BettendorfPerceptions must be very different from person to person!
Left on 05/17/2013 for a stay in May 2013
First I want to list positives. The kitchen was ver nice and very clean. We did cook once and had to clean the dutch oven pan as it was dirty. Bathroom was new but ver small with the back door leading out to the backyard. Felt very awkward. I loved the character of the house. We were overwhemed though by the uncleaned nursing home odor from the beginning. It was pervasive! Smelled of feces! Do not believe that this is a true apartment. There are no locks separating you from the owners! Also it was understood that we shared an entry from the information nothing was said concerning that there would be a separation from the bedroom/living room and the kitchen and bathroom. To go to the kitchen or bathroom one must go out into the common area. not much fun making sure that you are fully clothed in the middle of the night. Want peace and quiet? This not the place for you! They are very nocturnal and were up all through the night! Often heard fighting and once heard something break! I had 2 hours of sleep during this past evening due the the noise coming from above! Woke up all 3 mornings by the voice of someone speaking a different language under the bedroom window. I appreciate that this person was happy, talking and laughing but not at earlier then 7am. We arrived early evening on 5-14-13. No parking anywhere! Daughter was driving and stayed in car as we were led to believe that there was a place to park with a parking permit. On contract it clearly states that if we lose the parking permit we would need to pay 150.00 to replace it. The only reason we are doing a review is due to the fact that we will not get our deposit back until we do a review! The first evening it took us an hour to find a parking spot several blocks away and to walk uphill back to the house. We will probably not get our deposit back due to this review but I do not want others to have to deal with these issues when you should be enjoying your vacation! Unsure why + reviews!

yorktown, inback to city life
Left on 01/07/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We lived in larger cities like NYC, Istanbul. For the past five year we have lived in a small town in Indiana. It was good to be back in the city. Our goal was to relive the experience of living in a big city. We were able to use the public transportation even though we also rent a car. The metro N was three blocks away, the only problem was to walk up the hill for kids but it is SF, everywhere is hill. We have two kids at age of 8 and 10. Michael was very nice and informative when he introduced the apartment to us. He lives upstairs. The entrance is shared. He has a lovely kitchen but we did not have a chance to use it much because we spent much of our time out in the city.He has a good computer. A very clean house and everything you can imagine you need. He provides you a permit and parking is not a big problem, there is always at least a space near the house. House is very close to Golden Gate Park and there are several eateries around. House has a lovely garden but it was cold for us to utilize it. I wish we were there in a different season. The only con is shared heating system. We are not comfortable at low temps (69-70 F) at home and we did not have control over heating.
Response from Michael Myaskovsky - 01/08/2013
Owner
Thank you for staying here.
And I told them temperature 69F-70F is normal, when out side 35F-45F,
because we have automatic heating control.
In each room we have the radiator with very clean warm air.
Check us out.
We ready for you.
Thank you,

Chapel HillDelightful home with everything we needed in a perfect location
Left on 10/17/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This rental is for the entire 1st floor living room, bedroom, very well equipped kitchen and new bathroom with access to the outside deck and gardens. The hosts could not have been nicer and more willing to see that we had maps, resources, and felt oriented to the neighborhood and city. It was immaculately clean. The location was just two blocks from the Muni and 3 blocks from the main entrance to Golden Gate Park. One small detriment was the typical unevenness of a pull out sofa bed. The other large bed was very comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Michael could not have been a more charming host and the accommodation was perfect. Huge amount of space, spotless and well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. We have 2 small children and the location, 10mins walk to GGP, was brilliant. Lovely neighbourhood as well with some fab restaurants and a great ice cream parlour - Holy Gelato.

Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by Michael who then proceeded to give us a lot of helpful information about Gggc & the surrounding community. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. It is spacious, comfortable & has a kitchen with excellent appliances. It is situated in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, close to Golden Gate Park. You can easily get there by walking or taking a short bus ride. Public transportation is two blocks away: the rail line takes you directly downtown, where you can connect easily to other rail/bus lines to all other parts of the city and Bay area (one transfer takes you to all the piers along the waterfront including Fisherman's Wharf). If you will spend more than 5 days in SanFrancisco, we recommend the City Pass, which comes with free admission to many of the city's main attractions, as well as providing you with easy access to all public transportation, except Bart. There are two grocery stores nearby & the one we preferred, Andronicos, (as per Michael's suggestion) was excellent. It is about 4 blocks away & it has all the fine foods, wines, cheeses, baked goods a person needs. The other store is more convenient in that it is only just over 2 blocks away. There are good restaurants in the immediate vicinity & Michael made good suggestions about them.

I stayed there with my husband, father-in-law, and mother-in-law for 3 nights. It was a lovely stay, all of us love this suite very much.
Everything is well-equipped, from the living room to the bedroom; from the bathroom to the kitchen.
When we checked-in, Michael explained in very details, and introduced many good places for us to visit. He is definitely a detail-minded and well-organized host.
The garden is lovely that we can see the sky and stars at the nighttime.
One thing that I love most is the linen used in the bedroom, high-quality and very comfort.
I will recommend this to my friends and definitely will stay here again for my next visit.Response from Michael Myaskovsky - 10/21/2011

My family stayed here for three nights. This is an excellent location for Golden Gate Park attractions like California academy of Sciences, Japanese Tea Garden etc... In addition, there are many great Chinese restaurants in the Sunset and Richmond area. The suite is great and easily accommodated three adults and two children. Michael was very helpful and provided a lot of information regarding San Francisco. Parking on the streets was simple. We were driving a 2011 Toyota Sienna and had no problems finding parking around the block. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit San Francisco. Thank you Michael for your hospitality.

We stayed at this facility for three nights in late april. The location is great...in a quiet neighborhood near Golden Gate park. Michael is very friendly and provides a lot of information for travelers.
The accomodations are very clean and comfortable. The newly renovated kitchen is beautiful. The only draw back is the location of the bathroom. It is behind the kitchen and not accessible from the bedroom... a minor concern. The backyard is georgeous, a great place to sip your morning coffee!
The complementary internet access and guest parking pass make this apartment very convienient...especially if you have a car. (Parking in San Francisco is very expensive.)Response from Michael Myaskovsky - 05/14/2011

This home is very close to the golden gate park. It was perfect for our family. The parking was great and we were able to find a place very nearby each night. It was wonderful to be in a neighborhood where it was quiet and we found lots of fun shops and restaurants nearby. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was great to have a computer to use to look up museums and restaurants. We will stay at Michael's house again when we come to San Francisco.

We stayed for one week with our young-adult sons. My husband and I enjoyed the privacy of having our own bedroom. While our sons especially liked the computer and Internet. The kitchen was wonderful and well-stocked with appliances and dishes. We really enjoyed the convenience of being close to public transportation. You really don't need a car to get just about anywhere in the city. Although we spent almost every day at the museums, our favorite day was spent walking along the beach and through Golden Gate Park.
