown and Little Italy, walkable to Fisherman's Wharf if you want, downtown and the Bart. We were after pubs, restaurants and a good vibe, it's all here, we also had the North Beach street festival on while we were there. I would certainly stay in the apartment again.
