MilwaukeeGreat location, great home!
Left on 05/16/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The house and garden are beautiful and well cared for. Staying in a San Francisco Victorian made our vacation very special. We were within walking distance to many of San Francisco's best sights.

CalgaryGreat location for our San Francisco family reunion
Left on 04/16/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Or group comprised of 9 adults and we found the Pacific Heights house perfect for our needs. The kitchen is large enough to accommodate all, and the "beer fridge" in the counter was actually an extra freezer, so be warned! Our mistake. Shopping and public transportation was all close as well as some good restaurants. Lots of dishes and it was nice to have coffee, salt and pepper and cooking spices available for our use.

Taipei, TaiwanLiving large in San Francisco like the upscale locals...
Left on 12/29/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Our company had invited a group of 10 professionals to visit and work in San Francisco for 2 weeks from abroad, and this Victorian house was the best for the value, the location, the amenities and especially the service.
The house is located in a very nice and convenient Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, just 5 minutes drive from the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco and 10 minutes from The Presidio National Park near Golden Gate Bridge. It's very near California Street, which has Mollie Stones grocery, Whole Foods, Laurel Village Shopping District, Fillmore District, all within a 5 to 10 minutes drive.
The amenities in the house are just wonderful. A big and spacious cook's kitchen with all the dish ware and cook ware you can think of, awesome stove and oven and dishwasher, a formal dining room, super comfortable beds with great mattresses, beautiful bathrooms. The living room and backyard was great for just hanging out. We threw a private gathering there one night with catered food and it was just perfect!
From the time we booked the place, to our arrival, stay and departure, the service from the Boutikia team was always top-notch, prompt, thorough, and friendly. We could call anytime day or night, and we always got a call back and a real answer to any of our questions within an hour. If we had special requests or special needs, or needed extra blankets and comforters, the Boutikia staff worked hard to accommodate our requests.
Our international group had a fabulous time in this house, did really great work, and formed great friendships here. We look forward to booking it again every year! -

SacramentoLarge Home in Great Location
Left on 10/22/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Rented this house for a wedding party. The rooms are spacious, one of the bedrooms can comfortly fit a family of 5. Great location for bus servicefor sight seeing and walking for local restruants. The garden is an added plus if the weather is good. Make sure to add parking to your stay as parking in the neighbor is scarce and traffic cops are always around. We will rent again for a family reunion.

flushing, mifabulous house
Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012
This house was large enough for 3 generations to spread out with privacy in sleeping areas and plenty of space in communal rooms. It was clean upon our arrival and presented no problems the entire time we stayed. We could easily walk to resturants, grocery store, bus stops, and even Catholic church!

Place was underfurnished and just plain ordinary.

Steve, we are very disappointed to hear that your experience at this home is average. This review is such a contrast from what our other guests have been telling us. We would love to improve based on your review if there is more specific explanation on what is under furnished.

Lake Tahoe, NevadaA beautiful property
Left on 06/13/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We recently stayed at the Pacific Heights location for our niece's college graduation and we couldn't have asked for a better property to rent. The company who manages the property was very friendly and accommodating and the home was exactly how it was pictured on the web site. The property was beautiful and we intend to refer and rent properties from this company again.

HonoluluGreat house in a great neighborhood!!
Left on 05/31/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We rented the house for 5 nights for my daughters graduation from USF. We had 11 people from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Utah and Hawaii. Bright and early, all in attendance for the ceremony and then lunch at the R&G; Lounge (recommended by anthony Bourdain). It was a bit overpriced but it was event dining and everyone found something they really enjoyed. We had a laugh each reading our fortunes from the cookies at meal end. After that, everyone scattered throughout the city. Some took tours, others (me) went home and napped!!. That night some of us had Mexican on Divisadero, others found the House of Prime Rib and others yet ordered in Thai. The next day we hopped into cars and headed out to Napa. Some tasting and a picnic and the warmth of the sun made our day. People scattered again for the evening. One group went out for Korean, another had massages and ended up at the Tonga Bar drinking umbrella drinks at the Fairmont Hotel. Others chose to sleep off the wine and the sun. The next morning four of our group headed home, the rest of us had an awesome breakfast at The Lighthouse in Sausalito. Do not miss it!! That afternoon, four of us played golf at The Presidio and the other two went to the Museum of Modern art. That night we enjoyed italian at Gaspares, recommended by the Boutikia staff. Really nice thin crust pizza and tasty pasta, reasonably priced!!
The house is comfortable and everyone absolutely raved about the comfy beds. Having only two bathrooms required planning and positioning but no one seemed to have a problem. We parked both an suv and a minivan in the garage underneath!! The french bakery Boulange is a four short block walk and is not to be missed. I am still thinking about the BLT on a fresh baguette I saw in the window. All in all, a great house in a great neighborhood for a family gathering. Aloha!!

Los AngelesCharming, roomy home in lovely neighborhood -- needs updating
Left on 01/20/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We had a large family reunion in SF, and this home had all the rooms and living/dining spaces we needed. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped and we appreciated all the extra blankets/pillows/sheets available. There was even a playpen/cot that we used for our toddler to sleep in.
Our main complaint is the house needs some updating. For the large number of bedrooms, there are only two bathrooms. The first floor bathroom is the more updated one and gets better hot water, which is unfortunate considering most of the bedrooms are on the second floor. The second floor bathroom is a little cramped and has almost no shelf space -- which is an issue if you're living with a pile of family members.
Also, the doorknobs stick (my mother and aunt found themselves locked in their bedroom in the middle of the night and had to text someone to let them out.) Boutikia sent a repairman to fix the knobs, but the other knobs in the house are pretty loose/in need of repair.
Lastly, although there are lovely lamps appointed in each bedroom -- due to how the furniture is arranged, you'll often find that there are no convenient outlets to plug them into!
Despite the small inconveniences, my family and I had a great time there. The neighborhood is adorable. It's a quick walk to a great supermarket and all the restaurants/wine stores/shops of Fillmore street. The shops on Divisadero are more downscale, but they have great bars.
