We rented Montgomery Heights while our kitchen was being remodeled. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made. Montgomery Heights is in a beautiful location just below Coit Tower and few blocks up from Columbus ave.in the heart of North Beach with its great Italian restaurants. The flat is really large with a nice dining area adjacent to the living room. Our Bedroom was exquisite. There is a view of the bay from the balcony. There is also a patio and a downstairs second bedroom. A washer & dryer is available in the garage area. They even provide a barbecue which is not common in the city.
The owners live upstairs and are both gracious and very helpful. Parking is a major problem in the city and you would be well advised to find a private garage you can rent if you are bringing your car. We rented one from a large apartment complex on Union Street, just a half a block from Montgomery Heights. The hills are steep but you get plenty of good exercise walking home.

Great location for those who are able to climb steps and steep hills. Nice patio with a view of the water. Walking distance to great food and shopping. 2 blocks from local transportation.

Great location - breathtaking views from the deck. Spacious, roomy.
The property is on top of Telegraph Hill, so be prepared to walk (a great walk nevertheless)
The carpets in the master bedroom and the smaller room downstairs are a getting a bit musty. Need to be chucked or replaced -

We spent a wonderful New Year's weekend in San Francisco with my teenage son. The two bedroom apartment was easy to find and met all our needs. There was plenty of room and privacy for all. For a wonderful weekend (or longer) this apartment is great. (One note about staying on Telegraph Hill - don't bring a car - either walk or take cabs - this is one of the toughest neighborhoods in SF to find a parking spot and the neighborhood parking laws limit you to 2 hours if you don't have a tag. There is a good 24-hour garage about three blocks down the hill that is easily accessible.)

Home away from home. Very interesting and historical area of San Francisco, close to city, restaurants, Chinatown. Comfortable and roomy. Great views. Really enhanced our stay in this great city.

the apartment was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well stocked with the basics. it felt like home away from home. lovely view of the bay, nice light, peaceful, centrally located. we loved staying here. the only problem was the internet connection was slow, but otherwise, it was perfect.
