Description from the manager
Pacific Heights At Alta Plaza Park
The Pacific Studio is an oasis of tranquility in one of San Francisco's most
prestigious neighborhoods. The studio is in a classic Pacific Heights building
and features a view onto a professionally landscaped garden. The dynamic
shopping and dining area of upper Fillmore is only a block away yet at the same
time, the studio itself is very quiet. The location of the property is very
central and also just one block away from public transportation.
You will
enter the building lobby and climb the stairs to the second floor. As you enter

New York CityGreat location. Mediocre apartment.
Left on 02/01/2012 for a stay in November 2011
This apartment has a fantastic location. It's very close to all the cute shops in Pacific Heights. Easy downtown access through several bus lines.
However, the apartment itself is kind of crumby. In November it was cold, but there is a big sign on the heater saying that it malfunctions and that it shouldn't be used. Two space heaters are provided, but if you try to run them both, it will blow a circuit. To get to the circuit breaker, you need to go outside. It kind of smells musty.
The bathroom is strange. The shower spigot extends from the ceiling into an old fashioned tub below, but the walls aren't tiled, so there is sheet plastic that is falling down in places to protect the walls and the floors. Also, the water pressure is very low.
Final note - no parking is included with this rental. The street parking situation is OK - we were always able to find a spot. However, you will be ticked if you leave a car parked during a weekday and don't have a residential parking permit.
Service from Casa buena was very good (e.g. I had to wake them up in the middle of the night to find the circuit breaker and they answered the phone and were cheerful) and they also helped me with left-behind items. However, I'd recommend going with a different Casa buena apartment. Their other apartments I have stayed in are much better.Response from Casa Buena Vista Rental - 02/03/2012

We understand and appreciate the complaint of the guests. The issue in the bathroom has been rectified. This is generally a well received unit but it is in an older building with some issues.

Nottingham UKa neat flat in an interesting andconvenient area
Left on 11/02/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The flat suited me very well. There were no shared walls so it was quiet. The outside deck was a throughway and quite small but I didn't want to sit out so it wasn't a problem. there were cafes, restaurants, parks and buses moments away.
having to travel to collect the keys from the agents office was inconvenient after a long journey but they were flexible about arrival times and did ring for a taxi so that cancelled this out.
A good place to stay for me travelling alone. -

St-Lazare, Quebec, CanadaGreat Neighborhood
Left on 09/16/2011 for a stay in August 2011
As two women traveling together we felt very safe in this neighborhood. The shops, restaurants and grocery stores in the neighborhood were all fantastic ... as was the bus service. If you are fit, you could walk to most scenic attractions ... Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, from this location ... just make sure you wear good walking shoes.
The unit itself was clean, very quiet and well equipped ... only complaint was the tub/shower could use updating and the kitchen window did not lock.
Great value for your money ... would definitely stay at this location again! -

Wonderful location, amazing neighborhood...close to shopping and restaurants. Had a great time. Parking was a little tight but we were always able to find a spot within a few blocks so it was no trouble. Casa Buena Vista Rentals was excellent with their customer service. We had originally booked another apt. but there was a maintenance issue and they took care of everything and made sure we had wonderful alternate accommodations. they emailed us about the situation and let us know where our new place was located and had everything ready for pickup...went flawlessly.

Buckinghamshire EnglandA tired and over-priced apartment
Left on 08/04/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The studio apartment was in a great location but it was very tired and badly in need of investment. Sticky tape around the bath tub, the shower barely dripped, broken chair, worn carpet and flooring. No plug for the basin - and the bedlinen/towels needed replacing. This place could be value for the high rental if it had a complete refit. No-one called from Casa Beuna Vista to see if everything was okay. Disappointing for my first San Francisco experience.

TorontoWell-organized rental experience
Left on 03/06/2011 for a stay in January 2011
The website is easy to navigate, emails are returned promptly, booking a property is hassle-free, check-in information is detailed and easy to follow even when in an unfamiliar city, property in Pacific Heights was well-situated and well-kept with good amenities, there were easily accessible property representives if any minor problems were encountered, and minor problems were addressed immediately. Very good value in an expensive city.
